I have not been here in a while, but when I would go, they made you feel like royalty and the food was better than you could imagine. Well now in 2022 all that is gone. Now service is good, but not at the $100+ per person level. Same for the food. It is good, but for a $60 steak that had low flavor when I was expecting a deep flavorful steak, they came up short. The best side dish was the $21 lobster mac-n-cheese, but I would have expected more than 2 small nuggets of lobster.

Old school elegance and class is how I would describe The Capital Grille. Our waiter Derek was very informative about menu items and what wine we should order. The restaurant sides are enough for several people to eat, so no need to over order. Everything was absolutely so delicious and well seasoned. I would recommend the lobster Mac 'n' cheese, and the Brussels sprouts with bacon! An overall really amazing dining experience from service to the food!

We went here during restaurant week and did not know it. The options were great. My steak came out perfectly cooked. My fiancés chicken was surprisingly good for being chicken. I highly recommend the lobster macaroni. I recommend the valet service due to the parking in the area. Great place to go for an anniversary or special occasion!

Exceptional service! The staff are so accommodating, attentive, and personable. The food was enjoyable (although the steak was a tad bit salty). Drinks were amazing which is a big deal since some bartenders in the area don't know how to make some relatively easy drinks like a whiskey sour. Must try the Double Oaked & Rye Manhattan and the Passion Fruit Mojito! Ambiance was fantastic with free people-watching entertainment provided by those passing by (if you sit outdoors). Only thing better than all this was the company of my wife. Great date night. Great place to relax and unwind.

When entering The Capital Grille you feel a hush and you immediately look forward to a special night. While this doesn't always hold true that's not the case with this beautiful restaurant. Living in Long Island and near NYC for over 20 years it's easy to get spoiled and set expectations for fine dining. Moving to this area recently we weren't sure what we'd find but shortly after we were seated at this amazing restaurant, we felt like we were transported back to NY. The waitstaff was excellent, forseeing all our needs. The food was delicious and all set in a quiet, elegant space. Expensive, yes but so worth it for a memorable evening.

Fresh, perfectly prepared seafood. We had Sea bass and Salmon. They have a gluten free menu. You may need to reserve your place several days in advance. Business casual. Our waiter, Derek was attentive and knowledgeable. TY

As soon as I walk in, the service is very welcoming. Every staff spoke to us as we walked in to be seated. We ordered from the restaurant week menu and I got the Blue Cheese and Bacon Wedge Salad, Seared Citrus Salmon, Cream Spinach, Mashed Potatoes, and the Cheesecake dessert. We also added Lobster Mac and Cheese on the side. The salad was really good. I’m a bacon lover which really made the salad pop. The salmon was cooked perfectly. I didn’t know what to expect, but the citrus flavor was well balanced and cooked to the right temperature. I added the shrimp to the dish and it was just as delicious. The sides were good! Mashed potatoes had a unique flavor in a good way. The cream of spinach was good. And finally, the lobster mac and cheese was good as well. Tasted as expected. Finally, the cheesecake was amazing! The portion size was small because it was from the Restaurant Week menu. Next time, I won’t be ordering from that. Sean was a great waiter. He provided amazing attention and amazing service all around! Made the experience well worth it.

Incredible. The lamb chops are better than their steak, and their steak is great. I had a special that included a South African lobster tail. It was the best lobster I've ever had. Their drinks at good too. I personally recommend the in fashion.

We really enjoyed the experience at this restaurant. The French onion soup was so delicious and cheesy. I love my steak well done and sometimes restaurants take that request as a go ahead to bun the steak. But they prepared my steak PERFECTLY. It was still juicy and it had a wonderful salt crust. I also had the cream spinach. This had a little too much garlic for my liking. The dessert was ok. Overall, I would come back here.

Absolutely loved it! It was my moms 50th birthday and we made reservations in advance. The table had confetti with 50s on it. The food was absolutely amazing and would recommended anything on the menu! The cheesecake dessert was to die for. 10/10 would recommend.

I've dine here a few times and they never disappoint. The food is excellent, the service is incredible, very elegant and classy restaurant. They try to accommodate your specific request as much as they can. Will give them more stars if I could.

Indeed the service from valet to being seated was exceptional. Our waiter Peter was great he made sure we were taken care of and the portions were quite large. The dining experience was great! Diverse setting with excellent service across the board.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Steaks are always perfect. Lobster Mac n cheese is the best! Large pieces of lobster. We couldn’t get reservations they were booked but when we called she said to be there at 5 and we could get a seat at the bar. We got a great seat. Our server was also the bartender. She was unbelievable. Handled the stress of a making drinks for the entire restaurant while serving us with such grace. She was fabulous.

Lorenzo was just amazing! We came for the generous pour wine tasting, but he stole the show! He was funny, super helpful and made this night out so much fun. Food was good, too. The wine tasting part. First of all - 7 different wines to try is a lot. Especially since not a single one of them was bad. $35 for all of them? Yes please!

Very high end restaurant but well worth it. Food was worth ever penny, the South African lobster tail was out of this world! Wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Not an every week restaurant but definitely stop in again next time we're in downtown Charlotte for the night.

I cannot express how delighted I am by my experience and the Capital Grille. My partner and I were visiting the area and did not know much more about the restaurant beyond finding the name online. We easily called to place a lunch reservation and were seated right away upon arrival. Our entire experience at the Capital Grille was one of the most elegant, delicious, and positive dining experiences I’ve ever had. Our server, Hannah A., was extremely attentive, friendly, and professional. She was extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the dining experience, anticipated our needs and was so pleasant to talk to, as well as answered all of our questions. She also recommended to us the cheesecake, which I can easily say is by far the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Our drinks were phenomenal quality (pictured is the Bohemian and the In Fashion) and each part of the meal, from the bread to the appetizer to the entree to the desert was perfectly portioned, cooked, and presented. I immediately had to call family and rave about the restaurant after we left. This was truly an exquisite experience. Thank you Hannah for being so attentive and patient! I do hope to return to have another meal soon.

Good as Always. I was looking for a good place to have a nice piece of meat. Capital grill never fails. If you are a meat lover you must try this place at least once. All the food is really good and have nice cocktails, and great wine menu. Is a must.

My husband and I went here for our 1st wedding anniversary tonight. There was a little bit of hearts confetti and a card on the table when we were sat. It was a nice gesture! Then they surprised us with a lovely dessert and toast at the end. Of course the steaks were amazing! Cameron took care of us tonight and she made it such a special evening. We will definitely be back!

My dad and I came here when we were in town for a Vikings/Panthers game and it was phenomenal. Every aspect of it - the food, the service, the restaurant itself. We had an amazing experience and the food was unforgettable. My dad said it may have been the best meal he's ever had. He got the Dry Aged NY Strip au Poivre with Courvoisier Cream and I got the Roasted Chicken Breast with Mushrooms and Parmesan Risotto, then we also got the Lobster and Crab Cake with Lemon Basil Aioli. We would absolutely return here.

No matter which Capital Grille I visit, they ALL offer the high quality you expect. They are all consistently amazing. I have been to Boston, Burlington, and now Charlotte and again I was blown away! All of the staff go above and beyond to give you the BEST dining experience. From the food to the servers and chef's, amazing in every way! The ambiance, seating design, and decor top notch. You can see the open kitchen and how these magicians whip up pure excellence. I always order the seafood tower and this one came with black magic oysters. I also ordered the filet with porcini rubbed balsamic glaze, one word...heavenly. From the bread right through to dessert, they exceed any expectations you might have. This is where royalty 🤴dines, atleast that's how they make you feel. To all of the staff at Capital Grille...THANK YOU!
