Besides the food being awesome the service was spectacular. Our waiter who was from Portugal did a great job recommending dinner options for our party of 5 to share. Everything he mention we ended up ordering and was not disappointed. I forgot his name but he did a great job being attentive to our party even when it got busy. The out door seating by far was the most desirable place to sit however we opted to sit inside the restaurant. The decor is cozy and rustic, it was bigger than I thought. Great food and great service, it’s a nice place to sit relax and enjoy.

Staff here are excellent. Charlie and Never were so professional and customer orientated. This pub is ideally located close to waterloo station and have a wonderful outdoor seating area as well as a nice restaurant. The food and drink on offer is delicious and great quality. Customer service is second to none. Had a meeting organised here in one of their meeting rooms (the snug) and the staff couldn’t have tried to accommodate us more. They really do go above and beyond. You can tell when a venue cares about their team as well as the punters when they have a hydration and sun cream stand on site! Such a great vibe here and often very busy after work hours, so recommend getting in early and/or booking. Will defo be visiting again soon!

Friendly service but the food wasn't all that. The pub was busy but the food was too hastily prepared and felt too mass produced. The deflated football aka the Yorkshire pudding wasn't the one 😔👎 Veg and potatoes weren't cooked enough, the beef was decent but the gravy didn't add anything.

Nice Gastropub outside of Waterloo Station. Good selection of beer and really nice food (recommmend the steak and guiness pie). They even put up with a rugby stag do of 20 blokes in fishy hats for a few hours. Hope we didn't frighten the regulars.

Probably THE best pub in London! Great house wines, good choice of beers and the food is restaurant quality with a pub price tag. You have the choice of sitting cosy outside (heated), in the pub area, the restaurant or private areas. But the one thing that makes this a must visit is the staff! Always up for a chat, caring and they'll do whatever possible to make it a good time. In summary, when in Waterloo get yourself a table here!

Great pub, just opposite Waterloo Station. We went there on Saturday night and it was busy but you could still chat. Service was great and i would highly recommend it.

Searched the internet for a reputable Sunday roast pub and settled on the Duke Of Sussex… I have to say the food was tasty and hit the mark. We stayed for 5 rounds of drinks too as the pub has a great vibrant atmosphere… options of Roast Beef, Chicken, Pork Belly and a Vegetarian option… and if you’re feeling brave, you can get all the meats together in a giant Yorkshire pudding for £40 as a sharing plate.

Popular spot with wide drink selection and plenty on tap, including satisfying London Pride. Superb seared seabream, butternut squash couscous salad, and roasted chicken. Swell kids menu. Nice service. Many tables reserved, booking ahead highly recommended during peak weekend times. High end and cozy. Dog friendly.

Been several times and always a wonderful vibe. Outstanding staff and service. Choice of outdoor seating, pub seating, or restaurant seating. Several function rooms upstairs. Food is great, classic British fare done well. A solid selection of beers on tap including a couple of craft ones like Hepcat.

15 of us enjoyed this pub for the first time as we embraced the 22 degree summer weather outside under garden umbrellas. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The specials and especially the pork belly bites and peri peri chicken burger were next level beats! The only eye watering moment was, when I had to pay the Bill....ouch!

The food at this place is amazingly good . It might just seem like bangers and mash but it's unreal. Beyond tasty . Food elevated to a higher level. Service was great and location really handy for Waterloo / Southbank. Good beer selection too in the adjoining pub .

Little hidden gem of a pub, you couldn’t believe a gastropub like this can be found on the doorstep of Waterloo station… Had a yummy roast beef and shared a sticky toffee pudding for lunch! Booking highly recommended as it gets busy on Sunday!

We both had the vegan roast dinner and enjoyed our meal. The service was good and friendly.... And even though we got a little bit wet from a relatively short downpour, it didn't dampen our enjoyment of the afternoon. I didn't know about the pub before but I would definitely go again!

There isn't much to fault, but there's nothing to really sing about either. We booked a slot, seated immediately, there were still plenty of empty tables on a Saturday at 17:00hrs. After being seated 1 waitress informed us 2 dishes that weren't available, but wasn't asked if we'd like anything to drink, so we had to prevent her from dashing off to at least order a tipple... Then another waitress arrived to ask if we'd like anything to drink... No thanks, just ordered them. There's no prices on the drinks list, except for wines. The Crab and Crayfish cocktail, was very nice but didn't taste any different from a prawn cocktail from Tesco. The Beer battered fish and chips (swapped the mushy peas to normal) was erm... Very, very crispy batter. Some vinegar would've been nice but wasn't offered, we didn't ask as she seemed run off her feet. It was definitely a decent portion size! Father-in-law who always finishes everything, couldn't! For the price we paid for 4 people, we'd go and try something else nearby (plenty to choose from) next time.

Absolutely fantastic little place. Great outdoor seating options and awesome staff. The food presentation was splendid as was its taste. I would highly recommend the bangers and mash. Reservations were easy and they even reserved our spot 30 minutes before we came just in case we got there a little early. Many many thanks to The Duke Of Sussex staff and chefs!

My favourite pub in London! The food and drinks are amazing but what makes this place so special is the people working here! They are so sweet, always smiling and take perfect care of their guests!

Booked a table for 12 upstairs on a Sunday. The place was busy so I would advise to book. Super quick service. Great food including Sunday roasts and fish and chips which was popular (and recommended).

Interesting spot near waterloo station that looks better than it smells. We stopped by to grab a glass of wine and some pork crackling sticks for a quick drink and snack on a slow day. Service was quick and wonderful. The wine selection didn't seem very high quality although there were some niche options. We asked for a wine from Spain and were generally disappointed with it. The pork crackling bar snack came varying in texture. Some being nice, crunchy, and crispy, others strangely soggy. Not a dealbreaker though even though it was just alright. The weird part of everything was the smell throughout the first floor. Trying not to be too vulgar, it smelled what I would imagine it would be like at the horse guards parade.

Lovely atmosphere, and amazing staff. Special recognition for Giocomo’s outstanding customer service who went above and beyond for my mum today by managing to get a dessert for her that had actually run out. I can tell that the staff at this establishment are well trained and always give 110% and aim to make every customers experience memorable and pleasant

Allergies. I cannot express my thanks enough to the waitress and kitchen staff for taking my multiple food allergies seriously. Found something I could eat, warned me about all possible cross-contamination and enabled me to actually feel confident about my decision to eat out. Food and wine were delicious. Service also excellent. Thank you! So much anxiety eased for your hard work.

The veggie Sunday Lunch was absolutely delightful and I really enjoyed! Would love to revisit and try more from the main menu, plus the manager was very handsome so that's always a reason to re-visit!

Great place to meet up with friends, not far from Waterloo station. Good selection of drinks and food. The atmosphere was good and very Christmassy. Although it was busy we did find a place to sit down outside ( a bit chilly) and then inside. We decided to stay rather than move onto another pub..

Been here a few times for the footy and always enjoy it - good space and decent drinks and food menu… only came down to a 4 on this occasion because of the luke warm roasties (my fave) other than that the Sunday roast was a banger!

The whole team was very friendly here. Service was great. Food and drinks were quite lovely. They have seating farther back in the establishment and outdoor seating too. I had the fish and chips and they were so good!

It was very busy on a Monday evening, and we were wise to have booked a table for dinner in advance. The menu was extensive, with good vegan options, and the food really rather good. The service was good, too, especially given how busy it was. The bar was busy, too, and noisy. I haven't lived in London for many years and had quite forgotten how much noise these places contain. But we had a great evening out, and being just around the corner from Waterloo Station was a bonus.

Booked a table for a family of 8, was originally offered the bar area, but given a private room as we had 2 young children. Very happy with the service, the staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was brilliant and didn't have long to wait. Only fault (me being picky) was a bit of a wobbly table... Overall 5*, would definitely recommend and we'll definitely be eating there again on our next visit down. 😊

Really nice pub, and good price. But if you go close to last orders be aware of the fact that they prop the door open so you freeze, and when asked to close they say “because we need people to leave” (even though you’ve just bought something to drink?) and the bouncer comes round telling you that you have 10 minutes left, then a few minutes later comes back round telling you to get out. (For reference, the pint I had took me ~15 minutes to drink which is fast). Nice pub but needs better management or should call last orders earlier so they don’t have to push you out of the door.

Nice pub but average food Pub and staff were nice, has a nice pub garden in a good spot that I recommend Food was a disappointment after the pictures looked good. Had the fish and chips and got delivered lukewarm. Fish batter wasn't crispy and a bit cardboardy. Chips were decent just a little cold. Wings were really good though

We had a FAB work x-mas party here and it was great! We had a nice room with a speaker to play our own songs. The service was a* and the food was great. Fantastic wine and champagne selection. From booking to paying it was smooth sailing. Thanks Team!

Friendly staff, greeted at the door and made to feel welcome. Huge outdoor seating area, plenty of seats and heaters. Inside is immense, old furnishings complimenting the new. 2 minute walk from Waterloo Station and Old Vic, open early, a must visit.

Delicious food, I had the pork schnitzel and truffle fries, both very good. Also good alcohol free options for drinks. Negative point was that it was VERY loud, maybe it was the acoustics in the room but we had to literally shout hear each other over the noise of the other tables.

Fantastic pub. Amazing service. Never, yes her name is Never, was an absolute star. Her servi e was excellent. Very attentive and so easy to chat to. The food was great. All round 10/10. Thank you for the great afternoon.

The food is so delicious! Here from Australia on holiday and have had a meal here twice now. The Kiev was absolutely delicious and so was the Sunday roast. Staff are super friendly and even the chef smiles as you walk past.

We attended for a bridal shower at the Duke of Sussex. We were given a private room and no time constraints. The staff were superb! They were personable and attentive. The food was also very delicious! We each had 3 courses and without exception, they were amazing! I would definitely recommend here for bridal showers, birthdays or any event where a private room is required!

I had Sunday roast here. Food was not too bad but can't say good. Service also was not satisfied. If you don't bring your plastic card, you have to pay in advance with service charge. But the thing is you have to pay it before you get any services. How would you know you wanna willing to pay it or not in advance 🤷🏻

Really lovely vibe, appreciated being able to book an outdoor table in the sunshine. Sweet potato fries and chips were lovely, as was the first Pimm's of the year! Particularly impressed by staff's calm and knowledgeable attitude towards allergies. Will definitely visit again. Thanks in particular to Vivian and Shaq (sorry if I've spelled your names wrong).
