One of the best places for dinner in Chania. Everything we ordered was exceptional and the service is great too (which is not always the case in Chania). Don’t miss the great selection of wines.

After around 10 days in Greece, this has been our best restaurant experience so far! Our waiter gave great recommendations with regards to our food and wine, was incredibly friendly and overall just deserves a raise. We shared the Cretan caprese bruschetta, the tuna tartare and the shrimp starter. All were delicious. From our entire experience we had nothing negative to remark. The location was very pleasant, a bit quieter than the main squares of Chania but still a nice, lively street with multiple restaurants.

A bit more pricey than other restaurants around and not as traditional as others but worth it. For 60€ per person we shared between two people : 1 tuna tataki as starter, 1 lamb and 1 pork for mains, 1 millefeuille for dessert, 1 gin tonic and 2 glasses of wine. All the food was delicious, well plated, and in good amounts. Most importantly it did not feel heavy (too oily or sweet) as in many other traditional restaurants. The restaurant had a very good atmosphere, nice elegant decorations, with beautiful spaces both indoor and on the outdoor terrace. The waiter was very nice - had some good fun with him. We had called the place around noon and could book a table for 21:30 so I would recommend booking in advance. Enjoy

We stumbled upon this restaurant and wasn't disappointed, we hadn't made a reservation, but the staff welcomed us in and allocated us a table on the terrace, the food was amazing and was by far the best place we had eaten! The wine was good and the fois gras and duck to start was like something you would expect in a fine dining restaurant, the steak and lamb for main was cooked to perfection! The setting was great on the terrace and added to the experience, the staff were attentive and we would highly recommend, it was expensive but you pay for what you get! Would definitely visit again.

Amazing family run restaurant situated in the old town. The restaurant felt really special with a homely feel. The waiter was very passionate about wine and was extremely helpful in choosing the best wines to suit the food. The food was really good. But unfortunately my ribeye was overcooked. Other than that everything else was perfect. Certainly one of the more expensive places to eat in chania, but it does feel unique and less touristy.

Delicious seafood and steak with an extensive wine list and hospitable staff committed to tasteful pairing suggestions. The terrace overlooks the bay and is a sublime place to watch the sun set. Well worth a booking!

This was honestly the best dinner of my solo trip to chania. I came to Crete because I love Greek wine and this was the only restaurant that wanted to talk wine by the glass with a solo traveler. The food was delicious and the view was stunning for sunset dinner. What a surprise treat!

Great little place in the heart of Chania. We did not eat there but ordered some wine based from the waitress’ selection. Both wines we ordered were excellent. They gave you a little salmon cream cheese starter to enjoy free of charge which went perfect with the wine.

At this little place we had the most amazing experience in Greece so far. We had the bruschetta with cheese and pesto, tuna tartare, and scampi. Honestly can’t fault it, each dish was incredible. In addition, a great selection of wine and beers. The lovely waiter really made us feel at home, and had some great recommendations without being pushy. Will probably come back for the restaurant upstairs as they have a bigger menu apparently!

This place is split between a bar & bistro (ground floor) and the restaurant at the top with a view. They have different menus but do share a few dishes. We had the mushroom risotto, beef carpaccio, and Buffala salad (very similar to Caprese salad). Each dish was so good and I recommend anyone visiting to eat here. The servers are so passionate about how good their food is that our waiter shared their favourite cheese and wine from the restaurant. Needless to say, what was shared was delicious. When I come back to Crete, I definitely would eat here again.

Tuna and steak tartare for starters, followed by a lamb and veal main, with a chocolate dessert. Can not fault anything! The ambiance. The staff. The service. The food…. Amazing!!!

Very nice and cozy place. Maybe our favorite this time in old harbour of Chania. Great food, good wines. We will be back! We got also a very nice romantic table.

So good, we went back a second time! Food was delicious; we had the burrata salad with fresh pesto, the mushroom risotto and sea bass, all really good. Lovely space on the second floor of a Venetian house, staff were excellent, warm, welcoming and there’s also a good selection of wine by the glass. Recommend.

What a surprise this restaurant was! After entering the building and going up the stairs, we discovered a terrace with a beautiful view and a warm welcome. The food was delicious and refined, with great wine suggested by the knowledgeable staff. A really great dinner, especially if your eager to taste some great Black Angus or pork tenderloins.

The Burguer was great. No question about it. But for 18€, you shouldn't have to pay extra 2€ for ketchup. The place is wonderfull and have a beautiful concept. But there are focus more on the clientes that consume wine. The others are for minor importance.

Amazing. Best restaurant we tried in Chania. Sea bass was delicious with wonderful sauce. Also had Tuna tartare and lamb - all very delicious and creative tastes. We got lucky with a garden patio seating, would book in advance. Service was wonderful too - Wish we could buy the free dessert wine to bring home!

I pondered for weeks on where to go for dinner on my 60th Birthday, reading review after review. I eventually plumped for Oinoa and oh boy did I hit the jackpot. The food, drink and service were exceptional. A special mention to Nikki the sommelier, put your trust in her to pair the wines, you won’t be disappointed.

The best food experience we had in Chania, when we arrived there the table was not ready and offered us two glasses of wine and let us choose which one, that’s classy! Atmosphere was great and really calm, our waiter was super and we appreciated his knowledge about the wine list, I tried the Vidiano rose. If you’re in Chania you must step by Oinoa!

We ate here yesterday evening, everything was perfect. We took carpaccio and tuna tartare for starters and lamb for mains. Lamb was probably best I have ever eaten. Sparkling wine and red wine which we had was perfect. Especially red was amazing, you should try it (see pictures). Definitely best dinner which we had in Crete so far.

👍👍 Nice and looks as new. There is a wide variety of food, pizza, pasta, Greek classics, eggs, burgers, ribs, etc. Nice view in the open kitchen and a very busy take away service but complete out of the sight from the guests. The Greek pizza was big, the pasta was tasty. And the bill was a surprise. L...

👍 Location is excellent, near the port, but secluded enough to not be in the main tourist paths, in the shade. They didn’t bring water to the table, something we got used to by default in Crete, so that was a bit disappointing. The service overall was good though, staff is responsive and accommodating...
