This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. You can’t describe how great the atmosphere is and the owner (the family) has their personal touch on the hotel. The rooms are so clean and smell fresh. We had a balcony while we stayed here and if I come back to Chania again I will pay a little more again for one of the balcony rooms. Sometimes the staff came up to our room with some deli like salted caramel cake and fresh orange juice. Delicious! We will come back again🤗✈️

This place is truly amazing. Hospitality at its best. The staff makes you feel like a family member, not a just another guest. They'll help with anything you can possibly think of. Every single recommendation made we were utterly impressed with. The breakfast, which is prepared by a wizard, is a MUST! You'll never have the same thing twice and always so delicious. Cooked with true passion. Other things to mention are the rooftop deck. Go up and relax overlooking the Venetian harbor with a glass of wine. When we come back, no question, we're staying here.

Fantastic boutique hotel right in the heart of Chania, walkable to everything. The owner was extremely helpful with recommendations and arranging accommodations, and was also available on whatsapp throughout our trip anytime we needed anything. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Chania.

Great experience. Right in the Old Town city centre in a beautiful small alleyway. Everything is in walkable distance. Great rooms. Very clean. Nicely renovated. If you like to sleep in, the church bells might be a hinderance but it was no problem for us. Overly - as others have said - the rooms are nicely insulated from the sound of the old city nightlife. Our host Idomeneas was very friendly and helpful in every way. I would definitly recommend this hotel for a stay in chania.

Excellent boutique hotel. The owner Idomeneas is exceptionally friendly and helpful. He spent about 30 min going through Chania, what to do in the area, and provided great recommendations. He was very available throughout our stay and accommodating. The room was spacious with comfortable mattress. One thing to note is that the rooftop is closed (permanently?). Additionally, parking in old city Chania is a disaster. This is unavoidable for any hotel you stay at in this area, and for this city in general. Basically you just find areas where the locals street park and hope for the best. After 5pm likely you will need to find a paid lot because everything will be full.

Excellent boutique hotel in the historical centre. The room and bathroom were very comfortable and perfectly clean. Nice extra touches like free bottles of water every day and coffee machine in the room. As has been pointed out, the legendary breakfasts from Socrates are no longer part of the hotel service, but the Cretan-style breakfast at a nearby cafe is tasty and filling. A point about noise: Almost everywhere in Chania Old Town is noisy at night, but for a hotel the sound insulation at Hanim is good. If you want a truly quiet location it's best to search outside the city centre.... A real plus point is how friendly and helpful the owner Idomeneas is. He frequently checked that we were happy at the hotel, gave us very useful tips for restaurants and beaches and was more than happy to answer any questions we had about Chania and Crete in general. This warm welcome makes a huge difference. Unlike some other reviewers, we have no experience of the hotel prior to the renovation, but our stay was extremely positive and we would recommend Hanim to anyone.

5 star place! The central location in the old town allowed us to easily get to the main sights. Our room was not only spacious but also extremely comfortable. The owner, Idomeneas, proved to be extremely friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The free water provided daily was a nice touch that we appreciated. Parking is a little tricky! First come, first served. However, there is suitable parking just a 5 minute walk away ( some for a fee, some for free). We can recommend to stay at Idomeneas hotel! Breakfast where in a restaurant (Typografeion) 2 min to walk.

A small family operation that made our trip to Chania truly magical. The attention to detail and hospitality was impeccable. We felt like longtime friends after just a few hours there. Socrates, their chef, made an exquisite 4 course breakfast for us and explained each dish. Such a very special experience and centrally located. Highly recommend. We can’t wait to return. The second year that we return to Hanim. This place is a piece of heaven, very autenthic cretan hotel with a micelin star worth breakfast by Socrates. The place is very close to everything, the rooms are super spacious and the bed is perfect for seret dreams.

Excellent place to stay.. we stayed more than 3 times over the last few years and it just gets better! friendly staff; they all make you feel like home and are ready to help you with everything; clean rooms; right in the centre of the old town and a breakfast you cannot forget! See you guys again!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for about 4 days and we felt right at home. The room (we stayed in 'Salvia') was very clean, and had everything we needed. Apart from the room, what stood out most to me was how genuine that staff were. The staff at Hanim Lounge go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and satisfied. You could really tell how much they care about their guests. They gave us great tips about where to go, what to do, and where to eat (especially places that don't serve frozen seafood). If you're unsure what to eat for breakfast, JUST EAT THERE! Socrates is a culinary genius who whips up simple, yet creative organic dishes. Starting off with his breakfast courses really puts you in a great mood. I would love to stay here again should we ever return to Chania. The rooms, service, and location are top notch.

This was by far the best place we stayed in all of Greece! "Hanim is people" is their motto and its 1000% true. They treated my wife and I like family from the moment we arrived. Socrates (the great) makes breakfast every day and it's always something new and exciting to eat, and the food and quality is incredible! I can't say enough great things about our time at Hanim other than... Thank you, thank you and thank you!

The room and bed were large and comfortable. The breakfast is not a breakfast but an actual brunch with the menu changing everyday and including a 4-course meal with local ingredients. The host family is extra-friendly and very careful in these covid days. They really make you feel welcomed and it's so rare these days. Just be careful if you come by car that you'll have to park in the streets around as the hotel is in a pedestrian alley.

One of my favorite places I've ever stayed! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the location is great, but what really made my stay was the hospitality. Rena gave the best recommendations for tours and food. And was always available to chat, which as a solo traveler is so important. She made it feel like I was staying at a friend's house instead of a hotel. Socrates made the best breakfasts I've ever had! It is a four-course meal. The ingredients are fresh and local and preparation is with such care, innovation, and appreciation. I highly recommend Hanim Lounge and Suites!
