I always stop by Cabo Fish Taco when visiting or passing NC. It’s just that good. Affordable, delicious and most importantly their vibes are just a killer. They offer good variety of tacos with unique flavors. Love their drinks, too, it complements the food flawlessly.

Love the way Cabo prepares/serves its tortilla shells!! The grilled mahi mahi and the grilled salmon tacos were amazing. My wife REALLY enjoyed the beer-battered tofu taco. There's definitely something for everyone here at Cabo and the service can only be described as "southern style friendly".

Absolutely amazing spot. The tacos are unmatched! Delicious, jam packed full of protein, and incredibly tasty! I can’t wait to return and try more of this incredible menu! Great energy, vibe, and service too!

We stopped in on our way to Winston-Salem and had a pleasant experience. This is the flagship restaurant in NoDa. We were not super excited with the food we ordered but we were not disappointed either. We ordered the salsa trio and I was expecting to see chunky salsas with pineapple and mango chunks or tomatillo tomato bits but it was puréed. The roasted red tomato salsa tasted like marinara. The green tomatillo salsa was ok. We added hot sauce to each. We also ordered and shared a steak fajita. The steak was cut into tiny bird size pieces like it belonged in a burrito or taco, and the peppers and onions were sparse. We liked the tortillas but were disappointed in the lack of steak and fresh veggies. Overall I would go back and perhaps try one of the fish specialties. Service was good and the IPA was excellent.

Delicious! I came for lunch. Lots of options. The salads are a little expensive imo. Their drinks are delicious as well! I really like their salsa they bring out with chips. Has corn, etc in it.. Not like other restaurants.

This was not my first time eating here. And I can honestly say that the experience is consistent every... single...time. We arrived early on a Friday evening and were promptly seated. In fact, it took way longer for us to find parking than it did to get a table. Our waitress was patient and attentive throughout our visit. She was also knowledgeable about the menu as well as dietary restrictions (gluten-free). We took her suggestion about mixing and matching to try different tacos. Our food came out very quickly. All of our orders were prepared exactly as requested. The portions are generous and the food was flavorful. Just a few warnings: the complimentary salsa is a bit on the spicy side. The Honey Wasabi Sauce on the Tavarua tacos was a little heavy but I survived. If I had to take off for anything, it would be the ambiance. It's pretty dark which made it difficult to take good photos. And it was also very loud. Pro-tip: Sign up for their rewards program to earn points for visits. There is also a restaurant app.

I've lived in Charlotte for 9 years and have only visited this place once. Honestly I was not pressed to go back. A friend wanted to grab tacos on a Wednesday night so we went. We arrived around 7:45 and the place was not packed. We decided to sit at the bar. The Tequila selections were skimp (I assume due to the shortage). Brandon worked the bar. He was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. I ordered The Lemon Grilled Shrimp and Soy Ginger Shrimp Tacos. My friend ordered the BBQ Mahi and Soy Ginger Shrimp Taco as well. My side of choice was mashed potatoes. I must say I was very impressed. It was so good! Let's just say I wont wait another 5+ years to visit again. I will be putting this place in my regular rotation.

Cool, Funky, and great vibe at Cabo Fish Taco. Chips and Salsa was delicious. Salsa had a nice little kick. Washed down with a cold brew, a great way to start. Fish and Shrimp tacos were superb. Tasty, and the fixins were delicious 😋. Excellent service from an outstanding staff.

Second time coming to this establishment! Loved it even more than the first time. Was greeted and seated immediately! Was viewing the menu (per QR code on the table) and our server Jeremy came over with such great energy. His energy matched the Baja vibes of the place which I loved. He told us about the daily special and how you can mix and match tacos. My two tacos were the special - the Island fry taco along with the Tavarua Tuna taco with a side of the Jalapeño Cheddar Mashers and a Top Shelf Silver Surfer drink. My partner had the BBQ Mahi Mahi and the Calamari Fritos Taco. The food came quickly and was fresh and hot! Amazing is not the word! I love this place! I think I’d drive the four and a half from my home just to come here again!

Honestly just not my style of Mexican. It's more texmex than Mexican or American style Mexican. The foods okay nothing to brag about portions are okay some of the offerings are overpriced for the portion. This time we got the salmon and shrimp and they were better than other dishes I've tried in the past. The table we got sat at wasn't clean. Our waiter didn't really check on us so I didn't even get a water refill.

I love this place. The flavor spectrum is as wide as it is deep. So, so delicious. Go here, eat here, stay and eat some more.

Wonderful establishment, fast and friendly service. Has a good amount of space for seating, went around 5pm on a Saturday and got a spot right away. Drinks are very good and the food is equally great with a good size portion that I left satisfied. Highly recommend.

Bar stools were super uncomfortable, food was ok but a lot spicier without a heads up in the menu which resulted in my wife not being able to eat the meal she ordered. Service was decent and the staff were nice which is the biggest reason for 3 stars instead of lower.

This is hands down the best taco joint, and that says something when there are tacos everywhere. I have never had a bad meal here over the last two decades. This time I had salmon and calamari tacos, both amazing. The margaritas are killer too. comida fantastica!

I've been hearing about his place for the longest and when I went I see why everyone told me to go to the OG location in NoDa! This place is great! The staff is cool, the vibes are awesome, and the food? ON Point!🤤 I ordered the Rasta Pasta with the Baja Shrimp and Crab dip...🤦🏽‍♂️ Sooo Good! Definitely my favorite! For drinks I grabbed the frozen Blueberry 🫐 Margarita! I will definitely visit again and again! IG: @Rah.Giovanny

Cabo Fish Taco is one of Charlotte's heralded restaurants that's still around. They serve good tacos and have the classic assortment of huge flavored margaritas. I had some solid tacos based on our waitresses recommendation. My one warning would be to use caution if you order anything blackened, as it was almost hard to eat. Other than that, the food was delicious and the vibe was great and it is located in a cool area on the main part of NoDa, so I would definitely recommend a visit.

Came in for lunch, and informed the waiter of my severe food allergies to egg and peanut, and ordered the specials, which the kitchen said were safe. They come out, and one of the tacos had an unlisted item- white slaw. I asked the waiter about it, and after multiple times of him asking the kitchen, they then informed him that it indeed did have eggs. I was promptly given a replacement taco that was safe.

Its Cabo fish tacos. I have been here more than 10 times. It a 7 minute walk. You can never go wrong. They have the chefs special tacos on the board everyday and thats what I usually get. Their carne asada taco is some of the best I ever had.

Seafood is not fresh. If you are a seafood lover like I am then you would want to avoid this place. It’s hard to find good seafood in Charlotte being that we aren’t by the coast & I was hoping great things from this place but I couldn’t even finish my food. I ordered the flavorless calamari which doesn’t come with your traditional marinara dip it is more like a weak salsa taste with hardly any flavor or spice. & the beer battered fish tacos tasted disgusting. No beer batter flavor & it was small bites of battered fish instead of a full filet. Also no flavor or seasoning. Cheddar mash was basic. Shrimp & crab dip tasted great but I doubt any crab meat was only there if so it’s was a pinch. Only get two stars due to their manager being so helpful when i called about the bad experience on the 21st. She was super friendly & empathetic about my experience.

Cabo Fish Taco is a uniquely themed establishment, offering a desert Western ambiance. They provide both indoor and outdoor seating. In addition to their regular menu items, they offer daily specials, which I recommend trying at least one of. During my visit, I ordered two tacos: one with soy ginger salmon and wasabi, and another with buffalo shrimp, accompanied by a side of spicy mashed potatoes. Regrettably, the food did not meet my expectations. The salmon taco left much to be desired, and I ended up removing the salmon from it. The buffalo shrimp taco, despite being a specialty item, was only mediocre. As for the side of mashed potatoes, I recommend requesting the jalapeños on the side if you order it. I had assumed they would be mixed in, but to my surprise, there was a substantial pile of chopped jalapeños on top. In conclusion, I am inclined to say that I probably won't return to Cabo Fish Taco based on my dining experience.

Went to this place for lunch on Sunday. It was dead not many customers inside. We decided to sit out side it was chilly, They have heaters, but we not turned on. would have been nice to feel some heat. Staff took a while to come ask for a drink order. We got margaritas, they were good. Chips and salsa were brought to the table, and the chips were stale. Not great at all. Ordered the crab dip and pita bread it was warm and the best thing we got. Tasted great. My girlfriend got two tacos, the calamari and a chicken one. She ate the filling from both the tortillas, where funky not the best taste. I got the chicken taco salad, and it was ok. I would not get it again. Overall, I would say it was a good experience. I would say the place has gone downhill from the past. I used to like the food and the vibe, but there are too many places to try in Noda. I would say to pass on this place. Don't go if you do tell them The Review Guru Sent ya! Good luck if you go!

I've loved in the Charlotte for way too long to have not been to Cabo Fish Taco. I hear mixed reviews... either folks raving over it or being less than impressed. I was hoping for more, especially considering the prices, but I see why those who like it, love it! The flavors were lacking a bit on the meat, but the veggies were extremely tasty!

Some of the best tacos we've had! We had the honey glazed salmon and the BBQ Mahi Mahi ones..The mango wheat beer totally hit the spot!! Would love to come back again for the other items on the menu. Service was quick and friendly!

Was recommended this place by a friend and it did not disappoint! Everything on the menu looked good- it was hard to make a choice! We loved the complimentary corn salsa, ordered the Shrimp & Crab dip to start and were in love! Our dishes, the BBQ mahi-mahi tacos & Burrito Verde w/ sides were so good! We were full and happy leaving :)

Service is attentive and friendly, great neighborhood/location. Ordered the barbecue salmon tacos and they were just okay. Good portion of protein, but a bit over cooked. Rice and beans were okay. Love that they give complimentary chips and salsa once seated

We had the signature dishes : beer batter shrimp and beer batter white fish.. I loved the shrimp taco 😍👍 Personally, the white fish could have a little more of the seasoning.. Lunch hour gets this place really packed. So, you may have to wait a little while and they'll message you when they have a table.

👍👍 Skeptical. I visited this place because of a research on brunch places in downtown. Ended here because of the Google rating. Almost Worth it! The Italian sausage hash was really good. But my spouse ordered an avocado toast and it lacked flavor. Also, the coffee was legit; really good! Also ordere...
