Calm and authentic nice pub, quiet but spacious restaurant upstairs. Great selection in Samuel Smiths beer, affordable prices 😊

Samuel Smith pubs used to be good for cheap beers and the beers taste good. Now this isn't the case, they are well over priced and I had better beers for less money elsewhere. a pint of organic wheat beer costs £7.30 pnt, this is ridiculous, it doesn't cost that much to make. Samuel Smith today is well over rated and if they keep this up, people will stop going and they will close. This is pure profiteering at a time where the cost of living, energy bills and interest rates are sky high. Pubs are closing down at a relentless rate because of profiteering.

Had family visiting from overseas and wanted them to have a pub experience. Bar staff seemed unbothered by the fact that we weee trying to get in with and there was No wheelchair access, not even a ramp I still went in and all this effort only to find out that they don’t serve food after 5pm on a Saturday That plus the staff attitude, we promptly left and ran to All Bar One on regent street.

This beautiful old pub has so much character. The staff were friendly and the toilets and tables were clean. Just an FYI, the loos are downstairs from the ground floor in case anyone struggles with narrow staircases or stairs in general

This Sam Smith's has been a staple of the area for years. Bits of it haven't changed for decades, but some things have (the toilets still look fresh since the last refurb a few years back). The staff are as great as they can be on a Tadcaster salary - they should be paid more! You get a mix of people here: those fed up with Oxford Street, the BBCers, the tourists, and the office workers. It's usually quite empty, though. There are a few tables outside, which is great. Don't expect the moon on a stick (it is a Sam Smith's, after all), but it's good nevertheless. The thing that bugs me the most: the clock .. go, have a look, have a pint, and tell me I'm wrong!

nice building, service friendly, good atmosphere. not impressed at the quality of the lager - tried alpine and the organic one and wasn't convinced about either: they just tasted odd - not is a rush to drink them again.

A woman tried to steal friends phone and he went up to tell the bartender and he said “this is central London, what do you expect? I’m not going to do anything”… not very good consideration for your customers. Please be mindful of creating a safe environment for people visiting your otherwise lovely pub.

Lovely pub with a friendly staff. Gives you all the experience of a British pub. They got some good selection of beer and the inside asthetics are very old timey pub like. Quite a lot of room, yet can get crowdy. I wish there was bar seating too but overall a good decent experience.

Good old fashioned british food in a warm ( open fire) and friendly environment, the fish and chips with mushy green peas was terrific

Fantastic bar, great and friendly staff. Love the quiet music free atmosphere, and the no tech zone is a nice change of pace. Solid beers with proper heads. lovely pub, very much feels like a tavern

A stone's throw from Oxford Circus this typical central London pub has a cozy and intimate atmosphere. It is perfect for a quick drink or settle into a corner for a longer session.

Worst experience in my life. Do not go in here. It’s empty for a reason. Came for a family drink and the server looked miserable and treated us horribly. They didn’t even have items to make the drinks correctly. Dirty, disgusting. Manage your staff better. Really disappointing…

Bar staff could be a bit nicer to customers, especially when we are the only ones in there. Music would be nice when the pub is dead too but I’m guessing they don’t have a music licence. No phones allowed.

I met a friend that I did my nursing with in 84 and its down the road from my office. I had a steak and kidney pie and mash. It was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend

Lovely little "old school" pub where you can hear yourself think, and sit and chat with friends without having to scream across a table.

Lovely traditional Sam Smiths pub with quality real ales, a roaring fire downstairs and decent pub grub. A device free upstairs eating area - you go to enjoy conversation, food and ale. Beautiful wooden interior - panelled walls. True - as someone else remarked, the (Turkish?) guy downstairs was miserable - obviously didn't want to be there - but the (Polish?) lady upstairs knew how to serve with a smile - she was lovely. Maybe a cultural thing? Would definitely go again.
