Was pleasantly greeted by the lovely host when another host jumped in between to let me know they couldn’t serve me because of my apparel. Was confused because I was just being seated before she came. However, we settled our differences and sat to eat and the service after that was great. Food was great. Live music being played and people dancing. Was a great time.

Pretentious, over-priced and savior from men's toes. First... The server was fantastic. Let's get that out of the way. He did a great job. My buddy reserved a table for us for my birthday and raved about his previous experience. I was staying staying uptown at the Ritz with my wife and the location seemed ideal as it's a block away from the hotel. Having checked their website/dress code before packing I decided to wear/bring shorts, polo and nice sandals. After having arrived at the hotel, they informed my buddy via a confirmation call that men weren't allowed to wear open toed shoes. I called to confirm this since it wasn't on their website. A host, who checked with a manager, because the manager apparently didn't have time to speak with me himself at 2pm, also confirmed that open toed shoes for men were not allowed even after I explained my situation. I was told the website was a "national policy and doesn't reflect our local policy and that our policy is on open table." 🤔 So I was pretty annoyed before I got there, but again the waiter was fantastic. He actually thought the story was funny and was surprised that sandals were an issue. I guess they pick and choose when to enforce things. Anyways I borrowed shoes from a friend, and my wife and I still dropped $500 even though I guess I felt poor or something for wanting to wear sandals. The food was pretty good. I started with some oysters and got the 12oz filet. It was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. I did actually enjoy my experience at the table. I just want to extend my personal gratitude for this local restaurant's attempt to protect our community from men's toes. Obviously exposure to women's toes are OK, but they're really doing their part to protect the community at large from seeing men's toes to the extent that they would sacrifice someone's birthday experience and that's real dedication. In all seriousness, it was less about the policy and more about the inconsistency of the policy description between their website and their local managers.

Took my daughter out here for her birthday. Had a wonderful time! Our server and the food was great. We both loved the parmesan fish, lobster mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach, and stuffed shrimp. The macaroni and cheese was so so. The calamari was ambitious with the peppers, delicious sauce, and other additives but it was very chewy. The margaritas, though slightly expensive, were on point! The total bill was high but this is an upscale dining establishment. The food was fresh and worth it. The decorated our table for her birthday, gave her a card, and wonder dessert. I would definitely return!

5-star atmosphere, live music, delicious strong drinks and service. The restaurant is beautiful. The calamari, jumbo crab stuffed shrimp and lobster mashed potatoes were very tasty, however the filet was not great. I ordered it to be prepared medium and the steak they served was medium well done. The manager was attentive and promptly brought me a newly prepared steak at the correct temperature. I knocked off a star but will return and recommend you give it a try. Great date night, anniversary or special occasion option in uptown Charlotte.

Amazing experience! Our waiter (Jerome) was phenomenal! He gave great recommendations and was very attentive. The food was delicious. We started with a dozen oysters on the rocks and they were great. The ahi tuna was cooked perfectly and had great flavor to match. The stuffed shrimp was delicious. The lobster mashed potatoes were smooth and well seasoned. Even the sauteed spinach was good!

This was the first restaurant of 2022 and it did not disappoint. Our waiter, Trip, was excellent! The food was seasoned, cooked to perfection, and flavorful. We asked for crab legs and the chef accommodated us. Overall, very pleasant experience and I would be happy to go back.

Absolutely stunning restaurant and atmosphere! It was packed on a Tuesday night which speaks to its value & desirability. Our wait staff and hosts were excellent and the meal was fantastic. I highly recommend. We celebrated our anniversary there as first time guests, but we will be returning. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny, but it's all worth it! Live music too!

My husband made reservations for our anniversary. The restaurant was extremely busy so we were seated 30 minutes late. Our waiter was amazing! The cocktail I ordered was very strong and it was pretty. Our lobster tacos were exceptional! My husband had a lobster bisque that was really good too! Our main course was a bit disappointing as the steaks were burned pretty badly . They cut like butter which was amazing but the char on the steak was so heavy that it wasn't enjoyable. The manager offered to make it right but we were pressed for time. He did however take care of us in a major way and we definitely appreciated the gesture. Over all the food was lovely, the atmosphere was amazing, the aesthetic was beautiful and the service was the best service I've ever received at any restaurant. Despite the steaks, I really enjoyed my night.

Eddie V’s for sure lives you to its standards in their name. Giving amazing SEASONED Steak and Fresh seafood! I can honestly stay this spot won't disappoint! The customer experience is A One! The decor and ambiance are First Class!! We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday and we enjoyed it! We started at the bar with a maverick, 24 karats, and a diamond drink all Flavorful and not lacking in the alcohol and the price was also decent. For Dinner, a few of us had the Jumbo Shrimp with crab cake, 16 oz Steak( And Although my girl ordered well done🤨 it was still the tender surprised me! We also ordered the Norwegian salmon (cooked to perfection with a sweet glaze. The sides are solo but have huge shareable portions. We had the crab fried rice(Good) the Truffle Mac( Blah to be but the enjoyed )the Brussels ( Bussing) and the Spinach (no seasoning at all! Lastly, the service was impeccable and fast! The waitress checked on us often and made sure we were enjoying ourselves! Unlike Atlanta, there was no Automatic gratuity or liquor tax so that’s a plus! 10/10 Highly recommended

Last night in Charlotte and this was the perfect Dinner to leave the Queen City ♥️ atmosphere 10/10 the live band was great. I always love going to restaurants that have live music. Bar service a little slow, but everyone was prompt, friendly and doing a great job. I ordered the Crab Stuffed Shrimp “standing ovation”. Shrimp cooked to perfection and the crabmeat was sweet and flavorful! Everything tasted super fresh!

The food was 'awe-inspiring,' my family was so impressed by the portions (the lobster tail was HUGE), and the dessert...that they went back without me! (The creme brulee was so light and fluffy, it seemed heaven sent...sigh...) The parking is convenient, the area is walkable for after dinner. It is great for a romantic dinner or a simply intimate dinner. I loved that the restaurant was at capacity...but I could still hear everyone at the table. It is not a weekly meal...but I would definitely 'double-down' at Eddie V's for a special occasion...

Brought my wife here for our anniversary, and we both were blown away with everything from the food to the service. Everything we ordered was extremely delicious. We ordered the crab cake, lobster tacos, crab fried rice, and the truffle mac & cheese. They also gave us a complimentary dessert, which was the banana foster, so good. Again, the service was top notch, which is huge for the overall experience. Complimentary valet as well. Highly recommend Eddie V's. Will be back.

I brought my husband here for a just because appreciation date night and you guys knocked our socks off! From the delicious crab cakes, ribeye, New York strip, crab rice, banana fosters butter cake and chocolate cake!!! I’m big on customer service and every waiter was ON IT! I’ve never been told have a great evening by EVERY waiter I pass on my way out the door until tonight and it really makes you want to come back to spend more money the very next day! What really solidified my happiness was the manager who stopped by TWICE to see how we were enjoying our meal! They also offer complimentary valet parking; I mean I could not ask for a better evening!

For a la carte, the portion sizes are larger than many fine dining places I been to. Food and service was great. Or server was top notch. I went for a birthday dinner. They decorated the table as well as gave me banana foster and champagne for dessert. There were a few downsides. 1. Although the covid #'s are high, majority of the guest coming in did not have mask when coming in and waiting. There were a few guest in the restaurant definitely sick with something. The man behind our booth coughed nonstop during dinner... Needless to say, I caught a bug the next day and ended up sick, but that's a risk you take when eating out these days. 2.There's also supposed to be a dress code, but it was not strictly enforced. 3. We had reservations for 9 p.m. , but didn't get seated until almost 9:40. Originally when we arrived they said they were behind schedule. After waiting forever, I asked the lady when our table would be ready and she said that we were contacted via text to say our table was ready. This was not true being that we were standing in front of the desk the entire time we waited and my boyfriend never got a notification on his phone nor did they tell us a table was ready even though we were standing right there. What is the point of making reservations if the time isn't honored.

This was our first time at Eddie V's, and just to start with saying I was impressed is a complete under statement! To the service, right now we are definitely experiencing server shortage and issues, but our server tonight,Nik, was excellent! To taking his time with questions and suggestions on the menu to make sure the crumbs were off our table you did a fantastic job! Then the food, oh my goodness the food! We started of with the shell fish tower, it was everything we could of asked for. Then Chilean Sea Bass needs to be on everyone's list to try! We almost didn't pick it because it comes in a soy broth, and we weren't sure, BUT so glad we did! The fish was unlike anything we ever tasted! I said if you were blindfolded and this was on foods you needed to try you would not know what you were eating except that it was beyond excellent and such a delicate piece of meat! We also had the Mediterranean Brazalino sea bass which was full of flavor and the Brussel sprouts were fantastic! My diamond drink was to die for, I actually splurged for 2 of them! My husband got the patron margarita which was so good as well. Now we arent dessert people but i read about the banana foster with butter pecan ice cream and we decided to try it. Not only did it get lite on fire which was amazing the taste was unlike anything we have ever tasted and we are NOT dessert people! We came out for a date night and a celebration of a new job and this was the PERFECT place for it! Highly recommended!

My first time here while the experience is nice the food needs some work. I ordered the lobster tacos they were good but the dish would've been elevated if the lobster had a touch of seasoning and drizzle of clarified butter. I understand some chefs don't want to drown out the flavor of the meat but you don't have to be heavy handed with seasoning. I loved how the tacos had lobster claw meat. You definitely get a lot of lobster, just needs a little flavor. For my main entree I ordered the lamb chops medium well, they came out looking rare. The lamb chops weren't seasoned at all. Just because there is a sauce that comes with the dish doesnt mean you should skip out on at least salt and pepper with the meat. The table ordered Monterey corn which I didn't eat because there was cheese in it. Not a cheese eater. The second side was crab fried rice. I'm not sure if it was the oil or some type of wine the rice was cooked in but I didn't enjoy the dish. I hope they will have more dishes without cheese. Please remember everyone doesn't eat cheese and a lot of people are lactose. The service was 5 stars unfortunately I wasn't satisfied with the food.

Came here for anniversary. Atmosphere was good. Live music low lights... Michael, our waiter, was really great. Nice, easy to talk to, and willing to make our experience the best. We even spoke briefly to Chad. Food was very delicious. I had three scallops and filet mignon. Wife had the Chilean Sea Bass and stuffed jumbo shrimp. We also had a bottle of Australian Riesling white wine. Wow was that good!! Appetizer for us were the goat cheese with arugula salad and Cesar salad. Overall experience was great.
