My
wife
and
another
couple
went
to
the
Palm
Restaurant
on
Saturday
11/5.
We
were
celebrating
an
anniversary
and
two
birthdays.
The
restaurant
was
busy
but
the
staff
seemed
appropriately
sized
for
the
evening.
Our
meal
was
$545
+
a
$120
tip.
This
was
mine
and
my
wife's
first
time
at
the
restaurant.
Our
waiter
was
friendly
and
helpful.
The
food
was
not
what
I
expected
for
a
pricey
restaurant.
My
wife
and
I
ordered
the
porterhouse
steak
to
share
(36
oz
at
$149).
The
steak
was
ordered
medium
rare
and
was
delivered
to
the
table
cooked
about
right.
However,
the
steak
was
almost
cool
to
the
touch
like
it
sat
out
for
too
long.
We
told
the
waiter
and
he
took
the
steak
back
to
the
kitchen
and
where
it
was
seared
again.
When
it
was
returned,
it
was
nice
and
hot
but
the
overall
quality
was
just
ok.
Not
what
I
would
expect
for
an
expensive
steak.
The
Tuscan
beans
should
have
been
served
with
a
slotted
spoon
otherwise
you
risked
mixing
bean
juice
with
a
steak.
The
waiter
and
another
staff
person
did
ask
if
we
wanted
to
refresh
our
shareables
and
I
thought
that
was
a
nice
gesture
given
the
delay
in
our
steak.
We
declined
and
In
lieu
of
that,
the
waiter
brought
two
cheesecakes
to
the
table.
We
had
these
boxed
and
ate
them
the
following
day.
Again,
for
a
pricey
restaurant
I
would
have
expected
a
very
delicious
cheesecake
but
unfortunately
it
was
not.
All
in
all,
the
atmosphere
was
nice
but
I
would
have
rather
chosen
another
restaurant
for
the
evening.
Why
a
1
star
rating?
I
gave
the
restaurant
a
1
star
rating
because
there
are
so
many
choices
in
Charlotte
for
this
price
range.
The
food
needs
to
be
on
point.
There
are
so
many
restaurants
at
lower
price
points
that
kill
it
day
in
and
day
out,
and
I
would
be
doing
them
a
disservice
if
I
gave
any
more
stars.
