Hello there, I've visited Goa around four times; this was my fifth trip. At Vagator, I stayed. During my search for possibilities, I stumbled across the Saudagar eatery. The setting is wonderful, and the lighting is excellent. Excellent service was provided. You must try the Punjabi and Andra thalis there. Not to forget Chef Arvind and Steward Nadeem. The cuisine was delicious, and the greatest thing is that there are endless refills. I've gone to a number of restaurants, but this one's food and service always astounded me.

Incredible Indian food. We tried both North and Southern Indian thali dishes. Service by Nadeem was very attentive. We came back for lunch three days in a row. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

Saudagar is a modest joint in Vagator that does simple and homely North and South Indian vegetarian food. The space while simple and non air-conditioned, is hygienic and beautifully done up with wall murals and paintings. Food and service wise, there is lots of scope to improve. We ordered 2 starters and 2 thalis upon entering the restaurant. One starter came quickly, the next starter came after 20 mins. One main course came after yet another 20 mins and the last thali came one hour after placing the order. The item which came last was an Andhra Thali, and the staff kept on bringing 2-3 items every few minutes so we couldn't even start eating as half the items had not been brought. I would understand if the food had to be prepared after placing the order but this is only a matter of assembling the thali with pre-cooked items. It can be done much more efficiently. The same guy standing behind the bar counter goes in his spare time to bring the orders from the kitchen to the table, hence there was a lot of delay. It is very uncomfortable to sit in a non-ac place and just wait in the heat. When the food came, it fresh, wholesome and light which I enjoyed. Don't miss the lassi! They do offer unlimited refills and serve you certain items on a banana leaf.

We dined here on Monday night , started off with a low appetite but the Banjara paneer tikka was so delicious that we went in for the main course: Bajra roti, corn palak, cashew masala, veg biryani . Finger lickingly delicious food, just the right mix of spices and flavors . Our waiter , Shubham, was friendly and his service was excellent. Proximity of this restaurant to JW is a big plus .Highly recommended restaurant for vegetarian.

Hands down one of the best if not the best Pure-Veg restaurant in and around Vagator. Almost every food here has an authentic taste to it and the service is incomparable, just top-notch! The seating is unique, very open and has some artistic impressions on the mud-textured walls. Coming to the food, we had Banjara Paneer Tikka and Afghani Malai soya chaap both of which were truly lip-smacking! For the main course, do try the Kaju masala, Paneer tikka sabzi (can't remember the exact name) and it's worth mentioning home-style ghee phulka(chapati). The menu contains limited items but not even a single item would disappoint you. The Jeera rice was simple but had a unique taste to it. Nadeem Bhai made our dinner even more memorable with his pleasant service. It's hard to believe this place exists in Goa and it's just a perfect spot for veggie lovers. Definitely look forward to visiting this hidden gem!
