Really love the food however the service to order food is ridiculously bad. The food has to be ordered at the bar - which is always super crowded - and for every little request - condiments, drinks - the waiter / waitress has to be chased around the pub. Would be much easier if one waiter would be dedicated to one section instead of them sharing the whole establishment. Bringing back the QR code ordering system paired with a working wifi (cellular coverage inside the pub is compromised) would be beneficial. Won’t be coming back until they are fixing these issues because as a restaurant this place is a joke and as a pub it’s just average.

Booked this hotel as I was attending a wedding at Dulwich College. From the moment we entered until we left all I can say is the staff at this hotel are exceptional. I’m lucky as I had a room on the ground floor so didn’t have to navigate the stairs unlike my friend on the top floor. The rooms are a good size with plenty of refreshments. The shower has a detachable hose, which is a must. The bar menu has a great selection of foods for all dietary requirements. The breakfast menu is small and also has a good choices for all. Nothing is too much trouble for this team. They are able to recommend alcoholic drinks that you would like (Thank You Zane) and will make sure your needs are catered for. I will definitely stay here again

Came here for Mother’s Day lunch and had a nice meal. I’ve been here several times over the years but this was the first time I’d eaten there in a while. We all ordered the roast beef which was delicious. Food was good overall so no complaints. Service was ok - no disasters but they did seem a little disorganised. All in all we had a pleasant meal here and I’d probably return and order the same.

Nice friendly pub. Meals looked very nice. Made us wish we hadn't had lunch at a nearby Italian. Waited a few minutes to be served but very friendly overworked staff. Eight out of ten. Highly recommend.

This is a great bistro pub in the heart of Dulwich village. Good selection of dishes and drinks on the menu. Plenty of indoor and outdoor sitting. Clean and modern interior. Staff are very friendly and professional. Would recommend for Sunday lunch with family and friends.

Dined here for Sunday roast after hearing good reviews. Booked a table for 6 in advance. We were sat in table in the back of the restaurant next to a very large party of approx 20 people. It was exceptionally hot in there. We asked the waitress if it would be possible to be moved into another part of the restaurant, of which we could see numerous empty tables. However, we were told it was not possible but that we could ask the host if we really wanted. It seemed quite inappropriate to accept a booking for such a large group in such a small space with other guests there. It might have been more suitable for them to be in a function room. After being sat for about twenty minutes, still nobody had taken our drinks order. We caught the eye of the waitress, and when we asked if we could order some drinks, she told us that she thought we had already been seen to. Wines and drinks were brought out as ordered, but the current wine glasses on the table weren’t cleared until we specifically asked. We also asked for tap water which did not come out. In total, we had to ask three times before the tap water came out. When it did finally arrive, the waitress just put it on our table without saying anything or even smiling! The roast itself. It was okay, I had the beef, which I enjoyed. The potatoes were a cause for concern by all at the table. We all felt that they were unimpressive. Cooked but by no means crispy or flavoursome at all. Gravy and veg was nice. We asked to look at the desert menu. When the waitress brought us the desert menu, she just silently slid them onto our table. Again, no interaction or even smile. Very bizarre. Did not order desert as we were disheartened by main and service. I wonder if we just had a bad day on service and food. Either way, I don’t think we will hurry back.

Ordered the boar sausages very disappointed. Not enough mash and no cabbage or greens and to be honest could taste the boar sausages….nice place and nice staff but £18 for a small portion not good

We hosted a christening party in the function room upstairs in the Crown & Greyhound for our son. The function room was perfect for the event, it was clean and well decorated. We had great bar staff working the private bar within the room. The food was absolutely amazing, every single one of our guests complimented the food that was provided. Hayley, the events manager, was amazing with helping to get everything sorted prior to the day. We were also able to go the night before to decorate and leave the cake. The staff went above and beyond to help us make the day amazing and I can’t fault them or the venue. They even sorted the clean up after, which was greatly appreciated!

This pub was brilliant and very much worth the drive from north of the river. The location on Dulwich Village's quaint high st was superb. There was ample of parking on the nearby roads. Very nice historical pub added to the atmosphere but the place is big. I was impressed with the variety of choices on offer in the food menu, and further we really enjoyed our meals. Food was hot and super tasty. Definitely worth coming back.

Had a very good evening. Feels very different to how it's been here. We were welcomed warmly by Tina and served by her. She was very attentive and we had a good meal. Will certainly be returning again soon. Feels like we now have a really good local

Overall it was okay but the Sunday roast lacked some flavour. The gravy was nice enough, although the food got cold really quickly and it wasn’t piping hot when we got it. The atmosphere was nice on a Sunday afternoon and the staff are friendly.

SUCH A LOVELY PLACE!! If you like a classic pub and great outdoor serving, then this place is for you! I stayed one night for an event i London and booked this place, a charming 10 minute walk from North Dulwich Station! Room had everything I needed, the bar had a great selection of beer and cider, food was good, and their backyard outdoor area was an amazing little oasis. Many thanks to the manager Tina for excellent service. Would definetly book again, if I return to this area.

Beautiful British food. Zak is an amazing host, friendly, professional and humourous. One of the best pubs I have ever been (and I have been to a lot!)

Delicious food. Especially loved the calamari with chilli and mango. Staff friendly but we felt let down by the slow service and lack of communication. I appreciate it was a busy Saturday afternoon but it would have been helpful to know that it would take an hour to get our food as we had hungry kids.

Excellent pub. I had Sunday lunch with my sister here. Enjoyed the fish ‘n chips in the garden atop area. Drinks service is done via the QR code printed on each table and food ordered via the staff. Service was prompt and quick and Conrad (? Apologies I didn’t upload the review immediately so may have his name wrong) was excellent. We will certainly return especially now we approach the better weather

Come here for a Sunday roast with 8 members of my family and was blown away how good are afternoon went from start to finish. The pub was very busy and had my concerns we would be waiting for our food for some time. That was not the case at all. Food was served in a good time and we all ate at the same time. Which ain't always the case in larger groups. The food was very good and portions are more than fair. Definitely be coming back soon.

Lovely pub, food is great and was very busy for a January day. I had the scallops and terrine and I've had the cod on previous visits. Cocktails are lovely and very interesting ingredients. Served by Zack today and he was great.

Service very friendly and accommodating. Starter: Parsnip Soup - Excellent, delicious. Main: Steak & Ale Pie - very good, ale not discernible, veg missing (buttered leeks). Dessert: Sticky Toffee Pudding - not much toffee in evidence, custard was split and lumpy - yuk.

Had a fantastic time here - delicious food and a great range of drinks (for grown-ups and the kids!) The service was also far better than most other pubs I've been to. Conrad especially took great care of us with the kids. The beer garden has clearly been revamped too and is very comfortable. We had a great visit!

Beers - normal collection with some good ales. Good size location and outdoor space. Good - booked a table for dinner - for pointed to a dirty u clean table in the bar area unprepared. That’s just unprofessional. Asked about food and got turned it three staff to get the answer. Give the menus. Went to order the food…”sorry we don’t have that. “No sorry we don’t have that either. Sorry haven’t got that either. Nope I think we’ve… wait… yeah we’ve run out”. So when I say why don’t you tell me what you do have… I get eyes rolling huff. We have everything but this this this this this. So you have fish and chips and curry, that’s it. Very disappointing and poorly run. For a decent looking pub it’s space opportunity and location and run like a east end dive bar. Restaurant next door though…5 star in all.

Comfortable hotel in a very nice area. Room are quiet, comfortable and clean. The pub at the ground floor was very good and, judging by the good breakfast, I assume the restaurant is good too. The only thing which is a bit below level is that the reception desk is mostly unattended. It does not depend on the people at the reception, which are very helpful when they are there, it’s more how the service is set. All in all a good experience.

Really lovely pub in the village with really good vegetarian food. Had the salad bowl with haloumi and vegan burger with chips. Plenty of outdoor sitting.

We dropped in for a drink on a cold and windy late Thursday afternoon in November. The pub is very atmospheric with low lighting and a lot of dark wood. The staff were pleasant and service was pretty quick. This place is obviously popular for dinner (or it was quiz night?) as lots of the tables in the bar were 'reserved' even though it was only 17.30. Maybe 'reserved from (time)' would be nicer and would allow the tables to be used until the reservation time? The pub is pushchair and dog friendly and there were quite a few mums, minders and hounds in for a drink on the way home. We didn't eat here, but the menu had some interesting offerings although, when compared to other places in the area, prices were a bit higher. Not sufficiently attractive for us to book a table for dinner and come back the next day. We will probably return for a beer when it's on our way, but I don't think we'll go out of our way to come back.

There aren't a lot of choices for vegetarians in the mains, but two starters really stood out. The Goat's Cheese was a salad with a slab of roasted cheese cooked to perfection. The slightly sweet green beans and peas accompanied it nicely. The beetroot leaf (or at least that's what it appeared to be) added a zing that I quite enjoyed. The butternut squash risotto was a unique taste, although the freshness of the butternut squash left me a little wanting. The portions served are large, so the starter could well qualify as the mains. The bar seemed pretty well equipped, although I didn't try anything in this visit. A homely setting to spend time at.

Amazing staff with great atmosphere. I came here with my parents and we were greeted by the host who happily sat us and we were attended to quickly. We ordered the plant burger and steak pie which were excellent. Definitely recommend to families and friends.
