A very unique place! We were coming down to shop in a market for Mediterranean foods, and we did a pitstop to walk in uptown for a bit. My husband noticed a few people coming out of Latta arcade so we were curious and walked in. This reminds me of the arcade up in Asheville and it’s also a historical building. My husband picked up some pizza from “pie in the sky” just to snack on and I noticed several businesses in Latta Arcade that I’d like to visit the next time I am in the area. To experience a bit of history, support some local business-this is a great place to stop by the next time you’re in uptown. Have a look at my other reviews. I’m about to post about the beautiful green park that is near the old Catholic Church-right in the middle of everything!

The arcade all the way down to the French quarter feel like a little piece of Europe. Housed in one of our historical buildings not yet to be torn down you can find salons, coffee and tea to CBD products. Bars, Indian and Vietnamese cuisine, a Viking bar, just to name a few. You can definitely make a day/night trying out each one.

Love Potbellies. I’m from Chicago so having one in Charlotte was very very good news to hear. The food is pretty darn good and the service is excellent too. I recommend getting the meatball sandwich with extra sauce. You will not regret it.

Edit - 7/10/18 This location has fallen off completely. Today’s Monterey wrap was not prepared as requested, was sloppily our together & cut unevenly. The side salad was drenched in dressing. I won’t be visiting this location anymore! Sloppy food & overpriced don’t mix! Original review: Monterey wrap is great. Always call ahead for quick service cause it gets busy around lunchtime, although they started charging a fee for call ins.

Interesting spot with a mixture of shops and restaurants. I come here for a quick lunch and be ready for a long line during peak times. I also go to the barbershop here. Ty is the best and does a great fade and cut!

Good: Not too crowded. The wait was short. Downtown view from this rooftop bar was nice. Odd-but-okay: Veuve Clicquot signage abounded, and no visible explanation. Not-so-good: Speakers were almost everywhere, making it hard to have a conversation with four people. No cocktail waitress ever asked us about refills.

It's nice. A wide variety of restaurants. I think a few didn't open back up after people started returning to the office but I hope to see a few more soon. If you go before or after the lunch crowd there will be shorter lines and shorter wait times. The pho place just outside of the arcade is delicious, even with their pared down menu. I don't think you'll be disappointed no matter which restaurant you visit.

Come on Crisp....ordered the steak salad and asked for croutons....get back to my office and...NO croutons, NO grilled onions like the descriptions states (there were cold, uncooked onions- gross). Disappointing at best. The best part was that it was at 2pm so I was the only person in there...no reason to not get it right.

Cool spot. SUPER busy on game days, so if you're worried about COVID, don't even consider it. But, it was an awesome spot.

Much smaller version of MacDougal St. of New York, multiple cuisines, good beer and a nice little street to hang out. Definitely going back.

Can't go wrong with the offerings here. From pizza to poké bowls and even some great hand crafted treats, all bases are covered.

This was a cool spot. We called it "restaurant alley" so many different choices of food. This is definitely the spot to go

I have had their mediterranean cold sandwich and their new baguette. The portions of these sandwiches are satisfactory and you feel full after eating healthy food. Their mango yogurt smoothie is my favourite drink and i buy them whenever I am there.

Cool complex looks like a little hall with food and bars. There's even shoe polish which kind of made it felt old schooled because I see that rarely. There's even a barber shop in here. If you entered from S Tryon St opens to an alley with bars, CBD stores and more restaurants. Would come back to try something more.

Just grabbed a late lunch here. Bought four different empanadas to try for a first run and they were all very good. All three of the meat options were spot on with consistency/flavors/freshness. The guava and cheese was perfect, not sure I could avoid getting one of those on every visit. Only posting this because I can’t stop thinking about it.

This food was so good. Fresh and tasty. The crew was quick to make my meal as it was lunchtime, and I had to get back to work. Thanks team, for a great experience!

We live half a block away. We wish places were open later and definitely wish they were open on the weekends. Unless you work down here, there's really no point in thinking about going. It's very disappointing. We don't work near here and wish that we had more opportunity to visit the establishments inside.

Whew!!! The beans and rice were KILLER!!!! I had the spinach empanada - made from scratch and heated in an oven right in front of your face rather than deep fried. It was delicious. I could have eaten 15 of them!!!! The crust was perfect, not too thick or heavy, just enough to hold the contents and very soft and chewy. Much cleaner than other empanadas I've had. Great customer service; very friendly. Neat watching a woman in the front window actually making empanadas on a table. Delicious and inexpensive and satisfying. Wish there were more vegetarian options, but I certainly enjoyed the ones I tried.

The chick calling out orders is beyond rude and I will not ever return. I placed my order for a salmon salad I waited patiently as there were about 6 people ahead of me. All those people left, then I notice that people who ordered salmon AFTER me were leaving as well. I asked her what was going on and she got an attitude and startee yelling. Saying salmon takea longer...besides the fact that it doesn't, i dont appreciate being yelled at. My salad came up and ahe proceeds to tell me that if Im in a rush, order something else. EXCUSE ME? not only was I Not in a rush or rushing the staff. Im simply checking on the status of my lunch. Its lunchtime, if she gets frazzled over something that simple she clearly isnt equipped for such a simplistic task as calling out lunch orders 🙄 ***To add to this... my salad is SWIMMING in dressing*** gross

I've been dying to find a new spot ever since I moved from Texas. And I have to admit this place is superb in all areas. I would definitely come back. And I highly recommend it to any foodies out there :)

This place has gone horribly downhill in a very short time. When I went today, there were multiple people in front of me in line that were provided the wrong lunch. When I returned to my desk, I found that I also got the wrong order. This has happened in the past, but seems to have increased greatly recently. When I try to call their number, no one answers. When I try to email the address on their website, it returned it and said mailbox full. THEY DO NOT CARE, so why would I care about giving them any more money!!! Stupidly went back 11/8/19 as I wanted a salad...this time there was a metal bar in my salad. Took it back and they refunded my $, but they couldn’t have cared less. Stay away!!

Definitely a hit or miss place. Last time I had the veggie wrap and it was awesome as was the pasta salad side. This time I had the grilled salmon salad and it had sooo much dressing I was literally pouring it out of the container. Service is usually pretty good and quick at least.

My go-to is the Monterey wrap. Great stuff. Line gets long by 11:45, but the food is fabulous.

Burnt Salmon and 2 girl at the register are horrible. I have been grabbing the same Caesar salad with salmon and shrimp for the last year from the uptown location. Today the salmon on the salad taste burnt. Upon returning to have the salad remade the 2 girl (1 with dark hair other with blond wearing glasses) was rude. They spoke to me as if I was not familiar with how the salad should be prepared and presented. Keep in mind I eat this same salad at least 3 days a week. I requested to have chicken in the place of salmon and was asked did I know the difference between grill marks and burn marks because the chicken may have those. These are not cheap salad to be treated this way. If a salad is not prepared correctly the establishment should be will to remake without a question. I requested to speak with a manager and was told the location don’t have any management. When asked for the owner information the blond with the glasses stated “Do you give out your bosses contact information?” I replied: Yes, I surely do. I will not recommend this place to anyone nor will I frequent this establishment.

👍👍 Skeptical. I visited this place because of a research on brunch places in downtown. Ended here because of the Google rating. Almost Worth it! The Italian sausage hash was really good.
