The food was GREAT! I do have a few gripes though. 1. The water tasted as if it was bad tap water. 2. The shrimp, although very nice in size, tasted like it was just taken from the sea (please soak in milk or a little baking soda and water). Lastly, the server Ryan aka King Joffe (his name as our server on the receipt) was extremely rude. He was telling us what to eat, not suggesting, eavesdropping and also made the comment “at these restaurants” where one could insinuate that he thought we’ve never been to a “nice” restaurant before. All experiences are different, but Mr. Ryan definitely needs training in overall customer service!! So this review was mainly based on the service. Again, the food was really good!

This was one of the best birthday dinners I have ever had! I went all out and got the Delmonico Ribeye , as well had the Pimento Cheese, French Onion Soup and Mashed Potatoes. Everything was excellent! It is hard finding a good steak, but Dressler's delivered. Very flavorful, perfect temperature on the inside, but perfectly flame broiled on the outside. The portions were really good sized compared to what you would get at other fine dining establishments. Joanne was a great bartender and made some strong and flavorful cocktails and gave me great service. They also gave me complimentary home-made cheesecake for my birthday that was phenomenal! Despite already being full, I devoured it. It was also a pleasure to meet Mr. John Dressler himself who happen to be there and to thank him for the wonderful birthday experience. I've been to several other higher end restaurant in Charlotte, including the Fig Tree and I would definitely choose this place again over them for special occasions. I plan on going back again soon to try their other dishes. They have a great variety of dishes that look exciting.

My daughter took us to Dressler‘s for Easter this year. It was the first time I’ve ever been, it will definitely not be the last! First of all the staff is excellent and well trained, the food was fabulous! Portions are generous, seafood is fresh, the mix of flavors and ingredients is creative and wonderfully done. We had the fixed menu, opened with appetizers then a salad, our main dish - fixed price menu for $75 per person, then we paid extra for dessert. Wonderful mocktails. Highly highly recommend Dressler‘s for a special occasion. I didn’t see the regular menu to comment on whether or not that was affordable. The $75 was well worth it in our opinion and after our experience. We had the homemade pimento cheese, excellent by the way. The calamari with peanut Thai sauce was PHENOMENAL! No legs, the body sliced and lightly dusted/cooked - almost melted in my mouth, it was so tender! I easily could have made a meal out of that. Ahi tuna was fresh and very flavorful. The lamp chops were cooked perfectly, seasoned beautifully and tender without the heavy Haney taste lamb can have. The piece de resistance were the potatoes!!! I’m not a fan of the Pomme de Terre, I dislike au gratin. However…..these!?! Loved them!!!! Just incredible, their chef knows his ingredients and how to make them shine! My son had the shrimp and shucked clams linguine, it was fresh, light and excellent as well. My daughter had the frittata which was fabulous! It came with small lobster tail, and a flavorful dressing that I could tell had fresh cilantro in it. Let me tell you, their frittata was wonderful. The lobster? It was small and ok, it paired okay with the frittata, but the frittata stood on its own and didn’t need the surf side. The desserts? All I can say is you can make a meal out of the desserts as well lol! I can take or leave crème brûlée, but this had to be the most amazing crème brûlée I’ve ever eaten. Their cheesecake? I make my own, these are even better so that’s saying a lot! The dark chocolate cake was moist, not too sweet, and rich. The carrot cake is really really good however, I feel like it needed more cream cheese flavor and less sugar in the icing. My daughter told us that they have other restaurants as well, I would highly recommend a visit to Dresslers and can’t wait to try some of their other locations. I may be mistaken, but I think someone posted about Finn and Fino? I believe that is also owned by John Dressler! Definitely looking forward to trying the seafood there. Hope everyone had a great Easter! *** I edited this to add that the seating outside is really nice. Right by the Greenway, the stairs are painted by an artist my son had heard of. Colorful! Then there’s a statue though sadly I didn’t know of whom. Really easy to get in and out. We parked right by the Trader Joe’s and ended up going shopping after dinner. Great location!

This place is really over rated. The food is very expensive for the quality and quantity that you get. The Crab dip is a very small potion for $21 and it was just ok. My salad was a disappointment and finally I ended up with the pimento cheese appetizer which wasn't impressive at all. Elegant environment good service but that's about all. Also the drinks are a ripoff we got the Coconut drink in the shell full of ice with the alcohol in it and seemly water down.

My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here and the ambiance was great. The sword fish and steak were cooked to perfection. We enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

Last night, our CarePatrol team hosted its annual ‘New Year Dinner ~ Celebration of Gratitude’ dinner at Dressler's Metropolitan. Wow. We could not have been more pleased, or asked for a better overall outcome for such an event. We had 32 in attendance, a wonderful gathering that consisted of nothing but positives and compliments from our guests. The wait staff was impeccable, beyond courteous and accommodating, while being very prompt throughout the night. Seriously, they were all fabulous! The food, including the appetizers, salad, main course, side dish and desserts were divinely delicious. The ambiance of the space that was used could not have been more perfect, offering a lovely outdoor patio area where drinks and appetizers could be served before our group's sit down meal. Thank you, Ally, our Event Planner, Gil and the rest of the wait staff, as well as the kitchen team who prepared our menu items. We truly appreciate you all and look forward to next year!

Let’s talk about HEATHER!!!!! We LOVE HEATHER!!!! She was sweet, attentive, helpful,the BEST!!? Food was good. Crab dip was so fresh and tasty. Calamari app was tender and tasty. Ohhh the Wedgie salad was full of crisp lettuce and great tasting blue cheese. The desserts were moist and HUGE!!!!

Great Service. They accommodated me as a Vegan, it's beautiful inside, and the food was presented well and tasted amazing. We all spent between $30 - $50. I had Vegan Risotto with stir fry veggies of my choice and Shishito peppers as an appetizer. Everyone loved their food, but said the mac and cheese was okay. There was also crab dip everyone loved which didn't make it to the pictures. If you want bread, you must request it as they won't bring it out automatically. It's made fresh and so good. I have no complaints. We did have a reservation, so once your party arrives you can be seated. This is also a place you can just come have a drink at the bar. It's also a great location with plenty of retail, restaurants, and grocery shopping. I parked in the lot/ramp for free directly across the street from the restaurant where Trader Joe's is. I would recommend and come again.

Went here for my birthday dinner. I requested a booth in my Open Table reservation and the host gave us a lovely booth because of it. It’s nice when a restaurant pays attention to requests when you make a reservation. However, they somehow missed my note that we were there to celebrate my birthday and it was never acknowledged, so that was disappointing. We ordered: French onion soup Crab cake appetizer Braised beef short ribs Rack of lamb Oreo cheesecake Everything was excellent. The best dishes were the French onion soup and the lamb. I got it with garlic herb sauce and it was so good. Highly recommend! My son got chicken tenders and fries off the kids menu. It was very crispy and well seasoned. Our server was great. Very professional and attentive without being intrusive. A manager came and checked on us a couple times during our meal. Overall, we had a great dining experience and would recommend for special occasions.

Context: went for a business dinner, 8 guests. Pros: +Staff was welcoming and helpful. +The food was good across the board. + no vegan option (it is a steak house after all) but they accommodated one of the guests with a risotto. Cons: - Espresso was not great - Cocktails were light on liquor for a $16-17 price tag - table bread and butter would have been a nice touch

The food was amazing as usual & the customer service was superb. They have changed the lamb chops to a lemon mint sauce it is on the sweet side but not bad. I loved the vegetable melody that came with the lamb. The drinks were delicious & the crab dip is always consistent. Also they have outdoor seating & live music on Thursday right now through @ least August.

Me and Fiancée decided to have date night at Dressler’s for the very first time. We started out with the wedge salad and the goat cheese and roasted garlic appetizer. The wedge salad had the perfect blue dressing to iceberg lettuce ratio and the bacon brought the whole dish together. The roasted garlic and goat cheese was a perfect combination was a spread/dip for the naan triangles. There was a generous portion of the naan triangles too. The entree was the Delmonico ribeye steak and it was cooked to perfection. The seasoning on the steak was incredible and didn’t need the two sauces we ordered which were the mushroom Demi and Au Poivre sauce. We also ordered two sides which were the brussel sprouts and the Mac-n-Cheese. The brussel sprouts were probably the best ones I have ever had and the Mac-n-cheese was cheesy and delicious! Overall, I rate my meal 10/10 and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Charlotte area! Also, the service was incredible!

stopped in on a tuesday. the service here is attentive. prices are appropriate for the quality. this place has many good reviews for a reason.

I’ve eaten in a few times here and it’s always been delicious so when I was craving a steak, but didn’t want to eat out in the Covid times, this was my immediate go to. I had the calamari starter which was, as always, delicious and tender. However I ordered my steak medium rare, and whilst it was obviously a fine piece of tender meat, it was cooked to no pink, let alone cool, all the way through. The char was perfect, the meat was clearly great, but it was overcooked. Such a shame.

A pretty tough hike to a modest waterfall. This trail is easy to follow but hard to do. It’s actually a technical level 3 “scramble” —. There are no hills to climb but the boulders are formidable and often tricky to navigate. Good boots are mandatory.

Dressler's is pretty much a Charlotte institution at this point, with the original location having opened 18 years ago. It's easy to see why they have been successful, with good food paired up with a atmosphere that somehow manages to be both formal and casual. Steaks are a highlight of course, but make sure to save some room for dinner... and order one of Mom's deserts when you do!

Yum! What a great way to celebrate a crush goal with a delicious meal at Dressler's. In a nice quiet Intimate setting with some arm to enjoy your food. We started our dinner off with a juicy fruit mocktail not to sweet just right. Now, that goat cheese with garlic spread had my taste bud on a good high. Don't sleep on it! I had the shrimp and grits full of flavor load with crab meat and sausage. The grits were definitely cream. I really did not like the mac and cheese. However everything came out fresh and hot. They do offer valet parking plus free parking in the garage across the street from the restaurant.

I loved food, service and atmosphere first bc I went with my kitty and they didn’t have problem for that and then for the delicious dinner that we had. Even it was a raining day we were in the terrace and the spot was perfect! (Only for us) 😌 We ordered Rack of lamb, Brussels sprouts, Pan seared salmon, Mac and cheese and red wine. Everything delicious, I recommend if you are in Charlotte is a gem!

Service was great. We never felt rushed. Food was very good. Cooked to order. Definitely recommend the Metropolitan Old Fashion to sip on.

The steaks were cooked correct to our preferences and delicious. The side items such as the mashed potatoes were rich and flavorful. The Chantelle mushrooms....Sweet Mother Teresa on the hood of a Mercedes Benz... they were so rich and meaty I had to make sure it was mushroom and not tender steak. The desserts are supposedly mostly family recipes from the owners grandmother. If this is true I suggest she be put up for sainthood. The cheesecake in particular was creamy and I did not crunch into pure sugar crystals. This place is heaven and it hurt to leave [or rather I was so full it hurt when I left]

Not a very welcoming environment. The server was very unfriendly and when notifying management, I was given a story about how he didn’t meet a customers expectations 20 years prior. Ive had better food from food trucks. The restaurant gives the facade of high class dining but definitely under shot.

I have visited Dreslers several times. No matter whether seated at the bar for drinks, or at a table, the service is fantastic and the menu is well organized with a great selection for numerous pallets. From the starters to the afters, I've had no complaints whatsoever. This is a choice I'd make if I wanted something special without the stuffy presence.

Dressler's is phenomenal. This is our favorite restaurant for any special occasion. The location is convenient and parking is simple with their complementary valet service. The staff are knowledge and friendly. In response to the Covid pandemic they are skipping tables and all employees wear masks properly. Be sure to try one of their amazing deserts as well!

Went without a reservation and after initially being told they didn’t have room, the manger called us over and said he could make room. Turned out to be a wonderful experience, with excellent steak and an incredible dessert! So appreciate the ‘special’ treatment and great service. This is a first class establishment.

Our first visit to Dressler’s was driven by a desire for an extra special date night AND the chance to sample the work of Rare Roots Executive Chef, Scott Hollingsworth. And what a special night it was! We were seated outside in a perfect set-up for covid-era social distancing, just between two pillars. It felt like having our own tiny private dining space! We were tended to beautifully by our waiter, Jeff, and had just spectacular food. The French Onion Soup was, according to my husband, the best he’d ever had (and he’s eaten a LOT of French Onion Soup). The blackened heart-of-ribeye was excellent, but if you’re not a blue cheese fan, I’d definitely recommend getting it on the side. If you love blue cheese, its scrumptious! The filet with mashed potatoes and Demi glacé was excellent too. Overall, we had a wonderful night with great food, great atmosphere, great service in a great location!

Went here for my birthday with my husband. The experience was quite amazing. The valet Angel was quite pleasant and very sufficient. Our server Wendy was the best. I love the way they explain the whole menu making our experience the best. Will definitely return.
