This place holds the record for being London’s narrowest pub. There’s toilets in the basement. A ground floor bar. Shuffleboard tables on the first floor and a function room on the 2nd floor. And historic pub and well worth a visit.

You should come here! Chicken is really good as juicy and not dry ! Drinks are fair — size vs price 🤣🤣 Like their music as not too noisy so you can chi-chat with friends very easy and cozy. Location is great as well ! Try 🍺🍷

Nice sweet pub that has a HUGE selection of gins. More than 100. Deceptively big, it is narrow but deep, 3 storeys (that I saw) all well decorated with gin displays N another bar counter. Cosy hideaway in the middle of Fleet Street. The girl behind the bar knows her gin, not just the brand, but like what mixers brings out the best in which gin. Very nice pub

An historic pub on Fleet Street with a beautiful, tall & narrow façade. Deceptively spacious, with the ground floor and upstairs going back a long way. Traditional shuttleboard to hire too. I’m not a great fan of Greene King ales but a good choice of cask and craft overall. Friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

Great pub near Royal Courts of Justice. Staff are friendly and attentive. There is a great selection of beer, spirits and wines. Shame about toilets. One toilet was out of use and the other toilet door you could not shut properly

We went inside thinking we'd just have a quick pint and we'd keep on walking, but the atmosphere and the menu tempted us so much we've decided to stay and have lunch. Great decision! The holiday themed food was delicious, and the gin selection didn't disappoint either :)

I liked this pub. Plenty of seating and a large selection of draft beer (28 are on tap). There's a cozy area upstairs to sit. There's also more seating available on the main level. Make sure you get a chance to see the outside of the building. Absolutely wonderful architecture (squeezed in between two larger structures).

My family and I had just arrived from America and were waiting to check into our flat. We were all tired and hungry and decided to eat here. At first the hostess said there was not enough seating but a gentleman said he was leaving and we could have his booth. The hostess sat us down, we ordered, and it was a great experience. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is great, and everyone there was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

Had steak and ale pie with buttery mash, cabbage and merlot beef dripping gravy (with a pint of bitter) for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Pub was pretty empty so nice and peaceful. Staff were nice and service quick. The food was delicious. The pie was massive so make sure you have a big appetite if you have this dish.

Very atmospheric place, but the food is NOT good. We were very surprised, as the place is so old and cool to spend time in for a pint. But I had one of their pies, a common food in London pubs, and it was truly hard to eat. My wife had mussels, they were not fresh and smelled borderline bad. Very disappointing, and the worst pub food we've had in London. Sorry, but this is the truth, and I do not like giving bad reviews normally.

Fantastic bar, amazing whisky selection but you know what really makes this bar and that's Valentina. This lady puts the capital S into service for her customers and deserves every star given. Well done Valentina you're an absolute Gem x

Such a cute, narrow pub. Really good drinks selection and it's nice to have a cheap chain like Greene King in this part of London. Will definitely be going back. Attentive staff, lovely decor and very clean. Very much recommend.

This place is one of the best pub/restaurants in London. The staff in particular Noel and Turga are absolutely amazing, you couldn’t get more welcoming and helpful staff. They are stars!! The food is amazing, mac and cheese and pork is spectacular. Atmosphere is lovely and you can have music and still hear yourself talk. We will be back!! Thank you ❤️

Great food for a group of 2 adults and 4 children. Really accommodating, and although no children's menu, they did a portions with a spare plate so we could share and not waste. Friendly, and chatty, they know their gins too - so many to choose from! The pub was clean, warm and welcoming. We'd be back if we found ourselves in the area. Special thank you to Nick, Tolga & Jack.

Portion sizes were paltry for the money. I ordered mac and cheese which was also very salty. They also don't do any hot drinks so if you're not drinking alcohol you're forced to drink soft drinks which tend to be very sugary. The staff were friendly enough though. Probably a good place to come for a pint but I wouldn't eat here again.

Nice pub that was a few doors up from the hotel we stayed in. The staff was friendly and helpful. The drinks were nice, and the landlord was amazing and made us feel more than welcome. We didn't get to have any food, unfortunately, but others that did have food around us looked amazing and smelled great.

Great pub with a brilliant atmosphere reminiscent of earlier fleet Street pubs. Competitive prices and great staff.

Super nice place! It was the only place in the area that served food after 8 and the food was great. Good selection of beers, lovely decor and atmosphere. Will totally visit again! Forgot the phone there and barman found me when I have left and returned it - thanks :3

We stopped here for something to eat, the staff were polite and friendly, the service was ok. The table where we sat hadn't be cleaned down properly still had salt and food bits on the table. The food I had was slightly disappointing warm butternut squash soup which did taste lovely but had far to much green stuff in the middle which was unnecessary it actually detracted from the flavour of the soup.. Two very small pieces of ciabatta. My husband had the burger which was OK is all he said. Cutlery came after the food. Bathrooms need modernising. Overall a pleasant pub.

The food is great The atmosphere is like a bolt hole from the madness of Central London. Highly recommend. And free Iced Tap water by the door...! Views are v near, looking toward Fleet St

Amazing selection of gins and the bar lady Valentina was incredibly knowledgable and her service was fantastic. Her suggestions were exceptional as she really knew her stuff and was very friendly. After staying her for a few more hours, we had the pleasure of being served by Ina as well. Another lovely member of staff who was approachable, knowledgable and very friendly. Extra points for putting up with us being quite drunk. With two incredible members of staff, this is a great place to visit for great service with a smile and to broaden ones knowledge of gins. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend and thanks to both Valentina and Ina.

Ina - Without her this place would be a pub without Ina, which is not a good pub! Great recommendations for gin and life advice.

Nice venue and staff. Has shuffleboard upstairs but a bit pricey compared with some other venues.

We stopped in here for a pint after visiting an exhibition on The Strand and ended up staying til closing time! The drinks and food were good but I was most impressed by the bar staff, who all went the extra mile to ensure we had a good time.

Previously have received good service here. However today was served undrinkable beer which was replaced without an apology but rolling of eyes. And food orders came half an hour apart, with the food not as described on the menu. The manager dismissed our complaint with "its a new chef" comment. Pathetic service hopefully a "bad" night. A nice welcome back.

Not a good experience here what so ever. No welcome or greeting by staff after id booked a table weeks before hand. Waiting to be seated but had to go find a staff member myself. Was told “your tables down here” without any direction, so we had to look around for our name on the reserved tables. Ordered on the App and then I was told we can’t order on the App. Bearing in mind, no staff member told us this?? No mulled wine, no fresh lime, no food being served! All of which showed on the menu and a sign by the bar saying ‘mulled wine’…. Extremely disappointing visit! Would not recommend!! Don't waste your money here.

Such friendly staff! The lady with blonde hair and glasses was so nice and sorted out a mistake right away! I was quite when we were then and it's a blink and you'll miss it pub. The decor is homely prices just right for a London city pub. Visit if your in the area you'll not regret it.

Good selection of beers on tap, average food (could be better seasoned), and okay service from staff. I get that they close at 10pm but I dislike being made to feel unwelcome from 9.30pm - staff cleaning floors, coming back to our table every 5 minutes minutes take glasses away, etc.

Food menu has changed alot, you can order at the table, but only shame is that the QR code is on the menu rather than the table. Food has improved since the last time I went which was at the start of 2020. Went in Feb 2022. Drinks are always good. There tends to be quite a bit of a wait on drinks but its a nice pub for a lunch aswell 😀 toilets are available downstairs too

I have a replica model that took inspiration from this place. It's said to be the only surviving wooden building from the 1666 Great Fire of London. Hope to visit one day.
