Unfortunately, I hadn't really heard of Brooks' until the tragic murder of one of its owners. At that point, I definitely wanted to patronize. In the rain, I finally stopped by yesterday, 3-16-22. It was a splurge purchase as I've been trying to cut back on carbs. I ordered a cheese burger with everything on it & a side of fries. The fries were more like potato wedges, & that was fine with me. The young lady who assisted me was pleasant, & I received my food less than 5 minutes after ordering. Not sure if it was the best burger I've ever had, but I definitely could taste that the burger was seasoned. Would visit again for another splurge.

The burgers are great!! Made to order and very friendly customer service. The sides items is also tasty. Waited for about 5 minutes from order to finish, in which I ordered three burgers. Don't be fooled by the pictures, if it's your first time, go with a single burger. The double burgers cam be alot of burger to eat, especially if you get bacon add on. Really important to know, they only take cash. It is an ATM outside, but it will be a 2.50 surcharge. Overall, it's well worth the buy.

I went to Brooks sandwich house for the first time yesterday (7/27/22) for lunch with a work colleague. He saw that they recently were voted based burger in North Carolina so wanted to go. It's a nice little grab and go spot with pretty cheap burgers and sides, they have wooden tables outside you can stand at to eat. I ordered a cheeseburger with chili, onions and mustard and a side of onion rings. Unfortunately, they got my order wrong and gave me 2 cheeseburgers that had all the toppings EXCEPT chili, which was the one thing I really wanted on the burger. The burger tasted good (Not the best I've had in North Carolina). My favorite part of the meal was the onion rings, they were very crispy and light. Overall there are better burgers in Charlotte but if you're looking for a no frills place to grab a quick burger, this is a good spot.

Came to checkout this local favorite Charlotte spot in Noda. Delicious burgers, fresh meat, tasty fries and friendly staff; service was quick and the outdoors was very clean. (Sweet tea was amazing) Definitely coming back for the hotdogs, other sides and sandwiches. THEY ACCEPT CASH ONLY and OUTDOORS ONLY.

Are there other great burgers in town and in surrounding counties... YES!!! BROOKS BROTHER'S is a Native shrine that demands a regular sojourn but just long enough away to maintain the exquisite flavor that I get fired up for so... had one Friday...

Very good! I decided to try this while I can. I got a loaded double cheeseburger for $10.60. It’s not cheap, but worth it. Fast & good customer service.

Good buger place. One of Charlotte's home grown places. Had a cheese burger, and a chilli dog with fries. Nicely seasoned all made to order.

Love a dive spot and this sure is one. Very friendly, young workers. Wedge fries were good. The oil could have been hotter as they were a bit soggy. They'd have been awesome if they were a bit more crispy. The burger had a good taste. I didn't go all the way as I don't care for chili on my burger. I don't know if I'd call it the best burger in Charlotte but I'm glad I tried it. It's what I call a southern burger - skinny Patty. The patty alone has a great taste. The building is dirty and everything including the ketchup packets are greasy (like most dives, so I didn't let it bother me) Overall, I'd go back but won't go out of my way to get there. Worth a visit for sure. I also think it may have been more fun on a sunny day. They have outside eating.

Honestly one of the BEST BURGERS and fries we have ever tried!?! I'm talking worldwide the best!! This sandwich house is DELICIOUS! 😋 Definitely a must-try if you are in/around the area! The chili nachos are also a hit! I highly recommend! 🍔✨

TAKE CASH- they don’t accept any thing else. And the ATM there is $2.50. -Okay- now Great service! Kinda pricey though. The taste must be on point because they have been around for a long time and not once that I can remember have been on the news for low food grade. I loved the open - STANDING- waiting space and easy ordering process too. I got 3 beef hotdogs - all the way and a flounder sandwich. That came up to $18. & a 11 minutes wait time. Again, not bad at all. If my guys like the food, I’ll definitely return for more!

Hasn’t been good for years unfortunately. People make a big deal of it, but the burgers are mediocre and way overpriced. The food was generic, so not sure why they increased prices like it was some sort of premium product. Cash only is a great way to avoid taxes, which is annoying. The 50th anniversary I took a friend who had never been, everything was cooked earlier that morning and sloppily assembled. Burger was barely warm and dry. You better off eating at a fast food chain. Selling the land is probably a good idea to exit. There’s way better places for burgers in Charlotte. I’ve been multiple times over the years and it slowly got worse, then definitely dropped off in recent years. Looking forward to the next garbage development to pop up in the neighborhood in its place.

I'm not really a burger connoisseur but I had to try this place because I've heard so much about it. It's billed as one of the best burger joints in Charlotte, a long standing establishment. It's take out only and you can either sit in your car and eat or stand under one of their shelters to eat. It's a no frills joints, all about the burger. I got the double bacon burger. It was good. I enjoyed the experience. IG: cltfooddrinkguy

Reader's Digest just rated this as the best burger in NC. I got the double cheeseburger with "everything" minus tomatoes. It's a real good burger but absolutely not the best in NC. Slightly over-salted patties, fries and onion rings are very conservative portions, onion rings especially. I was slightly disappointed. I could name a slew of burgers that hit harder at similar pricing.

Saw this hidden gem on TikTok and glad that I did. Food was delicious and worth the 20 minute wait which is expected when you're getting fresh cooked food. I like the fact that the chilli was not runny or loose like most places. Only gripe I have is that they are only open Monday - Friday but as a family owned business I respect the scheduling to allow everyone to spend time with their families. So if you work a normal 9-5 and able to squeeze in the commute then definitely check this place out.

This place has one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Definitely in the Top 5. I got the Double Cheeseburger with bacon and “everything” with an order of Chili Cheese Fries. This was incredibly affordable and very tasty. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Charlotte!

Single best burger I've ever had, and I'm literally on a road trip to find the best one. I only hope this place sticks around because it looks like the neighborhood is being gentrified. Make sure to try this place while you can!

Enjoyed my first visit to this iconic sandwich shop. The Double bacon cheeseburger was incredible!! Great food, good service. Worth the 15 minute wait. They were out of their classic chili. Will be back again for sure!!

This business not only has good food but they're good people. Google them. But this is about the food and their burger is one of the best in Charlotte. The chilli is great on the burgers or hotdogs. They only take cash so stop at your bank and grab some cash. If you don't, don't worry they have an ATM machine on site. I'd also recommend you order in advance. I've waited a while before. Since Brooks is a walk up, there's no standing or sitting inside. They have covered picnic tables. I ordered in advance and when I arrived, I waited about 2 minutes to get my food. I've eaten everywhere in Noda and this burger spot is better than all of them. The spots you're thinking about over there are hype. Brooks keeps it simple and is the real deal.

A blast from the past. Good ol burgers “all the way” & lays chips. Cash only. Picnic style. Such a cool iconic Charlotte spot.

OMG! The double cheese burger (all the way) was fantastic! It is so large I split it with my wife and it was enough for both of us. We also split the chili cheese fries. Their sweet tea is very good.

Been wanting to try Brooks for about 7/8 years. Finally did and glad. Very good burger and awesome fries. Really neat place and unique. Highly recommend the experience. Thx, KW Speed!!!

Here’s the good news: it’s a killer cheeseburger on a soft bun that holds up, and fried potato wedges that are salted properly!!! Standing at a picnic table under a tree on a sunny day having lunch IS AWESOME!!! The experience is worth it. Now, I got a cheeseburger “with the works,” and honestly, it was okay. I expect enough chili sauce on my burger to drip down my arm at least a little bit. I expected it to be loaded with enough chili to taste it and even need an extra napkin. But that’s not this place. So I went with the wrong expectations, and for that I don’t want to take away from my review.
