Great place for getting outside and communing with nature. The mountain bike trails are fun and exciting, and accessible for all levels (except for a few obstacles/challenges). I love taking family out for walks along the main trails. This is one of my favorite places in Charlotte. I feel blessed to live so close

Great trail. Took my 9 yr old there. There's definitely harder parts but he was able to manage or go around the extreme obstacles. The trail is super long which is great for hours of riding. It is definitely worth visiting

I went for the morning trail at Sherman Branch Mountain hiking trail. It was a nice trail with the beautiful lake at the end. This is a nice trail for mountain biking and many people were biking on it. The trail is a easy hike which goes through woods and has a beautiful lake at the end.

What a trail! Incredibly fun to ride. Flow sections are fun and the features are a hoot. Careful on that second wood drop on main loop, it will bite you if youโ€™re not on top of your game!

Pound for pound best trail in Charlotte area. Small drops and some black diamond deck drops give you a lot of confidence to hit the medium rolling jumps. Short climbs for high payoff, never got completely gasses and rode over 10 miles. My favorite trail by a mile. Great berms tacky dirt, very well made and maintained over all.

One of my favorite mountain biking trails in east Charlotte off I-485. I highly recommend for MTBers of any skill level. Total mileage for riding Main, Roller Coaster, and Lake Loop is just over 10-miles. The entire ride for advanced riders can take around an hour. For beginners and slower riders, it can take up to 1:45. So, please make sure you allow plenty of time since park rangers are strict and will close the park gate when the park closes. Also, please be respectful of others on the trail. Not everyone is a fast rider. Properly communicate with slower riders ahead of you so they will move over to let you pass.

I rode here for the first time with my 10yr old. It was great fun for both of us, this place has great trails for beginners and intermediate riders, some black diamond as well. The parking lot fills up on weekends but the place is so big that you usually feel like you're alone. Highly recommended, it's part of a 214 acre nature preserve.

Great place to get some exercise and practice turns. Not steep. Great for all levels and most bikes.

This place was AWESOME! We went foraging and found tons of awesome mushrooms! Not only that, there is a lot of paths to take and hills to climb. Overall was just awesome!

Trails are really for mountain biking only. First โ€˜nature preserveโ€™ Iโ€™ve seen like this. Luckily thereโ€™s plenty of other light hiking in the region.

A nice break from the city. The trails are great for hiking and mountain biking. The main trail would be a great place to train for trail runs. It was a hot summer day, but with all the shade it made for a cooler hike. There are port-a-pot restrooms at the parking area as well as a picnic table.

Sherman is an awesome trail for any skill level. The TC and the volunteers do a great job keeping the trail running awesome and it is definitely a trail that any beginner can conquer.

Decent mtb trail. Nothing really unique but plenty of mileage (11+) with a lot of turns. Which is why, it seems, everyoneโ€™s goal out there is to just go as fast as they can (under an hour is what most shoot for). It is definitely a good track to practice your cornering.

Great trails - did everything which turned out to be around 10 miles. Everything is marked so I didn't get lost.

Not for the novice. Tight environment, good for smaller bikes, and faster healing bodies. Otherwise good shape. Good contingent paths.

Well maintained and clean. Great place for beginners and long-time riders a like. My go-to spot for fast and flowing trails in the area. Typically, it's quite during the week. It can get a bit crowded in the parking lot on the weekends, but trails are not usually crowded. Everyone seems to be courteous and respectful on the trails. Highly recommend for any skill level of riding.

This place was great I have very little experience riding on narrow trails and through the woods. I was not wanting to get ahead of myself and get too far in and have to worry about getting back to the parking before closing. I'm giving 4 stars because The trail map doesn't have distances marked for the trails or difficulties, and the parking lot is small for the number of people that we're there. The parking lot does have a motion Sensor on it to let you out if it closes before you leaving.

Great if you're mountain biking, there are a ton of meandering trails here with a few obstacles. Not the most challenging or technical of options, but especially great if you're new to mountain biking. And the landscaping/scenery is pleasant as well. Not so great if you want to go for an outdoor walk or hike though, you have to keep a watchful eye out for the bikes zipping by.

๐Ÿซค Be careful visiting here. We stopped for about 30 minutes to check out the walk-in camp sites on a holiday weekend. It was very busy between people fishing, walking and boating. The area is nice, but we came back to a broken car window and stolen items. Apparently this happens fairly regularly h...

๐Ÿ‘ Very nice, very affordable (with fed lifetime pass) campground on Kerr Reservoir. Very clean bathrooms with ample hot water. Has laundry facilities! Many shaded, waterfront sites. Many of the better waterfront sites do not have W/E. Plenty of boat parking. We will be back!
