My favourite pub in Reading! I’m not British but I love a good choice of ales and ciders, and I’m priding myself as being a bit of a nerd when it comes to it. The bartender didn’t disappoint, he made me try different types of cider and helped me choose one that I absolutely loved. That’s exactly what makes a good pub for me, so can’t recommend enough.

Great place! Awesome vibe and beer selection. I would suggest having larger umbrellas for the outdoor tables as when it rains the seats, tables and punters get soaked. Other than that would certainly be returning

This place hits the sweet spot of combining a traditional pub and craft beer destination. Excellent tap lineup. Board games. Darts. Sports on the tele. Nice bar staff. Great beer garden. Highly recommended for both the craft on offer and the vibe in general. My favorite pub in Reading.

What an amazing boozer. Incredible selection of craft beers and craft cask ales. They must have easily 12 cask pumps and about 6 keg lines. It got packed very soon and understandably so. I wish I lived in Reading so I could visit it often!

Loved it here. Very covid safe. No drinking in the premises but the garden has been transformed and nearly 100 could get in there safely. Please see photos.

This is what happens when a neighbourhood pub and a modern taproom have a love child. These folks do their beer up right. Proper brews from proper breweries served in a proper pub. Certified craft beer pub that doesn't feel the need to take your arm and leg for pint (unlike the Bdog down the road). Well done Nag.

This is our local for a reason. Extensive range of beers which change regularly. A small but excellent quality range of food is offered. The inside is your traditional pub interior, the beer garden is spacious and a pleasure to be in.

This is a really special pub with an outstanding range of real ales, ciders and Perry's. I often get dragged in here by a friend who likes the range of beers which change regularly. They do not sell tea here (unless it's the real ale called tea, which they do sell occasionally) as the non drinking driver I had to opt for a lime and soda. This is a pub for connoisseurs of real beverages and it has a great real pub atmosphere.

What an amazing pub. Massive selection of cask and craft beers, as well as a great choice of bottles. Popped in with the intention of just having 1 and ended up staying most of the afternoon. They were doing a BBQ and the burgers were great. Will definitely be back.

Wow! This was recommended to us by another pub when they were closed for a private function and what a recommendation. Absolutely amazing range of ales and craft beers, great staff, lovely sausage rolls, and a happy atmosphere. Looking forward to returning again soon.

Brilliant pub in the centre of Reading with at least 10 real ales on handpull. Lovely atmosphere in the pub and a great beer garden.

Great place to have a couple of pints with friends. We watched snooker/billiards on the screen while sipping some home brew. Place gets crowded pretty quickly on weekends, so plan an early visit to get a place to sit. Staff is warm and helpful.

This pub has the best range of ales and craft beer of any pub I've been in. Always a good selection running the colour spectrum from pale ales to pitch black stouts. The staff know their stuff and the locals are friendly. An absolute gem.

This place has a reputation that is fully deserved. To say it is a beer drinkers paradise is a huge understatement. Many different styles of beer, all clearly signed above the bar, and served by knowledgeable, efficient and friendly staff. A remarkable place. If you are in the vicinity( and by vicinity I mean Northern Europe) you MUST pay a visit. One of the great pubs.🍺👍

Excellent selection of beer, but it reeks of slops. Menu is minimal but the toastie acceptable. The fire is a nice touch. There's the possibility of sun in the garden.

Massive choice of beers, great knowledgeable staff. Sports on multiple screens. Beers very much niche rather than mass market, excellent range and value. Limited food offering toasties mainly. Darts board. Good garden full of smokers.

A great pub situated close to Reading West Station. An ever changing selection of cask ales, with 12 pumps. A great selection of kegs as well as a big variety of ciders. A friendly pub, with a great atmosphere.

Continues to offer the widest, and best, beer experience pretty much anywhere As ever a fantastic selection of cask beers and the smoked pulled pork roll is worth a visit on its own

I can highly recommend this venue. I love it. Good beer garden space outside, good seating, awnings, outdoor heaters, big screens to watch your favourite game, good service and clean toilets. Well done to owners and staff. Thanks for a great venue.

One of our most favourite places in Reading! Local pub very authentic style, casual with a Huge variety of beers! You can also find board games there to have game night with your friends, or play darts.

Always an amazing selection of beer and a friendly welcome. They've done a brilliant job with the outdoor space and show sports on large screens. The BBQ brisket/pulled pork and toasties are delicious and great value. A must visit in Reading!

Great town centre pub with a fantastic selection of cask and craft beers. Also really good for sports fans with several screens showing a variety of sports events of the day. Particularly popular for Reading FC fans. Lovely, welcoming staff. The best pub in the area.

Arguably Reading’s best pub. Always a fine/eclectic selection of beers on offer, and the food they’ve recently added to the menu is tasty. The atmosphere outside is always positive and the staff are friendly. If there is one minor criticism I could make, it’s that staff could be a little more alert to tables full of empty glasses to reduce waiting times.

One of the best pubs in Reading. Caters for beer bores and lager boys. Cosy inside and amazing beer garden externally. Friendly staff. The main thing is that the beer is excellent.

They have an excellent selection of beers ; some of their hoppy ales are quite nice. Has great outdoor and indoor seating especially if you want to watch a sports event. We were switching between EPL and the T20 cricket world Cup. The food options are more limited but were good quality.
