Celeste went above and beyond helping my parents and I get acclimated with the new city. Being that I just moved here, she provided me with great recommendations along with advice to ensure I set myself up for success. I truly do not believe other hotels have staff members who go out of their way to help Charlotte feel like my new home. It was also great to connect with a fellow New Yorker. My family looks forward to staying here again for Celeste. Additionally, Manny was very welcoming whenever my mom and I walked in. He is a great conversationalist who also provided ample recommendations for my new city. Very thankful to have met both of them and look forward to seeing them again soon.

Nice hotel. They've upgraded and redesigned the rooms since we were here last. Love the addition of a big couch in the rooms. One day we had fabulous service that cleaned our room. The next day we had very weak service. They never emptied the garbage or gave us more toilet paper and we had to call down for some at midnight. We never got new plastic cups. We ate in the bar one night. Most of our food was great but my daughter got the ravioli and we're pretty sure it gave her food poisoning. My husband was the only other person to eat it and he got food poisoning as well. Everything else on our trip was shared so we're pretty sure it was the ravioli.

Beautiful hotel with a very modern and minimalist decor. As can be expected, the service was second to none. Ample parking with valet service. Extremely easy to get to and right in the heart of downtown with tons of eating and drinking establishments within walking distance. The room was sparkling clean, well appointed with all new amenities. On-site Starbucks was nice as was their onsite restaurant for breakfast. Expect to pay $$ for everything, but a very good return on value, amenities and service. Will absolutely return.

Nothing special. No continental breakfast. No fan in the bathroom for night noise. No unit in each room that can be left for fan noise so we can hear people talking and bumping around in the hall and our neighbors too.. The A/C does not get the room cold enough to use covers at night. The parking deck had no directions on how to get to the hotel entrance. Lugging our belongings from the parking deck took 3 trips with the heat index at 103 with no luggage cart offered or seen. There is a tiny table large enough for my laptop but not enough room for any papers with it and 1 chair to sit at it. 1 person at a time can sit at the table to eat or work. No microwave. The view from our window is of roofs. The valet parking guys were real gentlemen opening the doors for us. The sheets are thick and smooth. The room is clean.

This was a great hotel. I stayed here with my boyfriend for an overnight trip. Cleanest hotel I’ve ever seen. The housekeeping staff definitely do their jobs well. Super appreciative of them of doing such a great job. It smelled clean, looked clean, was close to many locations to eat and bar hop, within walking distance of several theaters and the Bank of America stadium. There are 6 elevators, quiet floors, and it’s very well marked for where to go. Rooms are very clean, it’s quiet, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. JP Charlotte is downstairs and is very good. Hak, one of the waitresses, is hilarious. Overall a great overnight trip. Thank so much!

The hotel was nice and clean but there was no comforter on this $250 a night bed. I asked for a blanket and it was almost thinner than the sheets. The duvet had an almost non-existent filler inside. But other than that it was great. The housekeeper Tonya ( with the ombre dreads) on the 14th floor was such a blessing to me and offered encouraging words in my time of need. 😘😘😘

This location was very nice and I really enjoyed my time here. The service was great and all the employees were nice. They have complimentary water in the lobby, in which when I went down at night was empty. I asked the guy at the front desk and he said if there’s none there, then they’re all out. He told me to go to the bar, in which the guy at the bar told me he’s lying, and that the place has plenty of water. I later saw a different employee in the lobby, who was very nice and chill and went and brought out a case water. I didn’t appreciate the other employee lying, and saying there were none, when he knew there were. The pillows were also extremely uncomfortable for the price that I paid, and I woke up many times throughout the night. Overall the hotel was very nice, but the pillows weren’t comfortable, and the guy at the front desk lied to me and wasted my time.

Really nice hotel! Food wasn't the best, but plenty of great restaurants within walking distance! Beautiful view of the city from my room! Super sweet front desk team! Bar staff was amazing! My coffee ladies made my Starbucks coffee ☕ to perfection 💛!

Our stay at the Westin was a wonderful stay. Self parking was not a problem at all. At the front desk, Quinton was very professional, informative and courteous. He made our check in process very easy. Also, our service requests before arriving were handled in a timely manner. Book your stay at the Westin, you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing staff! The rooms were very comfortable and everyone was extremely accommodating. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had at a hotel. This was an unplanned stay due to a flight cancellation, and I would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for the amazing stay!

The staff was amazing and very helpful/friendly. The bar was nice as well. The building itself cold use some upgrades/cleaning. Sitting in the bar, the windows were so dirty that the view of the street was severely impacted. Let's clean those so we can really see the city. The bed in room 1934, was by far the HARDEST bed I've ever slept on. I wok up to bruises on my hips from trying to get comfortable with back aches. I asked the staff who checked us out if we can get a discount for this issue but no response was given. A good night sleep is priceless so if this is important to you, I'd look to find a hotel with better bedding.

My stay at the Westin in Charlotte, NC left much to be desired. Despite having frequented numerous Marriott properties, this particular experience stands out as the least pleasant. Upon arrival, the unfriendly demeanor of the staff, particularly Diara, coupled with a delay in room readiness, set a disappointing tone. Fortunately, Simone’s assistance partially offset this initial setback. However, the most significant issue arose during checkout when I discovered an unnotified change in my rate. Initially booked under the explore rate for family and friends at $94, the final charge amounted to $209. The discrepancy, attributed to a misclassification on the form provided, identified my stay under the friend rate instead of the family rate. Curiously, I had encountered no such problem with the same form at the JW Marriott just a week prior. This unexpected rate change significantly impacted my satisfaction with the stay. I recommend the Westin improve communication regarding rate adjustments or check the explore forms right away for discrepancies to enhance the overall guest experience.

In my opinion this is one of the nicest hotels in Charlotte. The lobby is open and spacious and very pretty. The rooms are big enough and the ones own upper floors have a beautiful view of the city. It is very close to Bank of America stadium where the Panthers play. It is also close to other bars and restaurants.

Great Hotel. Roosevelt at the door absolutely made our trip. His friendliness and charisma made us feel like we were at home and was very inviting. He also provided some great food recs that were outstanding. Nice hotel with an even better staff. Roosevelt, you’re the man!

First off, the wife and I travel a bit being semi-retired and are huge fans of Westin hotels and would probably never leave them as customers. My beef is with this location only and I probably wouldn't be writing this review if it wasn't for the impersonal, canned response I received after writing the manager. This location does huge business with the attached convention center and in my opinion doesn't give a hoot about much else. Upon arrival after getting settled in I called and asked where the pool was, and was told that it required extensive repairs and wasn't open. I checked the hotels' website and nowhere was there any mention of the pool being closed. I had booked in advance 5 nights and now I have no pool. The restaurant was fine but the prices were more than the Italian Steakhouse across the street in another hotel. We leave the light on in the bathroom at night and crack the door so we can get up and see, but this sliding door was haunted because it would open mysteriously in the middle of the night. There were no grab bars in the shower. The toilet paper holder broke every time the roll was pulled. We literally begged for them to clean our room and if they couldn't why can't they at least bring up some towels? This is the most UN-Westin hotel I've had the displeasure to visit and will never step foot in there again. These people need to get back to the nuts-and-bolts of customer service because, with the advent of AI, convention centers will one day be a thing of the past. Do you honestly believe those conventioneers would stay at this hotel if they had to pay out of their own pockets? Edward and Lucy Alvarez Cedar Lake, IN

I had the WORST experience at the Westin Charlotte recently. I stayed at this hotel as I was attending a wedding and the couple asked that we stay at this hotel. Upon arrival to the hotel room, I began to Clorox wipe everything (per usual) and the surfaces were filthy. All of my wipes turned black and it was clear that no one had truly cleaned this room. There was someone's hair on the floor of the bathroom, in the shower, AND UNDER THE COMFORTER IN THE SHEETS!!! This was absolutely deplorable and I reported this to the front desk several times, yet they didn't do anything about it. My room wasn't serviced for housekeeping until after 7PM and my multiple requests to have my room cleaned thoroughly after discovering these deplorable conditions. However, their staff only took out my trash, made up the bed (with the hair still under the covers), and changed out my towels (yes, the hair was still in the shower). The room was never cleaned before or during my stay as evident by the filthy surfaces, hair in multiple places, and the toothpaste from when I brushed my teeth remaining in the sink! Additionally, the towels I received were STAINED!!!! In the COVID PANDEMIC, this was both ALARMING, UNACCEPTABLE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I checked out of this filthy room much earlier than I could have because I was so upset with this room's conditions and the staff's lack of attention and care. Upon check out, I spoke to the manager (Dominic Potts) who said he would give me 10,000 bonvoy points and adjust my bill to remove some funds as an accommodation for my experience. He said he would follow up with me after speaking with his upper management about how much would be removed. He never did. All I received were the points. I spoke with the Marriott customer service who tried to just offer the points again and only 30 dollars!!!! That was a gross undervalue of my experience in a room that was never cleaned. My bill was over $400 and they would not offer anything else. Currently, Marriott turned this back over to the Westin location and they only offered more points, which Is absolutely unacceptable and disrespectful. They never offered to move me to another room, never cleaned my room, and never refunded any of my bill. DO NOT EVER STAY AT THE WESTIN!!!! They are unprofessional, unsanitary, and liars who do not stay true to their word when it comes to customer service. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

DISGUSTING. I love Westin but this one grossed me out. They have updated rooms but I’ve never been to a hotel where there is toenails on the phone. The sheets were gross I wish the photos would show up better. There were more than a handful of hairs all in the bed and stains. IThe front desk was nice and changed my rooms but after all day of flying this is awful to have to deal with.

Before you book, ensure you are 100% sure you can make this reservation with no changes needed! After I booked, my card was charged for the entire reservation cost. They do not allow modifications, if you cancel you will not receive a refund. Front desk staff was friendly, however no one notified me of the incidental charge of $66.75 - while looking at my bank statement I found this charge. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed is firm which I loved! The bedding was just 4 flat sheets - I requested a blanket to have something a little extra (a fleece blanket was brought to my room). I was on the 10th floor, in a corner room, had two large windows and able to see uptown which was nice. The hotel is within walking distance of so much!! The shower had a rainfall shower head and a handheld, they also offer bodywash, conditioner, and shampoo which smelled so good!! I assumed a hotel of this stature would have a smart TV with apps - I was wrong. If you park your vehicle they charge $28/night.

Nice hotel! Great valet service. However i have a charge that should not be on my invoice. So far i have talked to front desk, someone on the phone, and I am still awaiting a call back. Everyone is in agreement that the charge should be taken off, however it is still there. I feel like this is unacceptable. I will have to take this up with my credit card if i dont get a response soon. It has been 5 days.

Room was really, really nice. Organization of the facility during a major concert left much to be desired. Getting in and out of the parking garage was a nightmare, lines in the lobby and elevators, one vending machine for after room service times. Management needs to get a grip. Not worth the 170 or so we paid. Of course, the room is most important and I'll give them that!!

Right downtown close to everything. Valet was super nice. Front desk staff were great. Had an issue with our digital key in the elevator and one of the cleaning people saw and helped out right away. Great rooms. We were in the 5th floor and there was a little draft from the window above our heads in the bed. Didn't really bother me though. One of our friends on the trip hurt their knee and the staff was quick to get us a wheelchair. So thankful to them.

My recent stay was nothing less than spectacular!! From the time we arrived to departure was first class! Clean and comfortable rooms. We also had lunch in the restaurant inside the hotel and it was delicious! Polite and attentive staff! I highly recommend!

The hotel did not live up to its reputation and has degraded over the last few years. The room was an average hotel room, with a couch that looked like it was left over from the 1990s, even though the hotel was built in the early 2000s. The service was also just ok. We placed our room service request on the door at about 10:30 at night, and the request said to hang it out by midnight for breakfast. It was never checked, and we waited for room service that didn't come. We then decided to make coffee with the coffee maker in the room. Apparently, no one does that at this hotel. The coffee packets provided are for regular coffee pots, but the coffee maker is for individual-sized coffees, so the coffee did not fit in the maker and could not be used. Also, the coffee packs were so old they were expired and dusty. We paid for a higher-floor room but got one less than halfway up the hotel. The room didn't come with the amenities it said it would. You have to pay for internet in addition to the 350 dollar hotel room. It's just the little things that take away from the experience. For less money, you can have better rooms, with better views of downtown at other hotels. It's not a bad hotel. The location is great, and the beds and showers are good, but it is not a great experience.

Unfortunately our stay was disappointing. We thought Westin hotels were better than this. Two stained bath towels, a white powder on the bathroom floor, and dirty ice tongs. Had contact with two employees regarding this who assured me that the director of operations would contact me when he returned from his two week vacation, but still haven’t heard from him. Our stay was December 16, 2022, and it is now January 9, 2023. Other than that, the hotel is beautiful, the staff was very nice, and the location is great.

Bad weather caused my schedule to change, prompting a late, same-day booking of my room for a very late evening arrival. This may or may not have had something to do with the lack of communication Iexperiencedthere, but it shouldn't have continued as long as it did. The maid staff never got notice of the length of my stay, which was until the following evening. Three times during the morning I was disturbed by housekeeping asking when I was going to leave. Not sure why they bothered because none of them seemed to be able to speak English. Seriously. One managed to put the words "Check out" in the form of a question. That was all she said. Then at 5:30 that afternoon yet another maid knocked on the door asking the same question, but she could actually speak and understand what I was saying. No one had recorded or passed on the info I had given all those other times. There was no TV remote in the room. I called three times, to Guest Services and the hotel operator, to try to get one delivered, but no one ever answered the phone after I let it ring for almost a minute each call. I had to go downstairs and talk to the concierge. Sure glad I didn't have a medical emergency. The room itself was very nice, as was the bathroom, but of course I didn't find out that the in-shower soap dispenser was empty until I was soaking wet. The food in the hotel restaurant was good, but I only had one meal there. Overall, the hotel was nice, and the staff was pleasant and eager to please...during the times I could find one that could speak English.

Beautiful interior ! Great place to stay! Super clean ! Top notch service! Stayed for a week. The service was good. They had readily available waters which was nice. The room appeared clean. The shower was nice 👌. The bed was comfy. The room did not have instructions for the free wifi so that was a disappointment. The valet guys were the secret source of information. Chat with them they know all the secrets and are super kind. The front desk was also helpful. Waters were frequently empty but had good luck asking. The workout facility was nice, lights were out one day. The pool was closed 😫. They have beehives on i believe floor 2 or 3 you can watch. Very cool! Great place to stay!

I travel frequently and rarely leave reviews, but the staff at this hotel is second to none! The bar staff and front desk staff were all very friendly and happy to help. My interaction with Roosevelt compelled me to leave this review. What a kind kind man! He made my morning as I waited for my ride to the airport. We need more people like him in this world-The Westin is lucky to have him!
