Amazing waffle place ran by an amazing couple. Loved the waffles one of the best I have had. The place is cute with powerful food and amazing service as well. We visited there on our last day in Charleston and wished if we had more time to spend here. Definitely a must visit place and must try waffles. We tried two different sets of waffles and loved both, attached pictures was a whole waffle with white chocolate, Nutella and strawberry. Amazing flavors overall . Loved every bit of our experience here

This husband and wife owned place may be small but it has a lot of flavor. These treats are nothing less than amazing. I highly highly this place.

Can’t miss! Sweet Belgium was a last minute find, but was one of the best waffles I’ve ever had. I ordered the set of six glazed “mini” waffles in Vanilla Oreo, Raspberry (my favorite), and Dark Chocolate! I will definitely come back!

We went here every day we were in town!! It was so yummy, the waffles and coffee were delicious. We kept going back, and the owner was very personable and served us delicious food multiple days in a row 😊 cannot recommend enough, best waffles we ever had!

I didn't actually eat here, but the wife and friend did and truly loved it. Not a lot of table space, managed to get a seat. 30 seconds too late on taking the picture with the fruit waffle. The gentleman on the right made the waffles. He was great.

The most unexpected and delicious hole in the wall restaurant to date. We walked in and just the strong sweet aroma was enough to have us sold. We bought the 6 small glazed waffles and got 3 different flavors. We thought we should add toppings but just the glazed flavors was more than delicious. The waffles plain were out of this world. Best waffles we have ever had and we will definitely be coming back for more. A must see in Charleston.

This place was an amazing find. I happened to walk by and could smell the waffles, so I had to go in. I got a waffle with maple syrup covered in bacon crumbles. Before I left, I got some cinnamon-glazed waffles to go. The waffles are glazed like donuts. They are delicious! Audrey Marques (one of the owners) was super kind and friendly. Definitely recommend and definitely going back.

We happened to stumble into this gem while walking on King Street. These are not anything like the waffles you get at a hotel or from a waffle iron at home - they are so much better! You can choose from a variety of different sizes and toppings. My wife and I split a large and it was the perfect amount for us. The owner was very informative and personable too. It honestly might be the best desserts we've ever had. You need to just try one!

So far the most authentic Belgian waffles I've had in the US. The owner is very nice and the waffles are delicious. Walls maybe need to be repainted but is otherwise a nice atmosphere. Almost time I am downtown early in the morning I get a waffle and coffee.

A great place to stop and experience what a real Belgian Waffle should taste like! We start our day in Charleston with a stop here. Very close to the visitor center if you are on King St.

This place is amazing! The waffles are made from a yeast dough not just a batter. You really need to try them, I can not describe how good they are. So much better than what comes to mind when you think waffle. Also, Sergio is a great guy. Please do yourself a favor and get by here. My picture does not do it Justice as I have already eaten half of it.

Your order is made fresh so expect to wait a little bit for it to cook. This is a cute hole in the wall place with tasty waffles! I was expecting more of a liege waffle with the crunchy pearl sugar and more of a rigid structure, but this was just a really good fluffy delicious Belgian yeast-dough waffle. Still good! The Belgian coffee was surprisingly bitter for being made with ice cream but I’m not mad at it. Service was great despite the wait for the waffles to cook I could tell the worker was absolutely hustling and bustling to get everything done well.

‘Heaven’ - that’s what the guy said while leaving the store with the cross from the waffle. I annoy agree more! It was a very delicious crunchy and warm waffle. I met there the owner Sergio who is originally from Europe. Strongly recommend for tourists as well as locals 👌

Audrey was delightful and the waffles here are exceptional. Multiple flavors and lots of customization to make sure you get a unique and tasty treat, and coffee/shake options to compliment the menu. Highly recommended, and wishing you guys lots of luck!

If you haven't tried Sweet Belgium on King St your missing out. Although you have many choices for toppings,I chose strawberries and bananas w/ Nutella. The strawberries and bananas were very fresh and combined with the hot waffle it was a close your eyes and smile moment ....

So delicious and so fresh! Was looking for a sweet treat and this fit the bill. The dough is brought up front upon ordering and the waffles are made fresh right then. They are then decorated according to your order. We waited 20 or 30 minutes before digging in and they were amazing. The raspberry is perfection (we tried six flavors and this was by far both of our favorites!).

Legit, Fantastic, Sweet Belgium If I had a nickel for every time we anxiously tried a supposed authentic Belgium Waffle in the US … well, we could holiday again in Belgium … Charleston has a legit authentic Belgium Waffle Place! Sergio and Audrey have an amazing (and straight from their hometown in Belgium) recipe. We found this Gem just walking around King Street the aroma lured us in and we chatted the first day with Sergio, and the waffles were beyond what we hoped for. Our waffles were so good we went back there for breakfast Saturday, the next morning and had more waffles. We also met Audrey. We had fun conversations with both and the food is simply amazing. By the way, you might ask is it really that good that you went two days in a row? We say yes, but what is amazing is we were visiting, but on both days we ran into a man and his young boys. They too came two days in a row but they live walking distance … yes the waffles are that good. If you know real Belgium waffles you don’t need me to say anything more. If you are thinking, “Really I’ve had Belgium Waffles and its not a big deal …” then you need to stop in for a sample because these are the real deal and you will be amazed. There are enough toppings to last you a month … enjoy ….

Walking near Sweet Belgium, the incredible smell drew me in and the waffles did not disappoint. Sergio correctly recommended that the waffles did not need any additional butter. I got the large plain with only maple syrup and it was amazing. The service was great and Sergio was able to gladly tell me a little of his story (I asked) while we were there. There are lots of choices on King St. and I’m happy to report that Sweet Belgium is now one of my favorites. It’s a small footprint restaurant so just follow your nose for some delicious Belgian waffles. I highly recommend them for both the quality of the food and outstanding service.

Absolutely fantastic and I’ve never had a waffle anything like these before. 100% authentic Belgium waffles made by Belgiums. This place is tiny but the food is amazing, the coffee is great and the service is on point. Give it a try you won’t be sorry.

One of the best liege waffles I had! very classic and authentic liege waffles but the crisp and the inside were just on point👍🏼. I went with the plain and powdered sugar and the sweetness was balanced and just as perfect!
