Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. They compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the most well known in the area. I have been staying here for years. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be disappointed. The staff is super friendly and fun. The room was clean - pretty typical hotel room. This hotel is near a lot of food/bad options and is great if you are in town for a nearby event. I did not take advantage of room service and cannot speak to the food but everything else is an A+.

I came to Charlotte with a 96 year old. It took him 20 minutes to get from the parking garage to the lobby. I don’t think a single brain cell was spent designing this hotel’s parking area. How the heck is my companion supposed to get from his car to his rooms without a heart attack? The farce then got even better. $22 a day to park in a garage you have to walk a quarter mile to reach. And get this: we went downstairs and asked where breakfast was. Lobby staff pointed us to a room and we sat down and ate at the buffet. They then billed the two of us $43. Are you kidding me? For the price we paid for the room—which I would describe as thoroughly average— we absolutely shouldn’t be paying for both parking AND breakfast, at ludicrous prices. The one good thing about this hotel was supposed to be the location, but if you’re old or otherwise handicapped then the parking garage gets a 0/10 on location. Just ridiculous.

Location is great but that’s about it unfortunately. Didn’t stop us from having a wonderful weekend trip but I would definitely never return to this hotel and I cannot recommend it to anyone who cares about getting any sleep at all. The room was fine enough, pretty standard except for a toilet that was weirdly small and a sink that didn’t drain properly, so every time you washed your face or brushed teeth, water filled up and pooled, slowly draining after a while. I would’ve complained but we were booked for only one night so I figured I’d let it go. But then… the noise. Jeez, it was ridiculous. It sounded like the windows were open all night. Every loud revving engine and loud music was like it was right next to us in bed. The noise inside was just as awful - the walls are paper thin here and everything is audible. Drunk folks were yelling until 3am in the halls and there was loud clubbing music somehow permeating into the room even though we were 10 floors up. We didn’t get a wink of sleep. The next morning we realized the breakfast was not complementary as it’s been in literally ever single other HIE I have stayed in. This was overpriced, not good, even bad coffee and cold toast. Parking was $22 which I anticipated and was fine with but did not expect the crazily poor designed parking lot to hotel entrance system. Be prepared to walk a good ways out of the parking garage. It was fine for us but I’d hate to have my young nieces or elderly family with me doing that without a warning. Overall, pretty crummy service and price point for the low quality you get and zero noise control.

We got a voucher for a room here for an overnight layover. I was without my mobility aids because I had to check them in, but I'm ambulatory, and the staff was wonderful about helping us get a room that was a kind of short walking distance. We didn't stay in one of the accessible rooms because we did not plan on showering here or staying longer than to just sleep, so I cannot comment on those rooms, but our shower still had bars and using the bathroom was easy enough. The beds were a little tall, but that was expected. Overall though, it's easy enough to get around in the hotel, just a little harder because I didn't have my aids, and the staff is great about accommodating people.

The building itself is historical. This used to be an old stock trading center. The owner and the management were very thoughtful to turn this building into a hotel in the best way possible. Yes, the rooms have some outdated items like the microwave, refrigerator, A/C, bath tub, but everything was clean and in working condition. The carpet and paint was newer. The building is made from brick, which provided extra noise isolation and warmth in the winter time. Good quality windows, blocked noise from the outside. The walls are thicker than in modern hotels. There are 3 types of curtains in the window, with one being a blackout curtain. We had 2 queen size beds in our room. They were extremely comfortable. Every bed had 4 pillows, with 2 pillows being feathered down and soft and 2 other firm polyester pillows. Pillow cases had those indications. The blankets, bedding and towels are very clean and smelled fresh. The Dove brand lotions, shampoos and conditioners (30ml or 1.01 fl oz each) had a very pleasant, soft aroma and nice design, which is unusual for hotels to have. The sink was in the hallway which was very comfortable, because if one guest is in the bathroom, the other guest doesn't need to wait for the bathroom to free up. We liked that the water was hot right away with excellent pressure, day and night. We were in other hotels where water was almost cold at night. The bathtub was of large size and the curtain in the bathroom was double and set up to be easily replaced for the next guest. The dark brown, good quality furniture with executive size table and a study, comfortable chair gave ability to work at the computer for long hours. The room had plenty of shelves, drawers, dresser, closet in the hallway with a security safe which was easily operated. There were 3 mirrors in the room with golden-silver frames, including a full size mirror where you could see yourself completely. In the room, there were 5 light fixtures with 10 lights! 3 light fixtures above the sink where you can see yourself perfectly well when shaving or applying makeup. This hotel will promise hospitality and we had an actual experience with it. To all of our questions, requests and wishes, the hotel staff went above and beyond. The staff were attentive, friendly and thoughtful. I've stayed at this hotel for the 3rd time already and I always wish to come back to this hotel because of their genuine hospitality. Another extra bonus is that the hotel is the perfect location, all restaurants withing 3-10 minutes of walk and Whole Foods grocery store within 11 minutes of walk. We found this room very comfortable, relaxing after a long day, quite and the hotel to be welcoming and inviting. I highly recommend.

American Airlines gave me a voucher for this location due to a missed connection. Front desk staff were friendly and the property was clean and orderly. The TV didn't turn on in the room. The room I was given was right above the bar/night club. I couldn't get to sleep until after the music ended. 2am approx. I had to wake up at 5:30am to catch a flight. Not much sleep for me. The shower head was about waist high and wouldn't slide up the bar and stay there. The staff were again friendly when I checked out. Next time I'll just sleep at the airport.

Staff great and room was really nice. Parking at first was a little confusing but we figured it out. Lots of food options downtown, convenient location, scooters for cruising around. No shuttle to airport but they have a taxi service they will book for you. Comfy beds, really clean and spacious.

Everything was good. Staffs were kind and the room was clean. If you have a chance to stay there, please go to the roof top place. The view from there is nice. The only thing I would complain is the parking fee. The parking tower during the weekend was quite empty, but the parking fee was $22. Overall, nice place to stay.

Bed was super comfortable. This is a great spot for a hotel. I love downtown areas. The hotel staff was awesome. Especially at midnight when you are hungry. They will make sure you eat! We had a nice room with a view of the city. Again the bed, was comfy with extra pillows for me!

The lobby and restaurant were super clean, nice, staff was very friendly and helpful. All rooms are accessible only by the elevator that requires your room card to access. The room smelled clean, and was pretty clean (not as Sparkling as I expected with the lobby, but not dirty). Bed was comfy but the blankets were kinda thin and the heat took a while to warm up. Be aware this is located on a busy street and you can definitely hear when people are revving the engine and speeding, so if that makes it hard for you to sleep, maybe see if they have ear plugs?)

Great location. Rooms and hall carpets can use some updates, but that's my only concern. Parking was convenient and affordable. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I thought rates were reasonable for an urban hotel. Convenient to everything

I recently had my wedding on 4/30/22. I just want to say from the very start to finish Jami Hill and team were absolutely amazing. There is really nothing bad I can say about this venue other than the ceilings are low but in the grand scheme of things that was the only con I could find . Jami answered every single question I had , prompt responses, she and her team went above and beyond it was truly the wedding of my dreams. If you're looking for something all inclusive, right in the heart of downtown this is your place! They provided, venue, tables, chairs, food , drinks and all of it was absolutely top tier!! I give all my thanks to this venue . I truly was the best day ever and a day my husband and I will never forget! Thanks again to The Holiday Inn Center City Charlotte, Jami Hill and her team!

I have visited this hotel many times in the past I love the location it is close to the light rail and Central to pretty much everything in downtown Charlotte and the staff is wonderful The rooms are nice however this last trip leaves me with at least one complaint, because I've always booked it in the past due to the rooftop pool and hot tub. I did not realize that they had closed these particular amenities and I am a little put out. I don't know if I'll come back. I mean it was the biggest draw for me personally everything else is fine but there are other hotels that are a little bit nicer and who still believe that good amenities are important.

The staff and front desk when I stayed in May was friendly and very helpful. The lobby was nice. Nice size room and clean. Bed spread a little worn and rugs along hallways had some stains. Very quite and in good location and hotel restaurant food was good. Would stay again.

Family of 3 stayed in a 2 dbl bed room on the 6th floor. The sink is separated from the shower / toilet. Definitely an attempt to "upscale" the look of the room, the bowl-top sink is WAY too tall for regular sized humans to use comfortably. The a/c was ice cold, the beds were comfy but just too small - not meant for 2 adults. The bathroom was small, no exhaust fan so it steamed up quickly. Would not stay there again.

Nice hotel if you're staying downtown. The room was adequate size with a desk, tv, refrigerator. Good for two people. Lots of restaurants and venues within easy walking distance. Lots of meeting areas for business meetings. Rooftop area for holding parties.

3.5 Overall - This location was about dead center of places I needed to be and wanted to go while in Charlotte. They are in the middle of some renovation and updates so know that before booking. Bedding was comfortable and the shower was nice with good water pressure. Room was adequately clean. If a third of my room wasn't a workout area (mostly a Peloton) that I definitely didn't request and the AC was up to date and worked better/quieter would have rated higher.

I had reservations for an upcoming concert that got cancelled. I called and spoke with manager Chloe who was very accommodating. Great Customer service is rare these days so I just wanted to share my experience. We will definitely rebook this hotel when the concert is rescheduled!

We stayed here while attending the LL Cool J concert at the Spectrum Center which was in walking distance so a plus. The hotel staff was very nice & professional. Also in the restaurant in the hotel had great atmosphere. The hotel room was nice & clean I just didn't like that the room door was very hard to open & close, I guess from them recently painting. The bathroom was kinda small with the sink on the outside of it, but the shower was a very nice size one with tile walls & floors.
