Do not trust this organization or its staff - **especially with your child’s well being** - I can not emphasize this enough.- Our experience was over 5 months where they were repeatedly unhelpful, victim blaming, gave us horrible advice that caused extremely negative consequences, zero follow through from staff or therapists, & unbelievably incredibly unprofessional. Pretty sure they are guilty of Medicaid fraud as well. I’ve left like 2 negative reviews in my entire life and thought about this for two months before I decided I needed to write & post this warning/review. If you need services please try All Souls Counseling, MAHEC, WNCHS, 211, October Road, RHA… ANYONE else before this organization.

Avoid avoid avoid!!! The worst place in Buncombe County for treatment or help. The state should really shut down this place. And please dont write a dumb comment of a number to call your direct line, that wont happen plus you don't even list a name or who you are, just shows how unprofessional this place is.

I went there after inpatient treatment for follow up on my anxiety and ptsd, and for some therapy. The front desk was awful. The staff made it very clear they didn't want to be there or tend to us in the waiting room and shouted something along the lines of now my day is full. So my anxiety and guilt got the better of me and I just left. Us with mental issues need to feel safe going in there not judged by staff. I was disappointed because I really wanted to believe in the faith if mental health but it keeps getting worse from my perspective This is why we are the way we are. We want help and when we try to go find it,this happens. Whats sad is I've been going here on and off for years I wonder what happened.

Having a terrible experience at a certain location. The counselor personally attacked me verbally in front of the group for reporting that he and the rest of my group were allowed to vap during our sessions which triggered me as a smoker. I am also a forty-six year old United States Veteran who doesn't need to be talked to like a child.

I am surprised at the bad reviews. I have gotten so much help from Family Preservation and haven't had to pay for a psychiatrist since I moved here because of their excellent program. My current psychiatrist (Ryan) is so caring and has worked patiently with my extreme insomnia to find a solution. How could people be so mad about what is usually a free service? I have also had some amazing counseling here that has helped me with my writing a book on overcoming negative self talk. I am so grateful for all the help they have given me!

To preface I have visual hallucinations almost everyday, I experience delusions, mania, depression, voices in my head, and pretty severe and often catatonia… Terrible just so terrible, was part of the their psychosis grant program, and they wouldn’t treat me anymore because of my PTSD. I want to know what people experience psychosis and doesn’t have PTSD ?? They also believed and CONTINUOUSLY imposed on me that I had borderline personality disorder instead of the schizoaffective bipolar diagnosis I have received from doctors who spent year with me. Their belief of boderline came after only AN HOUR of counseling. Which if you know any basic psychology is COMPLETELY unethical to suggest to a client. That was so stressful for me to be suggested that I had a personality disorder. You don’t just suggest stressful diagnosis to people with NO BASIS. So so so unethical. So they kick me out of the program, that they told me was going to be perfect for me initially( I was so hopeful for help). They say we still offer support and they are going to suggest me to doctors that will suit my needs better. They said me to a doctor who on the second session says he does not have the facilities to help someone with my problems. NOW WHY WPULD THEY RECOMMEND ME TO HIM. I truly think no thought went into who they would send me to. They just look on psychology to day and send me off. Now I’m still experiencing psychosis with no help, so I reach out to FPS again out of desperation. They say they are going to set me up with a clinician in their services. And then they just never get back to me. When I reached out I was in a desperate state of symptoms everyday. I communicated this to them. It’s been weeks now. No help , no response. DONT GO HERE.

Was having my son get help with a care plan through them, and the caseworker he had was a no call no show twice and late twice. I have called and reached out to this case worker over a month ago and still no word. I plan to speak to a supervisor because this is the worst help I have ever received. Free or not.

This place is an absolute joke and run by idiots. Go somewhere else. The state needs to shut down this place.
