Especially the night view is beautiful. It is very difficult to walk because it is too hot in the sunshine and it is good to watch it at night because the wind is blowing too much. It looks like a Venetian

THIEVES! BEWARE! In close proximity, standard Roma thieving tricks work well. Saw two groups of thieves work in two ways, a pair where one person would brush past you due to the small walkway and the other would go through your pockets or bag (this happened to me!). The other scam is where a well dressed woman holds a map over your bag and goes through it.

It’s definitely worth it to take the walk for the wonderful views along the way, both of the sea and the city. The walk is only 15 minutes long, but it will of course take longer because you’ll stop for pictures many times. It’s also kid friendly. I’d recommend walking on the wall itself if you’re visiting during the hot hours of the day, as the sea breeze will make it easier to endure the heat 😀

Beautiful view of the city. Definitely worth checking out after dark. All the city lights sparkle the sky in a wonderful way.

You might as well check it out when coming for a walk around the old town. Good view of the town when you are on the opposite side.

Pretty view of the harbor & Chania with the snowy mountains in the background. Best reached by agile walkers.

Beautiful lookout. I recommend to walk down here in the evening. Also a great place to take pictures.

🫤 The old archeological museum had more character. This one looks sterile with gray drywalls. The collection is not so rich, if you compare it with museums like Acropolis museum. The 6€ admittance is a little bit too much for such a museum, it would me more fair to pay around 2€. Unfortunately you wil...
