A beautiful dam that's surrounded by lush greenery. You can ride around the reservoir and enjoy the views from many places. There are no restrooms/ restaurants right near the place, also the road is a little patchy. Overall a great place for some peace and quiet and capturing birds photos

Although not officially open to public, we can go there and ask for permission to enter and they will allow us to go inside and take photos. We can walk along the tank bund wall for a kilometre and see the other side. There isn't anything much to do other than enjoy the serene atmosphere and get some good photos.

Small & oldest dam constructed around 1946, not much interesting but atmosphere & nature is really quite & good. Filled with greenery. Cannot find much people hanging out here. Most of them are locals who are living here. Fisherman do fishing at early morning. There are few adventure camps & resort nearby to this dam. During my visit everything was empty.

The views are amazing. It's. Restricted for public but there are few openings in the fence through which you can go upto see some good views. There is a part where the water from the reservoir flows over the road. It's a good experience to drive through that

It's a Beautiful Reservoir Located very close to Bengaluru. Built & Designed by Sir.M.Visveshvaraya the Reservoir was constructed in 1940. It still stands strong and beautiful catering to the needs of all the surrounding areas.

Quite and peaceful place surrounded by lush green backgrounds. It’s a small dam road to the place is narrow. Definitely a good place for a evening walk out for sunrise or set

Good view of the reservoir.. and a good place for one day outing .. visit during evening times for good experience.

Very small reservoir located in Kanva village, Ramanagara. Surrounded by beautiful nature. Everyone can experience fresh environment free from pollution. Keep clean and maintain hygien during every visit.

Don't come here. During my visit, the main gate was closed so I tried entering through the entrance at the back. I waded through a small stream of water only to see that was closed too. There isn't much to see anyway so a trip solely to see this would be a waste of time. In the photo is the stream through which we went- the flow was pretty strong and the rocks were slippery (and painful to step on!)

Good place to watch the sunset. The roads are narrow but well laid out. Nothing much to do other than see it, not a lot of place to sit and chill. Be careful of the caretaker who may not like you entering the dam area!

Place is good but waterflow is too less Better visit only on sunset in the evening to see good views Because main gates are closed waste time going in the afternoons or other times Asia’s second reservoir which has automatic syphon gates If you want to witness the best view visit on monsoon

Dam is located in a very scenic location, but not for tourism. No basic amenities available near this location.
