Very old (circa 1710, allegedly), traditional pub; a very small ground floor bar, out front seating, and an upstairs lounge. Very friendly staff and locals (some of the latter a little too tipsy on a Saturday afternoon at the time of our visit) and a cosy environment. The pub’s name refers to Queen Charlotte, wife of ‘mad’ King George III. Apparently she rented a small cellar beneath the pub where she stored some of the king’s favorite delicacies whilst he was being treated nearby for his illness. A good range of well kept ales (I had Timothy Taylor Landlord) and also a decent gin selection. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delightful old pub, beautiful interior, really cosy and homely. Three polite and friendly guys behind the bar, four real ales on the pumps and a little telly showing the news channel, which I think adds to a pub these days, but they need to turn on the subtitles! Great mix of people, two chaps playing chess, a little Indian crew, some old geezers, friends, couples.. One request, please get some good wines in! Even if they're still basic ones, go up in quality a little, as the reds were really quite awful! Look forward to my next visit to this charming place.

An excellent traditional pub in the heart of Holborn. We had a good pint and a hearty meal served by a very friendly barmaid. It was quiet on the Saturday we were there and seemed to be a haunt for the local regulars which is good to see. Lots of interesting niknaks around the place show casing it's past history. Good selection of pub fayre on the menu and a good selection of interesting ales. Well worth a visit. Has outdoor seating to the front and side too and extra room upstairs. Very cosy, warm and welcoming. Keep up the good work.

Such a beautiful pub, just like a little local pub ought to be. Great friendly staff, brilliant food, gorgeously beautiful surroundings. Outdoor and upstairs space too. Highly recommended. Thank you for your continued friendly welcome.

Decent pub. Stumbled across this pub on a mooch through London back towards St Pancras. Had a wine or two. Wine could've been colder. Hubby had a G&T and then a beer. We both had some crisps. Not sure on price as was pretty drunk by the time we got there. Didn't use the facilities or indeed even go inside but outside there were a few picnic tables that we sat at on a pleasant Monday evening. It was busyish as most places in London are.

Super tiny "L" shaped pub. Staff and punters were all friendly. Super dog friendly bar. Heated outside seating. Great decor. Fresh flowers on all tables. The landlord and Landlady were lovely. Would go regularly if I was able.

Stopped by after arriving at St Pancras. Quality little pub on the corner near a small park. Friendly barkeep with some great knowledge of the offerings. Had three different beers on cask and they were all perfect temperature and delicious!

A classic little pub with a warm welcome although a bit chilly inside on our winter's day visit. The seating is rather worn but comfortable enough. The food was great classic English fare at a reasonable price.

A great little pub, well out of the way(from the usual tourist rabble). I was there a little early for food at 12pm, but the barman was great for a chat and a quick pint.

Nice small little pub situated right near the GOSH, we popped in whilst we were waiting to go to an appointment. We didn't order food, but other customers did, and it looked tasty! We planned to go back after our appointment at the hospital, but it over ran by several more hours than we'd planned for. However, next time we're in the area we will stop by again for some food.

Awesome pub. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, one of whom rattled off a list of even older pubs in London to check out. There was nice atmosphere sitting outside and a good selection of beers. There was even some poetry in the bathrooms, copies of which were available on request!

We swung in on a whim for lunch. The staff is all fun and friendly. There is a nice selection of beers on tap. The fish and chips were some of the best I've had.

Probably the most welcoming pub I have been in, and that’s a few! Great bar staff, only had drinks but would recommend.

Nice beer and friendly bar staff. But small but there is more seating upstairs. I do like pubs that aren't part of a chain and retain their own personality.

Nice and old school style pub perfectly located in a quiet corner of the street. Hand pumped ales on tap and a bar staff that’ll keep you entertained and coming back for more. Til next time!

A wonderfully eclectic sitting room that sells beer. Fine staff, always eager to help. A lovely setting on a corner, bordered by the green square and a paced pedestrian street. Tables outside too so you can take in the atmosphere and have a smoke if you desire. Say hello to the clowns sitting atop the bar, they are a bit "Chukky" to look at...they may come to haunt you!

A blast from my past.Memories of this pub are very hazy after 35 years since my last visit.Just remember it as an off the track pub full of locals who were all welcoming and keeping a friendly atmosphere.Glad to say its still the same.Love it.

Stopped for lunch with friends before we all headed to different trains. Great staff and the food was good. Perfect place for a drink and something to eat.

Nice staff, working hard. Could be better if more 'no smoking' areas are put in place near doors open to inside the pub. Not much non alcoholic drink (beer, gin etc) alternatives.

What a great little pub. No pretensions here folks. Sort of Pub you would find in the country. Food is very good. Beer selection could be a little wider. Prices? They're not bad. After all, you're in London pal. Staff? Make sure you're there when Dave (THE BARMAN), or Alex (All the way from Mexico), are behind the bar. Excellent service. Hope they're still around when next we pass through London.

What a fantastic little pub, full of character and I believe it's been going since the 1700's which is quite amazing when you imagine how many people must have been through it's doors! There's a very friendly vibe within, helped by the bar staff and the many decorative pieces that litter the place add to its charm no end.

A friend and I from the States, recently visited this small neighborhood pub! We loved how friendly and cozy the vibe was in there! The locals and bartenders were so welcoming and friendly, and we quick to fill us in on the history of the pub and the old neighborhood! The bartender Johnny was the star of the bar! He was very friendly, fun to watch behind the bar and very well liked by the locals. He made sure to give us a rememberable time while we were there visiting! This is 1 of 2 pubs we visited more than once during our visit, to London! I highly recommend this place is you’re looking for a real local feel, with people who take pride in their neighborhood!
