The check in process was smooth and quick. It was very busy at the time but they were getting people in and out. The overall decor was updated and nice. The room was clean, updated and spacious. They even left a complimentary bottle of water which I thought was nice. Water is always the first thing needed after a long trip and before a hot shower. All fees were known and applied with no issues. Parking seemed to be scarce at times but there was always a spot open. Would definitely stay here in the future.

Stayed here for a conference. The room was less than stellar. There was a large mirror that was leaning against the wall. The room was semi clean. The bathroom was another story. The floor was dirty and crusty especially in the corners. The shower was dirty and the ceiling above the shower had yellow drips coming from it along with a fan vent that had hair hanging out of it. It takes 5-10 min for the hot water to arrive. If you arenā€™t careful itā€™s so hot it will melt skin. While you shower the water temp fluctuates to hot and cool. Drinks at the bar are extremely expensive. Like stadium expensive. The roof top bar was closed during the conference which doesnā€™t make much sense. The pool was absolutely filthy and green. They drained it and wasnā€™t useable till the day we left. Why the 3 stars? Every person you encounter was absolutely friendly and helpful. The owners need to consider the location and start remodeling floor by floor. The price is not worth the location and quality of rooms.

I was first shocked by the pay to park in the hotel parking lot. $20 a night is added to your room for parking in the hotel parking lot. I brushed it off, it is a big city after all. We checked in and arrived at our room. We paid for a King room and I was shocked at how small it was. There wasnā€™t much room, the bathroom was extremely tiny. The room overall was extremely outdated. Small, cramped, and far over priced for what you are getting. The room certainly didnā€™t feel clean, either, especially after seeing bugs on a service cart on the way to the room. That same service cart remained parked there our whole weekend stay. Same dead bugs on it and all. My husband and I went to step out on our balcony by pulling on the door. The door wouldnā€™t budge. I finally called down to the front desk to find out the ā€œtrickā€ and was informed that we couldnā€™t go out on the balcony. There was a door, with a handle, a clear (albeit very dirty) balcony, but no way to utilize it? Ridiculous. I called to the front desk for extra pillows that took over 2 hours to arrive. The next morning when we went down to breakfast, I was greeted with some pastries and free coffee. I got my coffee and I was informed that the pastries, which were Sams Club quality, at best, were $5 each. Are you kidding? Just overall very disappointed. Paid far too much for a tiny, dirty, out of date room, parking that isnā€™t included, a free coffee in the morning and no way to use a balcony. I would say absolutely save your money (itā€™ll cost you quite a bit) and invest it in another, better, more up to date and fully functional Hotel in the area.

Stayed at the Sheraton while in town for the Garth Brooks concert. Upon arrival to our room, the AC was not on and it was 79 degrees in the room. The thermostat was not functional and had to place a call to the desk for maintenance to come fix it. Took about 30 minutes, but it was resolved. Went to take a shower and the water that came out of the faucet was yellow/brown. Tub took forever to drain. Had to visit 4 different floors to find an operable ice machine. While on my search, encountered numerous dead bugs in the hallways and stairwell. At one point in the night, a live roach actually crawled across the floor of our room. Unacceptable. The AC randomly stopped working several times throughout the night. Woke up sweating and uncomfortable. Parking is $25 a day. The lot next to the hotel was ā€˜fullā€™ when we arrived (noticed numerous empty spots once we got to our room), so we had to park in the deck, which is a lengthy walk through the hotel to get to the elevators. Why isnā€™t parking free, especially when you have to park so far away? Overall, the room was small and basic. Had to do a dance in the bathroom just to get around the door to the shower. Room felt dirty and dated. No fridge in room which seems like a basic amenity these days. The staff was very nice and accommodating, but for what you pay for your stay, we should not of had to experience any of the above. Will stay elsewhere next time we visit Charlotte.

Longtime Marriott enthusiast here and this particular hotel in Charlotte was super disappointing. Look at my Google reviews - I literally hate leaving a bad review! The issues: The coffeemaker water reservoir was disgusting. (See photos) Rooms do not have mini frigs The tub/shower combo in our room featured a tub that barely drained at all. The charging ports attached to the nightstand were actually gross (see photos) The TV was unplugged from the back of the tv - this is minor but all of these things are never an issue at Marriott for me, so the stay in general was vastly underwhelming. The bathroom is TINY and came fresh with a dirty toothpick? (see photos) The good: Bed & pillows SUPER COMFY. The problem is that with all the other issues, I had very little confidence in cleanliness. The check in staff was fantastic, friendly efficient AND informative-hands down the best part of this hotel!! The annoying: This particular hotel isn't spending money on upgrading/updating the rooms, yet they're offering free popcorn during the day in the lobby (which was little weird) Free coffee in the morning would be great, but the sign downstairs said coffee was included with $20 breakfast buffet. Twenty dollar coffee? Keep the popcorn, and give out coffee at the least!

Amazing really. I rate my stars based on the level of the hotel and for this type of Marriott it really is the best example of its class. Excellent check in. Very friendly and was able to get to my room a little early. Something was up with the buildings AC in the rooms and they were quick to address it. While I was waiting I enjoyed the lounge as I have Titanium status. Lounge is a nice place to get some coffee or cappuccino, water and light snacks. The room was quiet and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Internet was plenty fast. Access to the area was great. Walkable to the more busy parts of downtown but not right in the middle of the nightlife. Breakfast which was included with my rate was top notch. Buffet with real scrambled eggs, awesome bacon and a few other meats as well as fresh fruit. The coffee was great and the service was awesome. One place it could improve are the TVs which have no smart functionality, just regular cable channels you have to scroll up and down the channels in.

Substandard hotel. The first room was 80 degrees when we checked in at 7:30 pm with the thermostat set at 68 in ā€œcoolā€ mode and the vent blowing hot air. We were moved to a second room which has a little better (mid 70ā€™s) with the thermostat having absolutely no control over the actual room temperature. We should have left the hotel at this point but took a chance that the room would eventually cool down (it didnā€™t). The staff seemed to be adept at having to deal with situations using subterfuge and moderate deception; saying they will send someone up to check on the room, but not. They also conveniently failed to mention the parking fee when checking in. This is basically a lower level properly disguised as a premium hotel.

I'm pretty loyal to the Marriott brand, and was happy to see availability at what looked like a nice hotel downtown in Charlotte for a recent stay. Unfortunately, this was not a nice hotel and there were several issues. For starters, you have to pay for parking. I was aware of this beforehand and wouldn't lower my rating because of it, but this is a major downfall. Sure spending $25 a day is a steal compared to parking in many of the downtown lots, but when you're already paying $200+/night for a room, there's no reason this should be an extra charge. Also, upon leaving, when we exited the lot there was a gentleman outside with a square reader for the credit card on his phone and this is how we made payment; very insecure. Our reservation was made for a room with a king bed. We were given a room with what we thought were 2 queen beds. While not what we reserved for, we needed a place to stay and kept it. Come to find out (at bedtime), these are not queen beds; they are double beds. These are not beds made for two grown adults to sleep comfortably. There were large stains on the carpet and on the chair in the room and it's absurd that they left this chair in there for the next guest instead of swapping it out with a reserve chair (especially knowing that they charged a fee to whoever made this stain upon their checkout). The storage cabinet was all marked up. There was no mini fridge in the room although this was listed as an amenity on the website. There is no room service at this hotel either so we were left having to Uber to a local diner after our show. The fan in the room made a constant noise every 3 seconds for our entire stay. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom which makes it impossible to get ready after a shower. To look on the positive side, I will say that the staff was wonderful. Everyone that we encountered during our stay was very friendly and always had a smile on their face. They were the best part of this stay. I wish I could say otherwise, but there is no way that I'd stay at this location again in the future. There were just too many downfalls in too many different areas. They need to do serious work on preventative maintenance, and housekeeping needs to take better care in ensuring that the room is properly ready to be turned over to the next guest upon completion of their work.

My husband and I did a visit to Charlotte and thought this hotel was nice and convenient for our business trip. The check in process was great. The room however appeared to have dirty bed linen. I pulled the covers back to take another look and discovered more than just hair and stained sheets. The mattress was all stained with urine. We were in disbelief! The staff wanted to accommodate by upgrade however, I really was ready to check out permanently from hotels period. Charlotte Sheraton- I would NEVER again. I highly recommend new mattresses and waterproof protective mattress pads.Traumatized.

Tor starters we had long wait to check in. Hoursā€¦ yes they were busy for a big concert at the stadium. But they had two years notice to prepare. Service was awful. Room was very dated. Bee was comfy but we would have slept well on concrete as we had to wait another 30 minutes to check in after the concert was over. They had dozens to check in and they knew it was coming and management made no plan to cover the influx. Had two young ladies, who were nice, by themselves at the desk. Iā€™ve stayed at worse but not for the $250 rate they hosed us for. Pathetic service and poor room quality. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, great location, and wonderful staff. The rooms are very spacious and kept up-to-date, the bathrooms on the Sheraton side are huge! The meeting space for conferences has a great layout for large groups, and quick breakdown for breakout sessions. The staff is extremely helpful in every way, very friendly and everyone had a smile on their face. The rooftop bar is a nice touch and a great choice for something different. You cannot go wrong making this your choice while in Charlotte.

The hotel was nice on the inside. The king room was spacious with a large window. The only problem is that when it gets cold out or when it rains and cools down, the temperature in the room drops a good bit, even if the thermostat is set to heat at a higher temperature. The locations is nice, but the parking is a nightmare though relatively typical for any big city so just be prepared. There's two lots, a garage and a surface lot and both are priced the same (which I did not realize at first). The garage is attached to the hotel so you can walk in/out and it does include in/out privileges. Overall, pretty nice.

Hereā€™s a gem of advice: before any hotel booking, look at HoteIDuIIy.cį“m Itā€™s a game changer. First let me say thank you Hunter. He is an excellent front desk manager. He sent me an email upon our arrival to greet us and ask if we needed anything. Then he was very quick to accommodate us when we needed a late checkout. We only stayed one night, we were there for Guns and Roses concert. Hotel was about half a mile from the spectrum center. There were multiple pools: outdoor was open from 9am to 9pm and the indoor pool was open from 10am to 10pm. The hotel has access to multiple restaurants and bars on the property. We ate from the "Social Kitchen and Bar." Food was great! Also very convenient being located in the lobby and we were able to order food at 11pm. The staff: from the lady that checked us in to the bartender, were all super friendly and very knowledgeable in their areas. Room was clean and well stocked. Thank you Sheraton, we had a great stay and will definitely visit again :)

We had a pleasant stay. Check in was fast and efficient, had an issue with parking (which is not included, but costs extra even to self park). Construction around the hotel made it difficult drive around. The room was large, clean. The huge mirror in the room is a distraction. The bathroom in our room was super tiny, but it was clean. Could have used more water pressure :) The hotel is accessible, there are plenty of food options.

I pulled into the lot to turn around on the day of an expo. They charged me $10. I cannot recommend a hotel that so blatantly does a cash grab for parking. Also, when I explained that I simply wanted to turn around, the attendant noted sarcastically, "Well, you have to park, then pay. But at least it's just 10 today instead of 25." Greed, plan and simple.

This is for check in only. We were checked in by the most awesome hostess Brianna on 7/7/2023. Weā€™ve checked into 100s of hotels and at best itā€™s just mehā€¦. We were actual guest at next hotel Le Meridian, but Brianna said she would take care of usā€¦ she had us laughing and checked in no timeā€¦. Got our Marriott reward points added. Just an awesome experience, nice job!

The situation: I was here for a wedding a few weekends ago. The events were all held at the banquet facilities in the building and the adjacent Le Meridien hotel. The good: 1) The lobby in is well-designed and inviting. There's a few TVs to watch a game or you can just grab a drink at the bar next door. 2) The hospitality was good. All of the staff members that I interacted with were helpful. 3) You have access to the City Lights rooftop via the Le Meridien. The not good: 1) There's just horrible WiFi in the hotel. I could barely get 1MBPS on the WiFi, which is embarrassing in 2023. Based on past reviews, it seems like this has been an issue for years that the hotel has not bothered to fix. 2) Inconsistent renovations. Some rooms they seem to have tried to do some work in. We didn't get one of those rooms. It was gross. 3) There was the ability to charge devices via USB, but not all the ports worked. 4) A tiny room TV for a hotel that's claiming to be a 4 star hotel.
