My mother and her sisters as teenagers used to bring home water from this lake between 1943 and 1948. Channapatna was then part of Mysore Kingdom with Sri Jayachamaraja wodeyar as Maharaja.

Nice park built along the side of a lake . Good place for morning and evening walk and jog with seats. It Is easily noticeable from highway which also runs parallel to it It als has a beautiful view from the other side during sunrise and in early morning.
