Great place, great service, and really good Sunday roast. We ordered Lamb roast, kids' fish and chips, and a plate of tortellini. Pint of casket Alle (Trooper), Pink Gin, and an Appletizer that went down a treat with the lunch. Reasonably priced for a great portion. Highly recommended. Will surely visit again

Nice location, good for a pint. Horrible food. Ordered the queen's "special" cod. Half a spoonful of peas, oily cod, ridiculous portions. Avoid

The fish and chips were awesome! Service was good and the pints were great! Small, cozy pub with some bar seating. Even the tartar sauce was good!

Have got rid of most of their gins which was my favourite part! Asked for 4 different gins which they used to pair the most fitting tonics and garnishes etc but didn't get this. When previously eating there the for was superb! one of my go to pubs in Windsor

Came here for a weekend lunch of fish and chips. The meal was lovely, great crispy fish and perfectly cut chips. Service was very good and location is right in the middle of Windsor high street.

I am so happy I stopped by here! I’m visiting from Texas and needed a place to relax before heading back to my hotel. The bartender Chloe (hopefully I spelt that correctly) was amazing. She was very friendly and fun to talk with. Made me feel right at home. Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon!

After reading all the good reviews on here, I was surprised that it was the same pub. Having booked for 1200, it was obvious that they weren’t ready for us. It took 15 minutes before they came over to get a drinks order. And the waiter/barman was lovely, but looked like he’d just come come off a building site. Very scruffy. No real ale which was disappointing. There was no toilet paper in 2 out of the 3 ladies. The roast lamb was £19 but the lamb was thin and dry, and not what should be expected at that price. The fact that we were one of only two tables the whole time we were there speaks volumes. As someone that rarely reviews on here, I’m disappointed that I felt a reason too.

This place was such a great experience. Chose it by chance but we had no regrets at all! The staff is very kind and the food is very delicious! Big portions and very tasty. Is you are hungry or just stopping for fries and beer - this is the place.

Very quant restaurant near Windsor castle on small side market street off the hectic tourist area. Perfectly fried Fish & Chips was fantastic. Good selection of pulled local cask draft beer to compliment the fried fish.

By far the best fish and chips I've ever had in the UK. Kids menu was also amazing. We were there on a Sunday and we ordered roast lamb from the children menu for our son and it was just great and tasty. Staff were lovely. I don't normally write a review but I feel like I should write this review because I really like to recommend this place.

If you can't make food, don't serve it. We ordered the burger, the cod and fish and chips. Both fish dishes were exactly the same, the burger was like plastic and chips were tasteless. Clearly understaffed and 7.5 pounds for a pint wasn't worth it. Fix your business.

I was in town last minute today with the dog and popped in for my lunch. Both staff were lovely and welcoming, made a fuss of my dog with strokes and a treat and were genuinely interested in chatting. The food was lovely, no complaints at all, great value for money.

We found this pub by chance and are so happy we entered for lunch. The food is very good, the servers were very friendly and the beer is nice. Impressive food to be honest. We'll be sure to visit again the next time we're in London.

For a start, the menu says “homemade tartar sauce” but they brought out packets of tartar sauce. The fondant was not a fondant but a round brownie with some chocolate looking soft substance shoved in the middle. There was no strawberry with it either, even though the menu said it would be included. The vegan burger was burnt and we had to ask for another. We had to ask for any condiments instead of them being given to us along with the food. With the prices they charge for the food, you would expect table service but we had to order everything from the bar. It had the atmosphere and service of a Wetherspoons but they still had the nerve to charge a £36 service charge. To make things even worse, this place only has two high chairs. We were using both of them when another family came in so they were out of luck. For tourists who might not know or expect better, this place is probably just fine. I guess my standards are just a little bit higher. I shan’t be visiting this place again.

My favourite pub to visit in Windsor! Always a great atmosphere, lovely staff and delicious food! (I recommend the superfood salad and the Sunday roast, 10/10)

Great location near the castle, and very good food & drink. Had the baby ribs, which were cooked perfectly with excellent chips. Others food also looked good. Don't often comment on drinks but the cider was crisp and ice cold - ideal.

Super friendly staff, great choice of beer and when it comes to the gin selection, wow! Amazing. Food was really good too. If you go to Windsor, definitely worth a visit!

Felt a bit let down after my visit here on the 4th July 2021. First impression wasn’t great, as we were seated at a table, which hadn’t been cleaned. We then had to try and grab the staff’s attention multiple times throughout our sitting, for example when they forgot to provide cutlery, or ask us how the food was, or if we would like any more drinks. The food itself - we ordered 2 pie of the days which were chicken, mushroom and tarragon. Looked fine, but the filling in the pie smelled and tasted like gone-off milk/cream. The food was returned, and we were not offered any apology, just an alternative pie of the day, which was steak. This felt strange, as the steak pie then came out about 20 minutes later, which made us feel as though we had perhaps been offered yesterday’s pie of the day with the chicken and mushroom!! Steak pie was okay, nothing special considering the price, and the mash and greens were just that. Simple and bland. Disappointing and a real shame, as I did have my hopes up looking at other reviews!

Visited for a late Sunday lunch with family. Lovely place, decor, seating, range of drinks, staff ... even view from the loo was great. Roast chicken was the big hit! Proper Job!

Beautiful pub and the staff is very friendly. The food wasn't so special, arrived already cold at our table and it wasn't tasty. Wine and gin tonic were good! I'll return gladly to have a beer or a drink.

Stopped by on a Sun night as me and a colleague were staying in a hotel across the road and wished to see some of the local pubs. My colleague and I had the great pleasure of meeting the lovely landlady- excellent pub and well worth a visit.

Lovely pub in the Castle quarter known for their house Guildhall Island Gin and good food. After visiting the castle it was a few minutes away and perfect to have a G&T (Gin & Tonic) in the afternoon with their house made gins.

Stumbled upon this gem after visiting the Windsor castle. Was super amazed. Friendly staff and great food! The goat cheese tart was amazing. Fish and chips and the Sunday brunch was also perfect. Would highly recommend!

Traditional pub exterior revamped comfortable interior. Friendly bar staff and good selection of craft beers. Pie of the day was really tasty. Would visit again.

We were starving so ate them all but Beef Burger and Chips were terrible. Even ketchup and musterd didn’t manage to make the burger taste better.

Nice place - friendly staff, good food and pretty reasonable prices given the very touristy location. We had the fish and chips - fridge-cold mushy peas with the texture of wasabi were an odd twist but they grew on me by the end, and otherwise it was a very decent dish.

That was the best pork belly I had in a while! Staff was really friendly and helpful. We managed to change our newborn, despite that there isn't any baby changing facility. Thank you!

Tapas was really good and fresh. But the choice of mains was tiny and my sausage and mash was hotter than the sun with low quality sausage and granule gravy. Didn't match the price.

Good range of beers and wine, huge selection of Gins, including their own Gin. Ample seating indoor and outside, very clean toilets.

Popped in for lunchtime drinks while walking dogs around Windsor. Lovely dog friendly Pub, with a very good pint of Guinness. Staff were generous towards the dogs.
