UPDATED-BEWARE this hotel does NOT have any security cameras in their parking lot. We stayed at this location Sunday (9-18-22) and 5 vehicles were broken into. Talking to the staff and managers, this is a consistent problem and they said they were aware of it. They are so aware of the problem that they have security, but ONLY on Friday and Saturday nights. So if you stay at this hotel on any other day, you are AT RISK! I understand that break-ins happen, but when you are aware and do NOTHING, that is not acceptable. The hotel knowing about this and not providing security is negligence. The police office that took the report told us he does these types of reports all of the time and the hotels that have cameras and security have MUCH fewer issues. Even this hotel KNOWS they have a problem because they hired security. Looks like the thieves now know there is not anything standing between them and vehicles Sunday-Thursday. So you may wonder...what did the hotel do to help? Not a thing other than an apology. The GM (Christopher) was very nice and apologetic, but said he was told to do nothing but offer assistance to the police by his supervisor. I am SHOCKED that a Hilton brand hotel would do NOTHING when they know they have a security issue. Cameras...too expensive. Security...too expensive. Guests safety...too expensive. This hotel has made a choice to NOT protect their guests. I hope the other folks who had thousands of dollars in damages will leave similar reviews. Maybe corporate will do something when occupancy falls because people know the hotel is NOT safe.

1st off, if in the area and price was right, we would return. With that said, there were lots of little things that could and should be improved. Our bed covering had a hole, and looked like a cigarette burn hole. Some wallpaper in the bathroom and halls are peeling. Desk people were not rude, but not really friendly. Rooms were small, but hey we weren't in it much. No complaints about breakfast. Beds were comfy and plenty of pillows.

This is an older hotel that is showing its age, but the service is excellent! All of the workers from front desk to the cleaning ladies were excellent! The pool area is really nice and well maintained. The breakfast and coffee were always full and well maintained. Our room showed an area on the floor where the carpet had been cut. The water was warm but never got hot.

We booked our stay online and the online service showed the dates we requested, yet were booked a day later. The on-site staff Candice, Kim, and Robyn all handled the discrepancy with professionalism and care. They made it right. Their personalities were very positive and cheerful. In addition, the accommodations were impressive - clean and well maintained. The service was top-notch.

All ok. No real complaints. Older facilities, minimal access to receptacles or USB connections. All artificial sweetener on coffee bar. Very secure. I experienced no noise issues just a distinct odor not being tobacco. I'd probably return.

Room was old and tatty. Broken lamp shade, dust on things, walls marred, several burn marks on the carpet (but was a non smoking room?!). Just overall shabby and not clean. Would not book this hotel again.

The fridge in the room i was in made terrible noise. I came to unwind.. but due to the noise, I could sleep a wink. But i must say the room and interior is okay. The tea in my room was old. If you are a tea lover, byo. I had to go to the reception to get tea. Bianca was the only staff member who met my expectations. Knowledgeable and friendly. The rest. What a Wow.. utterly disappointed. The breakfast is free but atrocious. Grab yourself tea and fruit and find your way. Payment billed twice. Location fair as it near the station. 4 minute walk.. Would I stay here again.. yes just for the 🛌

Stayed for three weeks for work first week was fine. The other two weeks were not. The lady behind the desk gave me attitude rolled her eyes at me and wouldn't answer my questions Everytime I checked in. Was on the 6th floor had to go down to the front desk to get something to drink cause they didn't have a vending machine. One guy charged me $12 for two bottles of soda.the other day I'm charged $6. elevator doors would not close all the way took them a long time to open when on the first floor. Had homeless people around My car. The say breakfast is at 6 would not be getting out till 7 or so. kept hearing sirens all though the night.

Friendly staff, helpful, and polite. The room never cooled off but I was too tired to try and switch rooms in the middle of the night. Minimal water pressure in the shower ahhhh that was disappointing, too. Front desk staff made sure to have fresh coffee made so that was a definite bonus at 5:30am when we had to leave.

We had a wonderful stay and would happily stay here again if we found ourselves in the area. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, our room was clean and updated, and I felt they had a great complimentary breakfast selection. We traveled with our daughter and they were able to provide a pack and play that looked practically brand new and I felt very safe having my child sleep in it.

Stayed for short weekend. Easy check in and check out. Great location, very close to Ikea, the University & the Outlet Mall. Rooms were clean. Fairly quiet room, didn't hear much outside noises. Their were 3 light bulbs out in my room, two in the room & one in the bathroom. We were able to get replacement bulbs pretty quickly. I, however, did not like that the fan in the AC unit could not be kept at a constant "on" position and it was loud at night.

Friendly staff, convenient location and seems recently updated. But they did not update the old air conditioners, rooms never cool off. Water never got hot in one of the rooms we rented but the pressure was low in all. And very noisy(outside), across the street from a police station.

Above average from a typical Inn. Late night check in without a reservation was handled smoothly and efficiently by the front desk staff. Bed was nice, clean and firm. Breakfast had hot eggs and lots of bacon, in addition to standard bread, bagels, waffle, cereal, yogurt, juice, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The OJ was much better than the one served at Quality Inn. Check out was simple and no hassle. Location is close to the University but a little further away from downtown

We stopped here for a quick overnight through town. I would say you get what you pay for with Hampton Inn, but it was comparable in price to others along I-85. this one happened to be in the right location for us to stop bc of time and energy. We wish we would have chosen another Hampton Inn. We travel frequently each month and mostly stay at Hilton properties. This one is older and outdated throughout. The guy at the front desk wasn’t terrible but wasn’t friendly and attentive either. The room our app assigned us wasn’t ready (10pm at night), so they must’ve not cleaned it that day. 3 other options were available on the app but in reality only 1 was available and it was right by the elevator. The hallways were loud. The guests were loud, pot was being smoked at all hours and large dogs were barking. We probably heard 5-7 sirens within the first hour of arriving. Our room didn’t have towels. The bedding was just ok. Definitely an older and very budget property. I would recommend looking elsewhere for other options first. Many of the other similar properties along the interstate were at least partially updated.

This HamptonInn met our expectations. the premises were clean new and well maintained. the room was clean and the bed was firm enough. the only issue that we encountered was that the coffee machine in the room could not be used. there is a nice walking trail nearby but the front desk could not provide clear directions.

Rooms were nice . Location was close to all of the major eateries and right off of I-85. Breakfast was the usual continental fare consisting of waffles, bacon, eggs, sausage. Bagels and bread, yogurt , fruits ,fruit drinks and coffee. Average hotel amenities and rooms. Good if you're looking for a place to stay and visit .

The employees here are amazingly kind and sweet! Every single person during my stay from the maintenance person to housekeepers and the front desk associates were simply amazing! They were patient, friendly, and they are who make this hotel amazing. There are things I can tell they are working on to upgrade and I am sure it will happen soon, but the staff is what made me appreciate my stay! And to the receptionist that took the time to look up the apartment complex next door, thank you! It worked out for my son so thank you! To Ms. S ( I do not want to misspell your name), thank you for your patience with my daughter and I.

The room did not feel clean at all. It smelled like cigarettes. The pillow cases did not look washed. There were hardly any towels in the bathroom. The hotel was not modern at all…very dated between the bathroom, hallways, curtains, and rugs. My family and I did not feel comfortable in this hotel at all. It was $153 for one night. We had stayed in a suite at a 4 star hotel in Universal Studios for $208 (not much more $) a night and it did not compare at all.

The ONLY thing acceptable about this hotel was the delightful DAYTIME staff. The room was so small I felt Claustrophobic. The carpets dirty and from 1969. Lights, vents dirty dingy. Bathroom tiny and dirty. Breakfast 🤢. For a two hundred dollar a night room I expect it too at least be updated, clean, not smell like smoke, have proper working air conditioning and have the staff respond to me when I call them about it, instead they put me on hold for ONE HOUR and never answered. I work in a Hotel/Resort and have been at my job for 5 years. My manager was with me that night as well as we were both going to see Stevie Knicks and are best friends. This ruined my whole vacation experience. I tried to be kind and talk to your staff about my issues but as you see that wasn’t even possible. The girl that checked us in was the only person I can say anything good about. I have family that works for Hilton as well and I’m just mind blown with our experience. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. And AMENITIES???? What a treadmill and fake eggs and sausage and a waffle machine with day old coffee.

This place is totally a 5-star spot. Rooms are clean, service is decent, and the price is right. It's a bit loud at night, but we had an awesome time. Plus, the rooms have a sweet view for catching the sunrise!

Hard beds. Weird smells in the room. No hot water - only warm. There were no clear signs of breakfast times during the week nor on the weekend, even though they heavily advertise about complimentary breakfast. My husband and I woke up to a HUGE bug that was crawling up the wall. That was unacceptable. For us to not have any food in the room either — having that huge bug was a serious problem. As a travel agent, I will NEVER book my clients here nor travel with my own family. Despite being a Hilton Honors member, unfortunately this franchise has disappointed me extremely & we will NEVER book here (or any Hilton) for that matter.

If I could write 0 stars I would. Before going to sleep in my room I pulled back the sheet to find there were BED BUGS. Once I saw the bugs moving in the bed I was so sick I took a video as evidence to show the front desk. When I came down to the front desk I spoke with a man who said he wouldn’t be able to give me a refund because he needed a managers approval and the manager doesn’t come in until 8am and it was currently around 1am. He gave me the operations managers card and I left because there was NO WAY I was returning to a room or hotel after seeing what I saw underneath the sheet of that bed. First I sent the video and explained the situation in an email to Candace the operations manager around 8am. At 8:14 am I called and was told she wasn’t in yet but she gets in around 8. I called back at 8:40am and reached her. I explained the terrifying situation I walked into the night before and she responded by saying she just came in and hadn’t logged into her computer yet so she would have to call me back in a few minutes. I said okay even though I was surprised she wasn’t urgently trying to help solve this issue with BED BUGS in the hotel she’s a manager of. After two hours she had not called me back so I call again. Once I reach her she tells me I’ll have to wait until Monday to SEE if I’ll get a refund or not because they have to have pest control come In. I don’t know why this gets to decide if I get a refund or not when I have video evidence of the bugs on the bed in my room. I was just in pure shock but the nonchalance attitude when we are talking about BED BUGS HERE!! This is so scary I can’t imagine how the manager here can just shrug this off and not even apologize to me. Not once did the manager say sorry for the experience or having to be exposed to this! This is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Update: the hotel NEVER contacted me about anything in regard to the refund or pest control situation. I finally decided to reach out to corporate who actually took the situation seriously and offered a refund. This has to be one of the worst Hampton inns out there. Beware.

The AC was very loud, the air was extremely dry, the fridge also made occasional noise and we heard every toilet flush of rooms on higher floors. The least we could ask for is a good night's sleep and this place failed big time. BTW, even the wifi password did not work. I definitely not recommend this place, at least until it undergoes proper renovation

I've been to my fair share of Hampton Inn's and this was near the bottom. In a busy area like Charlotte, I'd expect them to keep up with renovations a little better. Several areas of the hotel itself are showing its age as well as in our room. We had room 408 which was conveniently located right next to the elevator (no elevator noise was heard). Note that the digital key would not work with this room. The employee in the lobby tried giving me a couple new digital keys that would never work. Once I had physical keys, even they weren't wanting to work correctly half the time. Once in the room, the floors were in rough shape, the mattress was not comfortable (I thought they all had the same mattresses honestly but this one was not great), there were visible cracks and things in the walls, only one side of the bed had usable outlets, and to top it off - the handle for the water temperature in the shower was backwards. The elevator was pretty clunky. It made several interesting noises while we used it and even in the elevator there was cracked plastic over the operating license or whatever, not all the floors lit up on the display, and the sticker on the door was faded and peeling. Breakfast was just as good as other Hampton Inn's, so that was nice. The front desk staff was friendly and smiling. Parking and location were a plus, there are a lot of things close. Overall this was a disappointing stay and it could use some attention before it's beyond repair.

I visit this hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday to visit some friends in North Carolina. The service was good. No complaint there. The breakfast was okay except it was only one waffle maker which made the lives long. Otherwise it was fine but my room the sofa. The cushions were so flat and dirty looking. I was literally scared to sit on it and there was a big hole in the wall behind them main door and there were some type of things all over top of the headboard on the wall over the bed. The room just looked a little dingy

Absolute WORST experience!! The hotel is nice, great location, employees are polite, room was pretty clean. The room temperature never got below 73, I think it’s a motion sensor thermostat, water didn’t get hot.. more warm. However on Monday, the morning of checkout I was awakened by a call from the front desk apologizing and informing me sometime between 3:00-5:00am my vehicle had been broken into, that the police were here and needed me to come outside, for me to bring my id. When I get outside, I see it’s not just my truck, but multiple, ALL the 4dr pickup trucks in the parking lot had a backdoor window broken & were left with shattered glass, the contents of the consoles and glove boxes thrown everywhere as well as anything of value being taken. The employees apologized & helped sweep/vacuum the glass from our vehicles. At last count at least 5.. One hotel employee said they have security 6 days a week just not on Sundays, if that’s true then “someone” else knows this. Another employee said it used to happen a lot but it’s been a while since the last time, stated it usually happens when there’s a BIG show or event happening nearby. I guess ELTON JOHN at the Bank of America Stadium or WU TANG CLAN at the PNC didn’t classify as BIG enough to increase security or notify you at check-in, as they are admittedly aware of this problem and haven’t upped their security game, installed cameras or made any efforts to deter such acts of vandalism and destruction to guest property. I know they can’t predict the future, however admitting it’s a pretty common occurrence, knowing they have a problem, knowing when this problem is likely to occur and not informing you or improving their security protocols is not only disappointing and distasteful but shameful to say the least. I know if they’d have advised me prior to that this is a “stay at your own risk” facility, I would have stayed elsewhere. Probably the point. In hindsight and after the expense of the hotel stay itself, insurance deductibles, cleaning expenses, items stolen, the headaches and overall stress of it all, I would have gladly paid 3 times more to stay somewhere else. However I chose Hampton Inn based on my personal experience with other Hampton Inns as well as it’s reputation of being an above average establishment with higher standards. This particular Hampton Inn falls well below the bar of the quality of standards and safety I’ve come to expect and rely on when staying away from home. At check-out they apologized again, thanked me for my business and handed me my receipt.

We are diamond members so we stay in Hilton properties often. This hotel is in need of an upgrade. Our room was dark, drab and dingy. The chair in the room was so overused and dirty looking I wouldn’t use it. The number of towels that were in the room was barely enough for one person, definitely not two. The staff, however, were all delightful. TeeTee, the gal in charge of the breakfast, was the standout! She went out of her way for everyone that came into the area. Even though people arrived at clean up time, she pleasantly assisted them. The world needs more people like TeeTee. My pet peeve, being a tea drinker, is that the water in the hot water pots for tea had a residual taste of coffee. Apparently they intermingle the pots between coffee and tea, that’s a no-no and it’s definitely not good for those of us who can’t tolerate coffee. Location was convenient.
