The Bag o Nails a pub on the corner between Victoria station and Buckingham Palace. Lovely service, a fine selection of beers, both cask and keg. Rapidly fills as soon as the doors open with a joyous cosmopolitan crowd. A good place for a beer, you won't be on your own!

Traditional pub with great service. Had drinks but not any food. Comfy setting and not too loud.

You need to order from the bar 1st and then they'll bring your food. It was pretty crowded at lunch time but we found a table inside. We split a burger, it was VERY good. The beer was nice and cold. The employees were friendly and helpful.

The best dinner! My chicken burger was absolutely delicious, probably the best burger I have ever had. My partners pie was delicious. I had a ginger beer, which was okay, and my partner had a beer. We sat upstairs in the dining room and had a nice view.

Tucked near the regal Buckingham Palace, the 'Bag O'Nails' restaurant is a charming gem that combines a wonderful vibe with a fantastic location. My recent visit left me with a mostly positive impression of this establishment, where the energy was palpable, the servers were welcoming, and the ambiance was delightful. The first thing that struck me upon entering was the inviting atmosphere that seemed to envelop the space. The well-thought-out decor and cozy interior immediately set a warm tone for the dining experience. The lively vibe was infectious, and it was clear that this was a place where locals and tourists alike could come together for a good time. Speaking of the location, it's hard to ignore the allure of being in such close proximity to Buckingham Palace. The historical grandeur of the surroundings added an extra layer of appeal to the overall experience. There's a sense of being part of something special as you dine in this location. The servers at 'Bag O'Nails' were a true highlight of the visit. Their friendliness and warm demeanor created a welcoming environment that made us feel right at home. However, it's worth noting that there were instances where getting their attention was a bit challenging. Given the restaurant's bustling nature, it's understandable that they were juggling numerous tables. While this did slightly affect the overall experience, it's a minor quibble considering the busy nature of the establishment. Now, let's talk about the food. The Fish n Chips, a British classic, was satisfying in its own right. However, it did lack a bit of the distinctive flavor that I've come to expect from similar dishes at other establishments. While it wasn't a disappointment by any means, there was room for a bit more seasoning or a unique twist to make it truly memorable. In summary, 'Bag O'Nails' near Buckingham Palace is a place that encapsulates the heart of London's charm. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly servers, and excellent location create an ambiance that's hard to resist. While there might have been some minor issues with getting the server's attention and the flavor profile of the Fish n Chips, these are small blemishes on an otherwise enjoyable experience. I would certainly recommend this restaurant for those seeking a quintessentially British dining experience with a lively twist.

Popped in for a Sunday lunch. Ordered a roast chicken which was not in the slightest roasted and came without a Yorkshire, when asked was told we needed to order as a side when cleary the menu stated it came with it, the roast potatoes had obviously sat a while and were then reheated to the point of no return. Also, ordered a pork belly that came with an apple and squeak ,which again was no where to be seen but instead was replaced with mashed potato, which would have been OK if told beforehand. We had dirty cutlery given to us after having to ask for it twice. Not worth the price. The young girl working alone upstairs was rushed off her feet.

Great place, good food, nice service. We came on a recommendation and enjoyed our time here. The fish and chips were ok, the salad was good, the Mac and cheese was really good! I enjoyed a nice cider!

This wasn’t the best pub I visited in Victoria. They had a decent selection of beer, and I had never seen the hand pumps before, but I ended up leaving not satisfied. We did find a whiskey we like here though, that’s why I gave the fourth star. The food was just ok. We had the nachos and some fries. The chips were good and the VERY LITTLE cheese on them was decent, but it was not good overall. We hate about half and went elsewhere.

Bag O' Nails, nestled on Victoria Street in London, England, is a hidden gem that seamlessly marries traditional pub charm with the quintessential British dish, fish and chips. Upon entering, you'll be immediately captivated by the warm, inviting atmosphere, complete with a delightful bar. The bar at Bag O' Nails offers an extensive selection of libations, from classic cocktails to a wide array of wines and craft beers. The skilled and friendly bartenders create a perfect setting for pre-dinner drinks or a night out with friends. The cozy, dimly lit surroundings add a touch of elegance to your visit. Now, let's dive into the food. Bag O' Nails doesn't just serve fish and chips; they elevate this classic dish to an art form. The crispy batter enveloping the tender fish fillet is cooked to perfection, delivering that satisfying crunch with every bite. The accompanying golden fries are exactly what you'd expect from traditional pub fare – crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Don't forget the mushy peas and tartar sauce, which complete the dish with their authentic flavors. This dedication to crafting the perfect fish and chips is a testament to Bag O' Nails' commitment to preserving the essence of traditional English pub cuisine. It's comfort food at its finest, and it's evident that the chefs take immense pride in serving this beloved dish. In summary, Bag O' Nails on Victoria Street is a must-visit for those seeking the ultimate fish and chips experience in London. This establishment seamlessly combines a welcoming bar with outstanding, traditional pub food, making it a cherished spot for both locals and tourists alike.

Was unexpected stop here and only 3 stars due to the poor meal quality in all 3 courses… Fish&chips, steak and salad. All missing a taste and grilled chicken as a gum in the salad! is the beer everywhere in the pubs served unchilled really?

Great pub just outside of the Buckingham Palace area. Seating in the main dining area, outside or upstairs. Great beer menu as well.

To be honest. Totally disappointed. Took family there as you normally cannot go wrong with an English pub and grub. But I was so let down. The service was nothing you would expect in a pub. The food was mixed up. It was just about passable as ok to eat. I would not be honest unless I told you to avoid if looking for a reasonable meal.

Great Pub, short tube ride from Chelsea ground. Tube £10 using bank card, £12:50 if buying a card, for each User an Individual bank card is required. Approx 12 minutes between Tubes dependent on journey etc. Bag O'Nails Pub Friendly accepted away fans, Good selection of Drinks Alcoholic and Soft Drinks, and nice Food well priced for the Capital. Staff working hard, Obliging, and Polite despite a Pub full of Hungry Thirsty Punters. Outer wall for Buckingham Palace across the road.

I cannot rate this establishment highly enough. My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful afternoon here. For one, dog friendly.....tick. They offered water for her.....put up with her periodic barking 🙄 For two, super speedy service even though it was mega busy. Food off the wall amazing. We had the Lasagne and Hunters Chicken - highly recommend both. Fellow flippin’ patrons lovely and friendly! Management real and attentive. If I lived nearby this would definitely be my local ❤️ Thank you Bag ‘O’ Nails. You’ve nailed it re the perfect pub 😁👍🥰 x

Sunday Roast was great! And cider too. We had a good time having lunch there. A quiet and peaceful pub very close to Buckingham.

Bag O’Nails/Greene King delivered. Wanted to have a tourist-y moment at the Palace, and didn’t want to leave London without having Fish&Chips at a pub. Outstanding-“just order at the bar and give them your table number.”

I came in here because I was walking around after seeing Buckingham Palace and I saw their Sunday Roast sign outside. I ordered this, and it took a long time to order. The roast very much underwhelmed. The meat (I got beef) was room temperature and tough; I mean, just look at it. Would you want to eat that? Very disappointed. However, the sauce that came with it was good and the potatoes were piping hot. The cauliflower was also good. The spicy fried cheese appetizer would get 5 stars. Would definitely order that again.

Quick seating, friendly staff, great food. The food took about 25 minutes to come out—not bad for fresh food. Very cool English pub vibes for a first-time London visitor. Prices weren’t bad. Paid $26 USD for “Our Favourite Platter” and a lemonade which my wife and I shared.
