We stumbled upon this one day when we visited the Target in Midtown after spending the day in Charlotte. My husband found it and took a walk while I finished my shopping. He brought me and I loved it. It reminds me of Central Park in some ways. Take a drive & just walk. Enjoy the nature. Read about the history. So interesting! I’ll be sharing this with my neighbors in Davidson. What a neat hidden treasure. If you ever visited the Trader Joe’s you were only steps away…..

Great place to go for a walk/run. The pathway follows along a creek. There are multiple parking lots along the trail. It is well maintained. Very pretty views along the trail. There are water fountains, statues, landscapes, and more. Would recommend this to anyone that would like to get some exercise in, take the kids on a walk, or get some peace and quiet.

This is a wonderful hike running from Cordelia Park right up to i-485, essentially traversing the city of Charlotte. What’s wonderful is that you can choose to hike a part of it with multiple entrances(and parking is available at those entrances) and still be rewarded for the spectacular views of the Queen City. We did the part of the hike near Metropolitan avenue in uptown Charlotte on a precariously sunny Saturday morning. This section of the hike begins near Metropolitan avenue, and some street parking is available near the entrance. The hike itself is quite easy, and along the hike you’ll find various plants, statues of people who contributed to the growth of Charlotte and also about the sculptors who designed those statues. It was quite intriguing to know about Charlotte’s history. The Little Sugar Creek runs alongside the trail and is a nice companion on the hike. It was good to read about the preservation efforts ongoing for the creatures in the creek. It’s a well-maintained trail and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a hike or a run or a bike ride in Charlotte.

This park is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by nature. There plenty of options for the entire family: walking, jogging, hiking, outdoor sports or simply stretch and relaxing. Exploring the little creek is another great options for the little ones ;0) 💯% recommended 👍

Best combination of urban and green trail near uptown. The beauty starts from freedom park and goes from midtown Charlotte. Very scenic and mood enhancer walk, jogging, biking whatever you do will be awesome.

Urban trail but you would never know it. The trail connects to several other urban trails. You can hike this all thru charlotte to pineville and ballantine.

Very nice landscaped trail. Be aware that there's a detour scheduled until Spring 2024 that makes it a lot shorter unless you are willing to take the sidewalk that requires crossing a traffic intersection or go back and forth. Also I followed the Google Map directions to get there, but the finish point is a commercial area with barely any parking. There was a better area to start the walk where there is more parking, so look at path on the map to find it. The trail was clean, safe (so a platoon of bike police officers ride by at the tail end of my 1hr walk) and is popular so you will not likely be alone in the trail.

A lovely place for speechless reflection. A social hotspot to walk, bike, bench set , run, admire nature,or walk your dog on paved trails and walkways. Once complete, the greenway will feature over 19 miles of trails and land connectors, from Toby Creek Greenway on North Tryon Street to Cordelia Park just north of uptown. The greenway will continue through the urban section and on to the South Carolina state line, conveniently linking Central Piedmont Community College, Carolina Healthcare System, and the Park Road and Carolina Place shopping areas among many other destinations There are amazing views along the way with water features, statues, birds, and fish. There are many beautiful trees, shrubs and pleasant smelling flowers along the way such as Pink Mimosa trees, Japanese honeysuckle, and the beautiful scent of fragrantly pleasant scent of fresh gardenia blooms.

We bought a couple Velotric e-bikes and searched for a fun place to ride in Charlotte, Little Sugar creek allows us to go from the beginning trail head right into the City of Charlotte. The bike trails are all smooth pavement, from one end and into the city round trip is 36 miles, so much exploring and fun. Highly recommend

Nice peaceful ride. Although the trail is quite busy, it is easy to navigate the traffic of bikers, skateboarders, and walkers/runners. Can’t wait until they extend this and connect more of the Greenway together. Wish there were some places to eat or drink along the way.

It was a beautiful night for a walk in Charlotte. I love visiting to see the night skyline and the view from the Greenway was perfect! There are so many restaurants close by and many things to do. I would love to bring my bicycle next time to enjoy the convenience of this path.

Beautiful! Long and quiet. A great place to walk and run. Many people bike it but it is a little tight. Takes you all the way to Freedom Park. Favorite greenway thus far!

This is probably my favorite greenway in Charlotte (along with many others). Previously, I've biked from Freedom Park to Elizabeth. It's a long greenway—there are a couple of awkward spots where it breaks but it goes a lot longer than that. Last weekend we were getting takeout in Midtown and decided to walk the greenway for a bit before along Kings Drive. Usually the greenway is crowded. It wasn't too bad when we were there. It was a little more crowded than I would have liked, but we mostly managed to avoid people. If you haven't checked out this beautiful greenway, it's definitely worth it!

Had a great time at the Art Festival on LSCG. Great vendors and beautiful Greenway.

Nice idea. I use some. The greenway trail runs though lots of different landscapes, from somewhat secluded to urban and open. In places its nice for walking or jogging, but you cannot be casual about it. Bicycle riders and other wheeled people (on rare occasion a motorized one) present hazards to the walkers that one needs to look out for, particularly in the very narrow sections in the more urban areas. This is a long term project and if the money continues to flow, it should get better.

The Green way is probably one of the best parts about Charlotte. Great for taking a walk, run, or bike ride. Plenty of beautiful spots to see. Dogs love it too!
