I have visited Domaine Sula yesterday. Almost 1&1/2 hours drive from Bangalore. Its a calm and beautiful place. Good choice for a 1/2 day get away. This is off season for the grapes. So we couldn't enjoy the vine yard, but still they have guided tour and the guide explained the process of wine making and showed us the fermentation chambers, the wine barrels and the vine yard. The right season for cultivating grapes is December to March. After the tour they will have the wine tasting, we tasted almost 6 veriety of Sula wine. It was really good. After the wine tasting, we enjoyed food in the restaurant which is situated inside the Domain Sula. Food was delicious. We have opted for open area restaurant . They have a shop, where we can do purchase the wine as well. They are charging 500/- for the tour as well as for the wine tasting. The place is really beautiful, neat and calm.

Sula Domaine Vineyard is a good place to hangout with family and friends. Best place for any type of photo shoot. The explanation by the guide about the preparation of wine was a really interactive session. He explained about the usage of green grapes and black grapes for preparing wine. Then it was our chance to taste the wine. We tasted about 6 types of wine. This ended our wine tour. Next was the stop in the restaurant for lunch. Of course the place was a bit crowded when we went for lunch. We waited for some time to get our table. There, we ordered a bottle of wine, some pizza and few starters. All tasted yummy. Overall a great place to be on a weekend.

Had to wait two hours to get food and that was only because we had to pay a cover charge of 600 at the entrance. We weren't informed at the gate on what specifically the money could be redeemed. Definitely not worth the wait and visit. Inefficient management, full of chaos, flies everywhere and people just tired waiting for food. The management was more interested in people spending their cover charge on the tour which happened to cost 600 rs with wine tasting package. Not worth the travel and visit to the place. Food is just decent nothing great.

A great place spend a day of your weekend… Very easy to reach from Bangalore.. Will start from Parking… ample parking space without any fee. Entry fee is 400 Per Adult and the same amount can used in the vineyard for Shopping wine or having food or the tour n wine tasting combo.. Very nicely maintained place I loved it.. though it’s not the season. If you wanna see Grapes go between dec and mar that’s the season… 6 types of wine for tasting in 300 is good… Restaurant is very good and super clean…

We have been to this vineyard a couple of times, and never been disappointed. It's a great one day trip from Bangalore. The ambiance and services are great. Highly recommend the wine tour and tasting. The store is well stocked and the restaurant dishes out some amazing food. Must try

A good, one time, must visit place in a weekend day time when you are in Bangalore, especially if you have never seen a Brewery/Vineyard before. Situated 60-65km away from Bangalore in Bangalore Mysore state highway just after "Channapattana"(Toys Town), which is famous for wooden toys. So can touch both places in single travel. There is an entry fee of 400 per person, after entering inside you can convert this to a guided tour and wine tasting session by paying additional 100. The tour was interactive with short but accurate explanation about the making, selection, sorting, fermentation, barrelling Altogether a 150 m walk is needed. There was no grapevine in the yard, they must be bringing grapes from elsewhere. Then we entered the most interesting session "wine tasting" , six varities will be provided 15-20ml each, from Chardonnay to Shiraz. There is a restaurant open and closed areas , bit crowded, you have to wait some time for getting seat and for food. Costs above average, but every food we tasted were delicious. All stars for food. Near to the restaurant you can buy wines. There are scenic area everywhere that you could collect some good photographs.

Great place for wine tasting and spending some time with family. They have a nice cafe inside for waiting before the wine tasting session. The guides are well versed with the wine making process and show around the estate with great interest. Gaurang, our guide was quite passionate about wine making and was patient with us in answering our various questions. Overall a thumbs up.

A good green place. You can see process of making wine from grape harvesting to its final product. It costs 400rs at the entrance which is redeemable once you go inside. 200rs for the tour. 300rs for the wine taste (100rs you need to pay separate). Or any other food if you order in the restaurant inside. One can spent 45 min here easily. If having food then more than that. It you are a regular wine drinker then you should visit.

An excellent destination to spend your weekend day... easy to go to from Bangalore. Free parking is available. The entrance charge is 600 per adult, and the same amount may be spent at the vineyard for dining, wine purchases, or a tour and wine tasting...very well kept area. 6 varieties of wine to sample in 600 is good...Excellent and extremely clean restaurant...Food here was good... We really enjoyed a lot..

Not just wine you like but also few tasty cuisines, then you may like this place. They serve several varieties of wine but less varieties of veg starters. Good place to spend with family over good times. Peaceful place away from rush. Wine tour is also available along with wine tasting.

Overall good experience. Good place if one is looking to spent a day. Visited in January’2023. Entry fee is rs 400 per head, then there is registration fee of rs 600 per head, the entry fee coupon can be redeemed while registration. After registration they take for visit where they explain the making and storing of wine. After that there is wine tasting in which they give 5 types of wine to taste. Inside is Little Italy restaurant for lunch(not included in entry/registration fee).

Visited the place during the weekend. We had enquired about the place and we were informed that no prior bookings are required. The weekend entry charge is 600 while for the weekday its 400 per head. While reaching the place, we saw a lot of cars parked and were skeptical if it will be damn crowded, but that was not an issue. The entry fee of 600 is actually a cover charge which can be redeemed either at the restaurant or for the vineyard visit and wine tasting. We chose the vineyard visit and wine tasting. We were taken in to see the whole process of wine making and packaging and export. We were given a deep understanding of the whole process which was very informative. Then we went on to the wine tasting process. That was the best part of it. We were given 6 different wines one after another for tasting. That was so good, where we got to understand how to hold a wine glass, smell to get the notes, and then proper way of tasting. That was so worth it. We also had lunch from the restaurant, which was a but over priced. The biriyani was not properly cooked, and for 595rs it was not upto the mark. Then we had a pizza which was fine and the pasta was also not that good. We also have option to purchase wines and will have some offers. Overall its a nice way to spend a day with friends and family!!

We visited this place unplanned as we had come to an event near by. We randomly planned and visited this place. This has a 400rs full cover per person entry charge. We went in and they explained everything about the wine tasting tour and the factory visit and all that. As we were hungry we decided to order lunch first and do the rest later. The restaurant was beautiful and the menu curation was amazing. The food was oh so mouth watering. We went full over board an ordered almost everything on the menu. Everyone liked everything except for the biryani as everyone felt it's a little bland but the mutton and chicken was cooked soo tender and juicy. Loved our experience here and our steward gave the nicest service, unfortunately don't remember his name. This place is highly recommended.

Beautiful place to hangout with family and friends. You can have a vineyard tour and also taste 6 varieties of wine. The batches start from 11.30 am. There's also a restaurant with a nice ambience. The staff is very friendly. One of the staffs Sohail Rana was very helpful and offered great service.

It's a decent place to visit. Especially if you wish to getaway from the city and have some wine. We had booked a winery tour (without tasting since we had other plans after that). It was an extremely short tour and a major put off was the attitude of the tour guide (we didn't catch his name). His behavior and response to the questions of the visitors was a bit arrogant. We'd have appreciated a bit more patience and interest in what he was doing. If you're someone who's looking for a basic tour and info about how wine is made, you may choose to go. But if you're someone who's far more curious about learning, you must then be surely lucky to get a good guide and experience a good tour. Visiting from December to April may also be a good decision than other months (non harvest months for grapes). Restaurant: Little Italy serves here. I found more Indian-y options (like Tandoori flavors in pizzas) than Italian. And taste wise, the pastas are better than pizzas, we felt. Overall, a chill place to hang out, but get your own vehicle for comfort. Else it's going to be hard to locate and reach. Will I visit again? I'd want to 1. To test my luck with tour (in season) 2. To try out more stuff at the restaurant 3. To see the place in the evening lights

Beautiful place to spend time with your loved ones. They have the tour, wine tasting and grape stomping options if you are interested. If you opt for tour, you will get a detailed understanding of the process. You will also have a chance to get into fermentation and aging rooms.

Sula Domaine Vineyard is a great place to go on a picnic. The reach is easy now from Mysore/Bangalore through the new highway. You pay 600 rs as a cover charge which you can redeem it inside for any services. Everything is fantastic except for the services at the restaurant which is why I have given my 3 stars. They are extremely overpriced and they work at a snails pace which is quite irritating. The food is not worth for the money one pays too.

It was a nice day's outing from Bangalore. The tour and the food were nice. The wine tasting session was nice and fun. Danush who handled the tour for our group was nice and gave a lot of information about the wine. There are certain exclusive wines available in the shop as well. A must weekend visit for Bangaloreans

One time experience you should have and must have basic knowledge about wine… The place and the ambience comforts you in a good atmosphere. But the restaurants inside is quite expensive..!! The tour of wine factory and wine tasting room is a must try experience.. Good for family and friends to spend a quality time together..

A vineyard tucked away in the fields outside Channapatna is somewhat a pride of Karnataka in wine making, being the second largest grape producing region. A journey of about two hours from Bangalore is a nice getaway for a day with friends . I loved the stone seating with stone mantapa adorning bougainvillea creepers. The tour not so extensive nor the vineyard we get to see, but the tasting of wines for a fee was worth my time. The 40 acre winery has been maintained very well with its cute stores and dining. The food was amazing with Indian, Italian cuisines and the desserts especially tiramisu was the best I have had in a while. It’s definitely a great day out for girl friends to spend time with some pasta and wine.

Good enought for a day trip from Bangalore. Was a little underwhelming as it's a tiny vineyard and fermenting facility.. We absolutely loved the bechamel sauce pasta + red sparkling wine at their restaurant!

Great setup of Sula vineyard. Make a visit using personal transportation as there is no public transportation available to reach the venue. The entry is approximately Rs.600 per person. This can be used for either lunch or touring the facility along with wine tasting. Lunch served at the restaurant is really good and specially recommend to try out pizzas. There is a wineshop in the premise and a good store for gifts to friends and family. Regarding the tour of the facility, it takes approximately 30 minutes and if you are in luck, you may be able to see the bottling and packaging. The best time to visit this place is between March and June. Do try out the wine tasting of 6wines offered by Sula.
