We had a wonderful experience going to Balos beach. We arrived early to meet the captain and his boat, we were able to arrive at Balos before the big crowds, we then went to surrounding private areas to go snorkeling. There was plenty of water, juice drinks, and beer for the 4 hour excursion. It was a fantastic voyage and highly recommended.

We had a trip of our lifetime together with the Balos and Sortiris of Seaze the Day! They took special care to accommodate my mother who was 83, making sure we were in protected waters and had ample shade. They provisioned ample and delicious sandwiches, salads and drinks for the day out on the water. Taking us from spot to spot, to either snorkel, fish, or swim even in a cave, showing us all the beauty that Crete has to offer, they were patient, kind and accommodating. None of us had spearfished before and we chose to learn and watch from these experienced lifetime fisherman. It was amazing to watch the depths and their ability to find fish. We walked away with a bag full of fish that was prepared by our local restaurant. A day or family will never forget.

Oh my gosh, our boat day with Stelios was absolutely magical. Seaze the day was kind enough to upgrade our boat size due to the weather and I appreciate their concern for our safety. The hour long drive out to Gramvousa was certainly rocky, but we trusted Stelios and it paid off! We had Gramvousa entirely to ourselves, it was insanely magical! Balos was also amazing and it was great getting to know Stelios. He is a wonderful captain, whoever hired him made a great choice. This private boat tour was pricey, but worth every penny! We booked a private boat trip to Balos and our expectations were exceeded! It was a great experience! Giannis, the captain, made everyone feel very comfortable and created a nice atmosphere with music, drinks and snacks. We enjoyed Balos away from the crowds and were also shown amazing spots along the way. Definitely a recommendation!

I booked a private sunset boat for my boyfriend and I to celebrate his birthday. To say we enjoyed it is an understatement. This was by far THE best experience of our trip!The team was super helpful from the start — answering a ton of questions I had about Crete and the boat. The boat itself was beautiful, and the captain amazing — he even had some historical knowledge about Crete which we appreciated. They provided wine and snacks for the boat which was amazing. Could not recommend this more!!

Our boat trip was extremely fun and totally worth every second! Andriane got us set up quick and easy. We went to multiple beaches unaccessible by foot or car. Our captain was amazing and perfectly navigated some choppy waves. Food and drinks were included. I highly recommend doing a boat trip with them!

We had such a great experience booking a private boat tour for our family to Balos beach and Gramvoussa Fortress! They were flexible with rescheduling our original booking due to rainy weather (May is unpredictable) and we were able to go today and it was a beautiful sunny day!! Amazing day of spearfishing with Panos! We had never gone spearfishing before, but they explained everything to us so perfectly and they helped us to eventually catch our first fish with a speargun. We finished the day with taking our catch to a local restaurant for lunch. Overall it was a really great experience that I would highly recommend if you’re at all interested in fishing. What an amazing experience we had with Seaze the Day boat hire. We were fortunate enough to have the most amazing captain Markos who took us to Balos and many private beaches and really made the experience a once in a lifetime day for us. My husband and I splurged on a 4 hour private chartered boat to Balos and Gramvousa Island with Stelios and it was beyond AMAZING! Stelios was the perfect captain- very easy going and did all of the thinking for us so we could simply take everything in. We loved hearing about his life here in Greece. He also took us to what was literally a beach for two and it was the best way to end our time. Thank you for the memories and experience!

We enjoyed the 5 hour trip to Balos and Gramvousa from Kissamos and our captain Giannis was friendly, kind and made our trip fun. He shared knowledge about the island and his recommendations. I can't say enough good things about this trip. We booked a private 4 hour trip of the caves / beaches in the boat with a small cabin for my family of 4. Communication and booking was easy, the captain and assistant were fantastic, and we loved seeing Crete from the sea. We had planned to start from Chania harbor, but the captain recommended changing it because of the wind. They arranged a taxi to take us to and from the new port, which was included in the price. The end of March is still chilly for swimming (three of us jumped in anyway) but being on the water was still wonderful and relaxing.

Highly recommended. We rented a private boat from Kissamos for half a day with skipper for 380 Euro, including gas, skipper, drinks, snacks and snorkel gear. It was well worth it, arriving at Gramvousa island before the tourist ferries. I was able to snorkel in peace without anyone else there. We pretty much followed our skipper's recommendations but you are able to split your time between Gramvousa and Balos as you please. Babis made sure our ride was comfortable, as there are parts that can get a little choppy as you are out on open water. I do recommend hiring a skipper for the extra 70 Euros. Not only would I have no idea how to navigate, as the trip from Kissamos to Gramvousa/Balos is quite far (25 minutes or so) but we also got to ask Babis questions about life on Crete and in Greece. Communication is also great with the booking agent, they responded right away via email to our request sent through the website. Directions to the port were easy to follow via Google Maps. Overall an A+ experience.

Fantastic boat rental experience. We chartered a boat (RIB) from a very central location in Chania port and we spent the whole day swimming in some of the most amazing and secluded beaches in the region. I will definitely rent a boat again with Seaze The Day on my next trip!

Five of us did a 7 hour boat trip on the northern islands of Crete including Balos and had a fabulous time. Our captain Sotiri was super friendly and let us play our own tunes on the boat, allowed us to move islands whenever we requested and provided free water, beers, soft drinks and a delicious Turkey + salad baguette for lunch. Great service and I enjoyed hearing the stories from our captain, as well as learning more about the lifestyle of Cretans! One thing I would suggest is to confirm with them that the weather is favorable on the day of your intended tour to ensure you can visit the islands you intend to visit and have the best possible experience on the sea!

7 hour rental with Nikos as our Captain - what a beautiful day all around. The jog out to our first stop was a bit long (leaving from Chania) and it was early in the morning, so be sure to bring some layers for the ride out! Once you get to the first stop the water is the most beautiful color of green you’ve ever seen! We enjoyed hiking up to the top of the mountain to see old ruins from a castle taken over by pirates - Nikos was sure to fill us in on all of the cool history as we passed by such as the lighthouse, battle of Crete, sunken ships with treasures and so much more. Once we got to Balos we anchored down and relaxed for quite some time. Had beers and sandwiches, listened to music, and swam around. We watched people hiking hours up and down the mountain to get to the beach (private boat is the only way to go!). I could say so many more great things, but you get the point. Amazing day that made our honeymoon in Greece one for the books. Highly recommend, worth every penny. Thanks Nikos!!!

We rented a small boat for half a day. Stelios was there to meet us in the morning and showed us how to drive the boat and left an ice box for our drinks. Great service and all the recommended spots were great. Would definitely rent again. Thanks!
