Really nice pub with excellent outdoor space. Plenty of room for us on a Sunday evening even though we were walk ins. The food is very decent pub grub and not at extortionate prices for the area. There is still an option to order everything through the app which made things really easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Edinboro Castle is a local institution known for its proximity to Regents Park, Camden and a large outside area with tables and food service. While a major destination during the summer it is a cozy venue for winter. The food menu is extensive including starters such as crispy squid (£7.00), mains including a tasty crispy pork belly (£16.50) and dessert including a pretty good sticky toffee pudding (£6.50) On offer is also a sandwich and a drink (175ml glass of wine or a pint of beer) special for £12. There are six sandwiches on offer including a french dip steak sandwich and a Korean style fried chicken wrap. The service is efficient and warm. Highly recommended for groups - lunch or evening.

Went their with colleagues. None of us liked the place. Even before entering it, from a distance could hear lot of noises. On entering, the queues for even beer were too long. Not a place if you want to talk or spend some quality time. It's like go there, pick a beer(as its nice and famous for it) and not sit for hours. If you go, prefer getting a place to sit outside. Inside screens for sports are there, but it feels so much congested types.

Drinks were not good and most of the staff had to read the ingredients before making each one. They also wouldn't substitute the gin I wanted, even though I was willing to pay extra. They gave some incoherent reason and I was surprised, since I’ve never had that problem at a bar. Also, the men’s bathroom was out of hand soap and all of the staff just seemed to just lounge around and play on their phones. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. *** Update on 5.19.22 *** Saw the response from this establishment (see below) and that should demonstrate on how their place is poorly run. I also took time to look at the other negative reviews, and the responses from this establishment were immature and amateurish. I wrote my initial review while I was at the establishment, it was that bad. Since I didn't order any food, I couldn't comment to the quality. However, when I spoke with friends after, they thought their meals were overcooked and bland. These past 2 weeks, we've been to more pubs than we can remember; however, this one definitely ranks as our worst of all time. All others have been above average, if not great. There is no excuse for bad food, drinks, service, staff, and management.

Pub garden is great place to hang out with friends, even if a bit chilly. The heaters will keep you warm. Always have a good time here, foods tasty, drinks welcomed

A basic selection of beers available. Pride in keg was teased but not available. The pub was simple if not spectacular. They had sports on which was good a what seemed to be a decent sized garden. All in all three pints of quite run of the mill keg beers for £21 was not good value. The price versus quality just wasn’t there. No better than a Spoons but at joke prices. Sort that out and I may return.

Great food (was a delay as it was crazy busy, totally acceptable and in prompted the waitress possibly landlady gave us a free pint each to say sorry for the wait). Beers are great, good range multiple guest ales as well as Camden brewery regulars. Food was tasty and the large garden space is excellent in the summer. Interior well designed and good pub feels. Would highly recommend.

Sunday lunch. Cold and mostly inedible. Rock hard flat yorkshires, undercooked potatoes. Sticky dirty tables. Bad service. Shame. Waste of money and calories.

Pub with a large outdoor area and a pleasant atmosphere inside. In the evening it is frequented by locals who stop to drink a beer and watch sport on the screens. The guys who work there are very kind.

Most staff were friendly except the door staff. The guy in charge of seating was quite blunt and refused to give us any menus. And was funny about me swapping a stool for a chair - I have a bad back. And the bouncer was following me into the toilets and then didn't use any of them - which again made me uncomfortable. The bar staff however were great, however I think I may have been over charged for 1 round. And the food we all ate was excellent all round.

Friendly family pub with very large beer garden in the yard at the back. Nice atmosphere. Food was good although quite a few things on the menu unavailable. On the day we were here they had rugby on screens inside and football on screens outside. This got some comments from some people. None of it was loud, very relaxed place.

I booked the Edinboro Castle 3 Course Festive Menu for my work Christmas Party. I am so happy! The food was incredible and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful (we were a party of 17 and everything - from ordering drinks, to pre-ordering food, to paying bills was so easy and smooth) 🙏🙌 The atmosphere was warm and festive and we even took part in an unexpected pub quiz. Great night had by all! Thank you so much!! 🥳

Good big beer garden and decent size inside. Can't go to the bar to order...table service like almost everywhere now. Have to order through a QR code on the menu. Pretty quick service mostly considering how busy it was but they had a load of staff on that day for the football. We didn't book a table but turned up early and managed to nab a booth. Decent selection of food and drink too.

Food was good until I was in the bathroom and the female chef came out of the bathroom and didn't wash her hands. Definitely won't be back .bar staff didn't have a smile on their faces either or manners

Nice pub generally, staff nice. the person with the colourful dungarees working there is lovely. Beware tho ..the security staff are slightly eager to finish up and once last orders are rung the doorman will try and make you leave and make you drink your drinks fast or leave them, they won't even give you a cup to take away and not waste your drink :/ - thats the only gripe otherwise nice place.

It's good for what it is, a centrally located pub with a large beer garden. Good for large groups on a sunny day. Very good beer selection, although prices are creeping up - £7+ for a lot of their offerings. Overall, it's good for what it is, but definitely not a local pub you'd frequent weekly.

Nice spot. Good beer selection, mostly bottles. Nice looking garden for warm weather. A hair overpriced, especially the food. That's the area though.

Nice pub in Camden just by Regent’s Park that also has screens for sports etc. The garden catches the sun for most of the day in summer so obviously it can get very busy at times due to that. Generally slightly above average for prices too but you can get a Pravha for £5.90 so not too sad! We used the app on a Sunday afternoon and the drinks came out about 2 minutes later so the staff were on point, 10/10.

A beautiful spot in the heart of Camden that maintains the sun, if you don't mind the standard cost of a London pint. Six quid per Pravha and a very acceptable range of food and drinks, including a tasty vegan range. Staff very accomodating.

I have been there a few times now with the lads after football, I can't comment much on food because we usually only have peanuts, crisps and drinks but from what I see with other customers, the food looks delicious. The service is very good and the staff are friendly. The atmosphere is usually good, not too noisy, apart from us of course. You have the choice to sit inside or outside. So for me, a visit to the Edinboro Castle is always a pleasant experience.

May I have a pint of Lon Pride I asked. No, it’s off said mine hosts. They seemed pleased. Later I politely asked if they had an iPhone charger I could use. No we don’t said the charmer behind the bar. Short, sweet and brusque. Fair enough but said in a tone and with an expression that would curdle milk. I won’t be back in a hurry, Not even if the beer was free 😂

Went for a pint and a spot of lunch. Ordered 2 Henry westerns, a burger and a steak pie. One of the glasses was dirty with old lip stick marks. Which was replaced with a clean glass on request. Steak pie was nice but the burger was very dry. Shortly after we both became ill and vomited it all up. Not great. Would go again but only for drinks

Nice pub with huge outdoor seating area and efficient and pleasant staff. Has a nice menu and a good selection of drinks. Often very busy. Pricy.

It was not too busy, and the garden had a relaxed atmosphere. Reservations were easy to set up. Orders were easy to make in person or on the phone. Heaters were perfect for the cool outdoor evening. If anyone wants regular table service, e.g. clearing up empty glasses and dishes, I would tell them not to expect such things since staff is only around to serve a drink or food. Alternatively if you like to be left alone for a nice, long gathering in the garden, this is a fantastic spot for any size group!

Great pub, met up with 14 friends, pub set aside an area outside for us. All under cover, with heaters. Decent choice of beers and spirits, very good food and friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Visited today for the first time. Had a Sunday roast which was delicious! Huge portion of chicken with lots of veg and Yorkshire pudding. Staff were very efficient, attentive and courteous. Would definitely recommend the pub for a nice place to meet friends and eat some great food.

Made a booking for a large group which was super easy and we even got our own little area. Good drink selection and food was pretty decent. Nice big space inside and lovely beer garden outside. Great place to bring a group or team.

I arrived here just after mid-day for a 1.00pm meet on a Thursday. It was quiet with only a handful of customers. As I supped a couple of Neck Oils (£7.20 p/pint seemed a bit steep) I couldn't help but notice the bits of food on 2 different areas of seating, cobwebs (admittedly up very high) and an empty crayon box lying under a radiator. It all suggested the cleaner(s) need to pay more attention. Other bits of decor need a bit of TLC. A couple of hours later and it was so busy, I doubt if anyone cares about things like that when the money's pouring in.... Fish & Chips (£16.50) was very average.

The Edinboro Castle hosted my student group for a meal while in London on study abroad. They managed everything for 15 of us flawlessly and the food and service were wonderful! My colleague and I went back on our own a few times to watch F1 and enjoy the great food and atmosphere. The beer garden is great (and it's HUGE for London) and the people there are top notch. We had other group meals and pubs while we were there, but EC set the gold standard and we will be back!

Entered the pub and was greeted by a lovely Leanne. I’ve visited many many pubs and they find it hard to fulfill my drink requirements. Leanne got what I wanted straight away. Please understand I visit top end establishments and good staff are hard to come by. She is a gem in the pub game.

Nice ambiance at the outdoor bit but the food wasn’t great and too expensive for what you get. The sticky toffee was definitely not sticky toffee pudding…

  • 4/5 Antonia 1 year ago on Google
Decent drinks, great outdoor space (though I would recommend booking an outdoor booth in advance). Food choices can be quite limited for vegans & vegetarians, though there are some dishes. If you're looking for a pub in Camden that isn't completely packed, this might be the place for you.

This is a great pub. It used to be our local many years ago and returning here it was good to see it was as welcoming and comfortable as ever. We didn't try any food on this occasion although it did look good. Bar staff were helpful and efficient, the cocktails went down well and it's good to see they've added a couple of non-intrusive TVs as well if you do want to catch up on the sport in the background. One of our favourite pubs in the area.

Good use of outdoor space. Abi was very helpful, assisting me with menu suggestions to fit my husband’s dietary restrictions and also giving me tastings of two beers prior to my final selection. The food and beer were delicious. Thank you Edinboro Castle!

Lovely, best outdoor space in any pub I’ve been to thus far in London. Good food too should you be after a meal.

Had a work event here and it was fantastic. The whole team around 60 of us were made to feel very welcome and the service was incredible. All drink and food orders packages arrived as promised and were very tasty. Staff catered to our every need and went above and beyond to make our evening special. The outdoor booths plus high tables was the perfect vibe for our team. Will be back again!

Nice pub garden. Drinks are expensive regardless it being near Camden Town. Main issue is the security staff pressuring people to get out of the garden even though we'd paid a fee for a large work gathering (NHS Staff). When we were leaving, 2 of them followed us across the road. Quite provocative and could be considered intimidating. Best avoid!!!

Great roast! I had the pork roast and the portion size was great! Reswine jus was so tasty and the veg and potato's lovely. My partner had the beef roast which was just as hearty and great tasting with a generous portion size. Staff were so attentive and happy to help, highly recommended this place. Oh I loved the outdoor seating too, didn't book in time for one of the booths but they look great too!

Very good service and friendly attentive staff. There was 8 of us and unfortunately there was a couple of meals off the menu that weren't available. But no great issue.
