We’ve been going to this place for 7 years since we moved to Greenwich and it used to be our favourite. We would even take our friends here telling them “it’s the place to try fish and chips guys” but yesterday we were so disappointed with our food😣 I came there to have their usually fantastic tasty and golden soft fish but instead I got dark brown stone crusty something that clearly didn’t identify as fish anymore and was absolutely inedible (you can see it my photo - it’s actually all the “fish” after i broke the crust , I couldn’t eat it). I don’t know why I didn’t complain to the staff or didn’t ask for a replacement food, probably because I was too tired to start that) I hope it was a one time situation and whoever cooked that “fish” yesterday will never do it again.

Been a huge fan of Kings Arms for about 6yrs, and coming back for some great british ales and of course, for fish and chips. Never experienced any better!

It is outrageous that this pub can still operate a kitchen. Ordered a fish and chips and got served one maggot. While the staff was great and refunded the plate + gave us a new one, saw at least 2 other tables returning plates with issues. Urgent inspection needed

Went there for food and drinks with some mates. Drinks are pricey (considering we are students) and the portion sizes are a bit small for the price. The food itself came at a good temperature and was very tasty. The drinks were good, staff was very friendly and the place itself was nice. We sat in the garden which has lots of nice seating areas with pillows. I was very grateful for the outdoor heaters which provided my with some warmth when it got cold outside. You can smoke at the back but not under the roof area, which wasn't a problem.

The food and the beer were excellent. Staff especially McLaren were super friendly - we visited the pub with two young kids and she made everyone welcome. They have a really cool courtyard, perfect for drinks with your mates.

It was a perfect day to be sitting out in the beer garden for a Sunday roast. My eyes were bigger than my stomach and I went for both chicken and beef roast. The half chicken was delicious, the beef were bit dry and look as though each slice of the roast beef was cooked individually. The most disappointing bit was the lukewarm roast potatoes…

This is quite a decent sized pub with a garden that is good in warmer weathers. They have a good selection of wine, which is labelled vegan on the menu, it's a real plus as a dedicated vegan. I always enjoy visiting here.

Great ol’ pub with good vibes. The food was descent and I’ll definitely be back when visiting Greenwich again. You order at the bar and they bring the food.

Great food and beer. Alex is very friendly and sociable! And he’s pulling 12hr shifts on a broken ankle . Get this man an office job!

We were looking for atmosphere pub with fish and chips and variety of beers. The best choice! Though not enough seats we're available, but very nice people shared the table so we could eat. Fish and chips were fantastic! Fish humongous, fresh, delicious, and chips very tasty. Barmen advised on beers, we enjoyed the time and even played scrabble!!

Great little establishment this. Bartender Gem had great chat, poured a decent pint n all. A little attentiveness goes a long way. Had a little chat with one of the chefs from the kitchen. Stumpy bloke named Rocco. Didn’t really seem like he knew what was going on but he whipped up a class burger. Overall a pretty solid experience for what it is. Don’t let the establishment rule the roost.

Popped on for a drink before Madonna concert (she was fab). Really lovely pub, busy as rugby was on. The roast dinners looked really tasty - saw the 1/2 chicken one go past- smelled amazing and great portion size. The beer garden at the back is really quaint. Would definitely visit again for drinks and food.

Went for dinner during rugby World Cup. They were really nice to us, giving us a good seat. Food was very good indeed. Lovely homemade chicken pie and seafood. Would recommend.

I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday roast at this charming pub in Greenwich. Really nice patio area, and good atmosphere in general. Maybe it's the location, but it came off as very touristy in case you were looking for any local flavour. I suppose I can't complain though, because I was there as a tourist.

The pub provides a wonderful hangout spot! With great food and drinks, it offers a cozy environment. It's a perfect place to relax with friends and have a good time. The friendly atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyment. If you're seeking a spot to unwind and share good moments, the pub is an excellent option!

A lovely place in a lovely area. The food honestly wasn't the best or the worse, a little mid and the service we got could have been better but other than that, it's a very nice place. The ambiance on the outside terrace is relaxed but alive and it's a nice break from the busier parts of London.

Favorite pub in Greenwich. I mean it’s kinda standard but that’s not a bad thing. Usually not too busy unlike the rest of the Greenwich pubs. Nice cozy vibe inside and a solid garden out back. Staff are great. Food could be improved (shared the chicken platter) but would really just go here for drinks anyways.

Nice pub. Plenty of room when we went at about 4pm on Monday. Good range of beers (Greene King plus guest ales). Friendly staff. Good food. I had Steak and Ale pie which was nice. Chips were lovely. Came with a cabbage wedge. Very buttery - unusual but nice. Downside was that gents were smelly! Would recommend though.

Their back garden is very charming. Its absolutely not crowded during weekdays afternoon so you can chill with your friends over there. Also a very dog friendly place

Brought my “Italian” parents here and if you italian you know how difficult is to introduce them to food that’s not Italian 🤣🤣🤣 well they were so happy! Top quality traditional British food, and super nice beers. We got the Hampshire pork belly (super delicious!) and the sausages as well. Staff very kind as well. Definitely looking forward to come back here 🙏🏻

Any better than 'good'? Well... The location is good (if you find yourself in Greenwich); the food is good (we had the Beyond Meat Burger Sliders, chicken wings and a dish from the kids' menu); there were dogs there, which is good; the beer garden was good, though a bit dated (although I gather it is getting a refurb in a couple of weeks, just in time for spring!); the selection of drinks was good and the lives were clean (which is also good). What makes this pub better than good is the staff: they're great. Happy, friendly, knowledgeable and chatty. Even if all other aspects were just 'good' I'd probably be back just for them.

My son and I had an excellent fish&chips here. This pub does not take fish&chips for granted but brings it to a level of excellence I’m not sure I’ve ever seen before. And the selection of beers is super fine, well, this one is rather expected:)))

Great pub for location, beers and customer service! Sarah and her Team are fab. Also look out for McLaren behind the Bar for speedy and effective service and pleasant accommodation. Only popped in for pint - but spent an afternoon there! Highly recommend. M

Wonderful pub. Visited at the weekend when I decided to visit Greenwich park with my dog. I saw a sign outside the Kings Arms, saying dog friendly, I entered and it was busy. The staff were all friendly and happy. The vibe was joyful. The Beer garden is large. The drinks range was great, and food was superb. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely staff, so helpful. But honestly, my roast was dry and bland. Guess it was like £13 or so, so wasn’t expecting the world but always a bit sad when you go out but make it better yourself. Thanks to the team but food wasn’t for me personally

Outstanding Fish and chip lunch, probably the best we've ever had. Amazing selection of craft ales and wonderful staff. Big thanks to the manager for making us feel most welcome. We'll be back.

Been to this place 3 times, unfortunately. The most rude staff you can ever find, do not go here if you want a nice evening, plenty better places around. First time we went here, we got shouted at for breaking a glass and staff having to sweep it - we didn’t break it, it was left by previous guests. Second time, we were with a dog. It is a ‘dog friendly’ place. When we went to grab a pint from the bar we heard the staff talking between themselves how nasty our dog is and how they hate people coming here with dogs. (We confronted them about it and their attitude was more than dismissive). Least you could have done is to apologise. Third time, they sold us beer from the bar. When we came to grab a second pint, we were declined due to not having an ID. We are over 30. You already sold us pints😂 IDs of other customers were not checked. To the bearded guy who is probably the manager - find yourself another job, hospitality is not meant to torment girls on your power trip.
