Peaceful and blissful. Even though the temple is small, it is better to spend more time inside the temple. Sit and relax. We went in the evening, less crowded so we enjoyed the peace. Better avoid crowded occasions like special days and all. Channapatna is the town of toys. Don't buy near the temple there are you shops as soon as we enter the town check the toy price in different shops and buy. Good place within 2 hours range from Bangalore

Aprameya Swamy (Ramaprameya) is form of Lord Vishnu is made of Saligrama stone. The Lord stands erect with the Shanku & Chakra in the upper two hands and Padma & Gadha in the lower hands. Other prominent idol in the temple is of Ambegallu Navneetha Krishna (The crawling baby Krishna with a ball of butter in hand). It is believed that childless couples are blessed with a progeny, if they worship this diety with sincerity. The Dravidian style temple is built by Chola King Rajendra Simha in 11th Century. Open from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm; 4.00 pm to 8.20 pm ( Sundays open upto 01.30 pm). Lunch Prasadam is served at 12 noon on Saturdays and Sundays in the temple complex It is located on the bangalore-mysore highway near Channapatna town.

Aprameya temple in Chennapatna is a must visit en route Mysore. It's bang on the highway and you can spot the Gopuram from the road. To make it easier for foodies, it's about 15 mins from Kamat Lokaruchi when going from Bangalore. The highlight of this temple is the baby crawling Krishna that's not common to most temples. The temple is well maintained, the premises are peaceful and don't miss the Hanuman temple adjacent to it. And definitely don't miss the toy shops outside the temple.

A must visit place on the way to Mysore. It is just 50mts away from Mysore Highway. This temple is 1600 years old. People believes that if we pray here who doesn't have children then you come back here with children. I visited during weekday and no crowd at all. Temple maintained well and should not miss the prasadam. Ample space available for 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler parking.(free parking) There are some shops having channapatna toys but bit costly and less collections. Better to buys in Chennapatana town itself.

The Aprameya Swamy temple was built by Chola Emperor Rajendra Simha around the eleventh century. The architecture of the temple is magnificent and worth a visit. It is built in Dravidian style; the temple is facing east with five tiered Raja Gopura which is decorated with the Dashavatara. The main deity is Aprameya (Sri Krishna). Also in the sanctum are Goddess Lakshmi and Ambegalu (crawling) Krishna. It's 60 km from Bangalore and approximately 80 km from Mysore on NH 275 (OLD Road), however can be reached through Bengaluru Mysuru Expressway after taking a Uturn at Channapatna.

temple is the idol of the Crawling Krishna called as the Ambegal Krishna . Its mesmerizing eyes and with butter in the hands elicit the maternal sentiment in you. This temple is also called as the Navneeta Temple. It is said that huge offerings of silver cradles are done by the childless devotees after getting blessed with a child by the grace and blessings of Lord Krishna.During celebrations a small replica of the main idol is taken on a chariot and there are processions that take place. Thus with such glorious history and extraordinary architecture is a certain monument to visit. Sri Aprameya swamy Temple is a very ancient structure. Some historians date it back 3000 years, but local historic documents date it not less than 1500 years. There is evidence that this temple existed even before Lord Ramanuja’ s Digvijayam in Karnataka and it will not be a surprise if it was built much before Lord Ramanuja’ s Birth. There is a written document preserved to date, which mentions the Kainkaryam of lighting Nanda Deepam to Lord Aprameya in the year 980. This is a proof of the temple's existence in that period. Legend has it that Lord Rama stayed here, in Dakshina Ayodhya, for many years and during this time, he worshipped Lord Aprameya. Hence Lord Aprameya is also known as Sriramaprameya. Lord Rama also performed Homams and other rituals in this place and even to this day, there are remnants of the structures where he conducted the Yagnams. In kshetram Mahatmiyam Kandam of Brahmanda Purana there is a description of Lord Aprameya in twelve chapters. The specialty of the temple is it is standing on sand and not on any solid foundation. It appears from the style of construction of the temple, that it was expanded during the regimes of certain kings who ruled Mallur in the past. Standing outside the temple, one can see the towering and beautiful Raja Gopuram. Built in the Dravidian architectural style, one finds sculptures from the Dasa Avataram adorning the side walls (Madal) of the Raja Gopuram. The Maha Dwaram is 30 feet high. Opposite the Maha Dwaram is the tall Deepa Sthambam made from a single stone, which vies with the Maha Dwaram in height, at 30 feet. During Bramhotsavam days pilgrims are provided breakfast, lunch and dinner FREE of charge.

A very beautiful ancient temple near channapatna, worshipping lord Krishna in the form of baby. The main shrine is of lord channakeshava. There are few shrines for goddess mahalakshmi and Lord vishnu with his family. One of the main shrine is lord Krishna's in the form of a baby crawling with butter in his hand. People worship here seeking blessings for children. Temple is cool and silent. No words to describe the beauty of rajagopura. Temple carvings are very beautiful. There is also a hanuman temple next to this temple, dont miss it. You can buy wooden toys from near by shops. Temple timings is from 8-1pm and 4-8.30pm. There is very good parking space also, and charge 10rs for it.

The speciality of this temple is that you can find an idol of a crawling baby Krishna here. Did you also know that this idol inspired the writer purandarasa to write a famous song “jagadodharana adisidalu yashodha” . They serve Prasadam on weekends and public holidays only. There is also a belief that barren women are blessed with children if they pray to this Krishna. A must visit place .

One of the 108 Divya deshams. Beautiful ancient temple. It houses Aprameya Swami, Aravindavalli and Navaneetha Krishnan. The Krishna has taken crawling position (the locals call it Ambegal ) . People pray here for child birth. This temple also has Sri Ramanujacharya, Koorathazhvar and Sri Lokamacharya. Plenty of parking space for cars. They collect Rs.10/- and there are few shops for buying Chanapatna wooden toys. A small eatery is also there. We are Heerekai Bajji which tasted yum. 😋 It takes 40 mins from Mysuru Expressway starting point. (Approx).

Along with Shri Aprameya Swami, we can see Bala Krishna with benne in hand, this is the rare idol. Devotees pray Bala Krishna for getting Childrens. 1.5 hrs journey from Bangalore

It was my unplanned location. This is near to Mysore express Highway. If you are coming from Bangalore, you can take the new bridge as there is exit at ChannaPatna to ready the temple. This temple has history since 1000 years. The architecture of this temple is a bit renovated but there are few ancient carvings which are present inside the temple. Inside it there is Ambekal Krishna temple which is very famous. Also you will find venkatesha bhudevi temple as well. Road to reach the temple is very well maintained. you will find vendors outside the temple selling goods.

Ancient temple complex situated in the quaint toy town of Channapatna. Moola vigraha is Lord Ram Aprameyaswamy. Apart from the main deity one can also find the lovely Balgopal (baby Krishna) dirty who will steal your heart in one gaze. Surrounding the sanctum santorum there is Maa Laxmi temple and temples of various prominent alwar saints. It's a must visit place if one happens to be in Channapatna town.

This is a very famous temple for ambegalu krishna. And the history says that saint kanakadasa visited this temple, and instantly wrote the “Jagadodharana aadisidalu yashode “. The temple seems built during very old days of Hoysala (I guess). The temple premises is very clean and neatly maintained. I fell in love with the entrance Bougainville flowers which has spread over which really adds beauty and I feel it is a welcome gesture for devotees. During normal days the temple offers Prasadam for its devotees during noon. And the decoration for the idols is really appreciable by the priests. Though the premises is very large in area, it is kept neat. Devotees can find peace and feel blessed after visiting the temple.

A really peaceful and calming place. One of the very few temples of baby Krishna (bal Gopal). Decent amount of parking for 10-12 cars and right next to the main road. The roads to the temple are excellent and the drive from Bangalore generally takes only 1.5-2hours.

About 1650 years old temple of Aprameya Swamy (Lord Vishnu). Idol of lord is beautiful. Temple also has Mahalaxmi Idol on one side of it and other side has the Bala Gopala. You can keep on seeing the gopala idol for hours, it looks like the baby god is mischievously seeing you. Calm and peaceful atmosphere, lots of positive energy.

It's a Hindu Temple located in Chennapatna dedicated to Lord Krishna, who is called Aprameya Swamy. The temple is located within 1 km from the New Express Way from Bangalore to Mysuru or vice versa. It's approximately 80 km from Mysuru. The temple also has shrines of Mahalakshmi, Ambegal Krishna, Vedanta Desikar, Sri Ramanuja, and others. Ambegal Krishna is equally important, Shrine and Lord Krishna is in the crawling posture and its divine. We met the President of the temple Mr Venugopal. The temple is managed excellently, and it's clean. Visiting Krishna temple is always we enjoy.
