I would like to share my excellent experience in Serenissima hotel. As a Professional Tourist Guide I have been to Chania mumerous times and have stayed in many of the hotels in town. Serenissima suites in the old town of Chania is exceptional! The rooms are spotless So very clean plus esthetically so very impressive. Feels like going back in time with all the amenities of modern luxuries. As the hotel is located in the Venitian part of town it has been totally refurbished beautifully. In a quiet lane a few minutes walk to all the monuments and markets it is an ideal place to stay and explore the prefecture of Chania. DON'T MISS BREAKFAST. Make sure you give yourselves time for breakfast. Of course try the local delicacies from the menu.Cretan pies with honey and dill local cheese ,and their SRTAPATSATHA was my favourite. Dimitris and Ioanna are eager to accommodate your every request and give you recommendations . Having been in the hospitality business for years they are truly professionals.

We stayed at Serenissima about 3 weeks ago and it was the most enjoyable stay. It is the cutest boutique hotel. Our room was perfect and very clean. The front desk people were amazing. The guy gave us very helpful information about the area and recommended two traditional Cretan restaurants that were excellent. We highly recommend Ta Chalkina. Excellent traditional Cretan food. Breakfast at Serenissima was just right to get our morning started. The hotel was quiet and we had the most enjoyable stay. We don't recommend that you bring too much luggage since there is no parking close by and you have to drag your luggage through the cobblestone alley's. This hotel gets a 5 star hands down from us. Highly recommend you stay here.

The staff here are amazing, they went out of their way to make our stay great. The location is really perfect and it is beautiful inside - the automatic blinds were very cool. I would argue however that this is not really a 5 star hotel. The desk is not 24 hours, there is no room service, and there is not an on-site restaurant anymore. I think these services are required to consider the hotel 5-stars. I also paid €60 euros for a small bag of laundry which I think is OUTRAGEOUS, I still regret doing it. The staff is the main reason I rate this so highly, the cleaners and front desk staff were all so kind and helpful - for them alone I would suggest it.

Truly the best hotel my husband and I have ever stayed in. Let’s start with the building itself: it has incredible character and is charming beyond measure - the stone walls and wooden ceilings were breathtaking. Also, the cleanliness and attention to detail were wonderful. Another amazing feature was the staff: every single staff member was a pleasure to interact with, from the front desk staff, to the restaurant and cleaning staff. Every day we were met with a smile and such kind service from someone working. Finally, the location is dead centre in the middle of the old town, but is on a quieter/more inconspicuous street, allowing us to feel like we had our own slice of heaven. A hotel has never felt like home the way this one did. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely outstanding in every aspect of presentation and service. The morning breakfast is delicious and cooked fresh to order. Centrally located in the old town of Chania everything is in easy walking distance. If you’re looking for a quiet place in the heart of Chania you have found gold.

What a pleasant stay at Serenissima, a quiet boutique hotel where everything you need is in close proximity. We stayed here 4 nights and had such a comfortable stay thanks to Varvara and Vasilis. Thank you for all your recommendations and warm welcome. Although we were disappointed to have a cloudy day, Varvara helped us plan a different itinerary to avoid the bad weather and still have a great day! Breakfast at the hotel was also delicious with great service. Had a very relaxing and stress-free stay, thank you Serenissima!

This is a truly beautiful little hotel that offers a magic stay and experience. Located in the old town close to the waterfront, this is a stunningly restored old mansion. The finishes are absolutely gorgeous, the service and hospitality is first class, Molton Brown bathroom amenities are lovely, the heady aroma of Jasmin in the stone walled courtyard - wow! Last but not least you should not miss the breakfasts, especially the Cretan delicacies menu its delicious!

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was a fantastic hotel. The breakfast was very tasty and we enjoyed it. The staff was extremely helpful - especially with getting our luggage to and from the hotel along with accommodating to store our luggage after checkout. It is in a great location - very easy to get to all of main attractions/restaurants in Old Town. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here, and would highly recommend to stay here!

My friend and I stayed at the Serenissima for two nights, and it was not enough! Angie (Agiliki) in the front desk checked us in and was extremely helpful. She showed us the room and amenities, and also helped us to decide which beach excursion we should go to (highly recommend the drive to Falassarna!) Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and smiling, and the beds and robes were so comfortable. Additionally, the breakfast was incredible and beautiful in the courtyard. Prices are extremely fair for such a great boutique hotel right in an amazing location in old town Chania. I highly recommend for anyone visiting Crete!!

We stayed at The Serenissima a few weeks ago and had the most amazing stay. Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. They made amazing restaurant recommendations and helped us arrange transportation. The breakfast is also amazing. If you’re going to Chania, you must stay at The Serenissima!

We had such a great stay at Serenissima. We were there for four days and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Two days in a row, staff got up a bit early so we could have breakfast before our excursion since we had to leave before the dining room officially opened. They made reservations for us, helped me locate a lost item, and followed up with our travel agency in Athens when they forgot to send us an important detail. The hotel is also one of the cleanest places I’ve ever been. It is SPOTLESS. They are constantly cleaning and you can see how much pride is taken in how the hotel is kept. We loved being in the old town and there was nothing better at the end of a long and fun day than getting into one of the most comfortable beds I’ve been in. Definitely will stay again!

Serenissima Hotel was absolutely stunning and amazing. The architecture was breath taking, the cuisine stellar, and the hospitality was beyond what we expected. We visited the hotel in late June and the entire trip was one I will forever cherish. We both fell in love with Crete and Greece overall. The people were the best part of the trip. The hotel helped me immensely with my surprise proposal for my now fiancĂ©e and Serenissima will always have a special place in our hearts. The hotel staff recommended our photographer; who did the best photography work I’ve ever had done. The hotel set up the room with a bottle of wine upon our return from the engagement and recommended the best restaurants, the list goes on. Upon discussing our wedding honeymoon for next year, we both agreed another visit to Crete, to stay at the Serenissima is what we both want. Not only because of beautiful Chania, but also because of the wonderful people that work at this hotel. We loved it so much! Thank you to the hotel and staff you all are amazing!

We stayed four nights. The accommodations and location are ideal. Very clean and updated. The staff is friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was a treat each morning. The coffee, the yogurt, the scrambled eggs with feta and tomatoes....I miss you all. My only complaint, which isn’t really a complaint, is the absence of a balcony. If I ever go back to Crete, I will stay again.

Amazing hotel in a great location. Great a la carte breakfast where we tried most items over a few mornings. Nice private courtyard to hide from the crowds. A pillow menu if the provided pillows are not soft or hard enough. One of the best mattresses we have ever slept on.

Stayed several nights here. Beautiful little boutique hotel with extra care taken during COVID-19 times. Appreciate that! Nice room, strong air conditioning, super clean, huge bathtub/shower, very nice breakfast, friendly staff and perfect location. Highly recommend!

We recently stayed our Serenissima during the tail end of our honeymoon trip in Greece. We were greeted by hotel staff to assist us in getting the luggage into the hotel, which is not located on a vehicle accessible road during the day. The hotel is deep in the old town and steps away from the harbor and numerous restaurants. There are less than 10 rooms in the hotel. Each room is wonderfully decorated/designed and intended to represent the original building the hotel is situated in. We had free breakfast each day, which was delicious and enough to hold us over each day. The hotel manager, staff and room service were all wonderful. We received several recommendations from the night staff, who was extremely friendly. He even packed us a snack for our flight, which required us to check out at 4AM. The rooms are small but equipped with automatic blinds, due to the massive amount of sunlight. One of my few complaints is that our front door was not located in a hallway and we could hear plenty of outdoor noise. We would absolutely return and stay again to tour the beautiful and exciting Chania.
