Clean and reasonably well maintained spot. The room didn't have a microwave but there was one in the lobby. I did wish the housekeeping staff had come through at least once during a 3 night stay, but the front desk did provide refills of coffee pods and an extra blanket upon request. Overall, a nice stay.

The room looks a bit outdated with the dirty carpet. The pool was absolutely disgusting with scum and mold on the edges🤮. The lobby is very festive and there is a bar and restaurant. Breakfast is not free and you have to pay to park. That would be good info to know before you book. The beds are also pretty small, neither comfortable nor uncomfortable

I did not have a good experience at this hotel. For starters, I was not greeted or welcomed at any time during check in. There were 2 attendants at the front desk. One on the phone and the other on the computer and neither one acknowledged that I was there. After a few minutes, the attendant that was on the phone asked for my name…still no appropriate greeting. He found my name and proceeded to check me in, when the other attendant rudely told him he had to charge me an extra $40.00 for early check in. I have no problem with that, except I was right there and she could have addressed me directly. Rude is an understatement. Let’s get to the room (Room 319); where to begin… the room smelled moldy and the toilet constantly backed up making a gargling, loud sound and spewing up water. The carpets were sticky and the view was horrific! Imagine looking out the window and all you see is a trash can with a parking lot. Mind you this room was not cheap. I was there on business and paid well over $150.00. I was so exhausted from traveling and working I just went to sleep. Upon check out again (the same 2 front desk staff) I was not asked how everything was or if I enjoyed my stay, common hotel practice you would think. Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this place again. Management - please train your front desk staff. You will lose a lot of business and get a lot of bad reviews with employees who are rude to your customers. Additionally, they were not wearing badges with their names. A must for accountability.

The staff is really nice as well as the bartenders but they don't disclose a lot of information that I think a guest should know about before booking. For example, parking costs $12 PER NIGHT, they leave 2 water bottles in your room and there is note on it saying "if you open this bottle $5 will be charged to your card on file", I saw a huge cockroach in the lobby bathroom, the fire pits outside have propane tanks but all were empty so we couldn't use them, and the hotel looks sort of run down. Would not recommend.

Quiet room, comfortable bed. Upon check in was told parking would be 12 dollars, but did not see that disclosed anywhere. Room was very dark when I walked in and smelled of closed. No plastic cups in bathroom, no dirty Clothes bag. Very dusty and dirty bedside lamps, definitely not sanitized. Cannot call the restaurant from the room. Went down ordered a burger….they where out of tomato but only 3 other people were sitting there!

The Sonesta Charlotte Executive Park is a good find. It is about 15min away from airport. Shuttle service to and from airport is only for flight crew. Bummer. Check in was easy. Front desk texted once we arrived to our room to see if our room was satisfactory and if we needed anything. We had to request hand soap for our bathroom. Room layout was simple and nice. Bathroom was small. We enjoyed shower pressure. We were not informed upon check in that we had to request housecleaning services 24hrs in advance. Front desk was accommodating and squeezed in our housecleaning request same day. The hotel has a charming gym and weight area. Indoor and outdoor pool. Indoor pool warm. One big negative, the door to the room doesn't slam shut behind you. So if you are not paying attention upon entering or leaving your room, your room door can be left slightly ajar for intruders to come and go without your knowledge.

They lie about the queens size bed, it’s a double. I visit 15 hotels a month, I know what's a Queen size! With so many options around I could have gotten a same level hotel with honest double size beds for lower price. Also my refrigerator was broken and replaced when I called. Check in was a long line with only 1 person working for this huge multi floor hotel. Hidden charge added later, not mentioned beforehand - parking fee $12

Let’s start by saying the hotel is overall nice but I don’t recommend staying here if you don’t like to share your room with bugs. Between the wasp, stink bugs and whatever the little black bugs covering the top of the building. The hotel wouldn’t even move me to another room. Talking about they not have a room but I can go online and book a room. The only thing they did was call maintenance and 1hr later bugs are back.

Quality and Service at this location were substandard. We reported that the temperature in our room was uncomfortably cold for the second night. Security came and confirmed that the thermostat was inoperable. After waiting an hour, we called again to ask for a remedy. They advised us that maintenance would not be in until the next day. The front desk sent a Mattress cover(see photo) and a thin blanket when we requested extra blankets. On one occasion, we asked for clean towels and had to go to the front desk because the towels were not delivered. The room was not serviced during our stay, and we had to keep requesting services, including bath tissue. We had to check out early and stay at the nearby Hilton. The staff made no effort to rectify the situation.

I stayed here for one night after I missed my connecting flight in Charlotte. The lobby looked great but the room was just ok. Terrible lighting in the room and no microwave. No vending machine on my floor either (even though there was a sign for it). I didn’t feel like the room has been cleaned well. The worse part was the cockroach I saw run across the floor in the morning as I was getting ready. Absolutely disgusting. I would not stay here again. There's also no airport shuttle which I found quite inconvenient.

Pro: good location Cons : - the African American lady at the lobby it was so rude, and completely impolite. She talk to you like you work for her. My encounter with her were when I was check in around 6 pm on 10/23/2023 - if you book trough a third party they will charge you fee to park your car. The lady at lobby explained it to me like a punishment because i didn’t book through them, so they charge me for that reason to park the car. - room is full of bugs or bed bugs I’m not sure what kind of bugs are they by the hundreds. They are harmless I guess. But disgusting - and the worst things I was not able to sleep. Whole night I was hearing highway noises( cars/ trucks ). So if your room faces the highway then you screwed. This is the first and last time I’m going to use the hotel. I highly don’t recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel experience! Clean, spacious room, nice balcony to enjoy the views, friendly staff, absolutely delicious breakfast selections. In fact, it's so nice, I'm staying here again tomorrow night!

One would expect that a hotel that charges customers at such a high rate would have a good service, but their housekeeping is terrible. I stayed for several nights and the housekeeping never knocked on our door once. I had to call the front desk and go down 4 times to ask for new towels, remove the trash and change of bedsheets without any response. All I was told that my request was in the system. And when finally housekeeping came on day 3, they gave me new towels and took the trash without changing bedsheets. I don’t recommend.

The room floor was dirty, broken pieces glass, dry rice grains, toe nails clipping on the floor. Carpet needs to be cleaned. And the bugs all over the balcony and in the room. The lobby looks great. But the pictures for the room on the wed site are nothing but a lie. The rooms will disappoint you. Plus, there is no complimentary breakfast, and I pay 12 dollars a day to park my vehicle in the hotel parking lot. Would no stay here if I were you. The staff was very pleasant that the two stars for .

Two stars is being charitable. This is in no way a four star hotel. Room was filthy, the coffee maker didn't work, the floor wasn't vacuumed and it was generally a miserable place. We checked out after a half hour and went somewhere else. We should have caught a clue when we arrived. The shuttle driver was salty that we were parked in his spot while checking in and boxed our car in. We had to extricate ourselves around a parked shuttle. I've spend thousands of nights in hotels and this was one of the worst experiences ever.

When I arrived the lady infront of me was disputing over $600 in charges that needed to be refunded. Today I noticed was charged double for my room. The man Isiah not sure on spelling but he was the one who check me in and was dealing with the over charge of the woman. I’m not sure why are they charging people for more than they are supposed to. The carpet was disgusting they need to do better here or lower the price. I just need my refund asap, nobody has time for this kind of stuff. How did you over charge everyone there it just seems odd. Also $12 for parking ? Insane. I won’t be back. & now I have to wait u tik the manager arrives for them to refund me plus up to 7 days.

My job requires me to travel a lot and I typically have to stay in different hotels across the country. I have to say Sonesta by far has some of the comfiest pillows ever! And I’ve stayed in a lot of 4/5 star hotels… still the best pillows lol. My room was clean and basically modern. The front desk staff were polite and respectful. I only stayed one night so I didn’t check out the amenities… but the lobby looked really nice.

Great stay for our family of 4 and the dog. Staff is amazing, they addressed problems we had immediately. Special thank you to Taylor and Shelby for their patience and kindness. We enjoyed the pool and the gym. We had a keurig coffee machine. Unfortunately we couldn't rely on the fridge as temperature was fluctuating too much and we had to throw away our food. We will be back

Gorgeous interior. Nicely sized banquet rooms with good sound system. Banquet food was predictable, better than mediocre, and attractively served & plated. Servers were a bit slow in replacing emptied food trays on the buffet line.

The hotel is clean and room service is pleasant. The shower curtain isn’t long enough for the shower rod which means if you’re not careful, water will get all over the floor. Not my favorite experience.

My SCE was different from the review seen online. First, I was the only one charged a deposit fee of $50. SCE check-in was quick. James and the other young man were professional to everyone I saw them encounter. The room had plugs near the bed to charge your phone. In the cherry cabinet were a coffee maker and mini fridge. A microwave is in the lobby by the bar area if you need to heat anything. Lastly, the questionable areas are miles away from this establishment. I felt safe walking from my car to the hotel. The front of the parking lot has an electric port charger!

Have stayed here a few times, nice to have access to Costco, Chilis and McDonald’s close by. Have been told it’s fine during daylight hours but not nighttime to walk around. Most rooms I’ve been in are clean enough, could use some refreshing. Gym isn’t in good condition.

Taylor at the front desk was terrific!! We had issues with our DayUse reservation at another hotel, so I quickly re-booked at Sonesta. I called to confirm the reservation and Taylor picked up to say she saw it came through and that the room was ready for us. I also REALLY appreciate that she allowed us to use the room till 7pm, that helped us a lot and we will be definitely be returning to Sonesta because of the amazing customer service!!

Read so many reviews good and bad thay had me wondering if it was a good decision to stay at this property. It was a great decision. This property is modern, classy, clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend that you choose this hotel if you are in the Charlotte area. Indoor pool. They have an indoor pool. That was the selling point for me and the pool made me very happy. Room was lovely. Good lighting. Shower had hot water. Hotel needs a key card for elevator floor access so i love that safety element. And late at night you even need a key to enter the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This hotel has everything you need and more for a good stay.

The room was nice and the lobby was beautiful. I did have a tough time with the evening staff. My husband checked in earlier that evening without me. When I arrived, he was out, and I asked for a key. I was told he had to add me to the reservation, and they could not give me a key. They never offered to call him or verify that I was also a guest on the reservation. There was no prompt when booking the room to add a guest's name either. There was no help offered at all, so I had to wait for my husband to arrive. It was pretty late, and all of my bags were in the room (my husband took them for me). We did reserve for 2 adults. The young lady at the bar was super sweet. I wish I had gotten her name. Very nice and hospitable.

Manager was great and staff was very nice to talk to. We are part of Sleep In Heavenly Peace and we were touring the place for family reunion. Dinner was great and it was nice to meet the team. The drinks were good, the dinner was great. Great service by the staff.

Booked last minute for a break on our way home. Thomas checked us in and was the most helpful and kind person that you want to see after being in a car for 10 hours. Room was comfortable and the atmosphere of the place is great. But Thomas made our stay. And dog friendly!

No microwaves in rooms, no laundry, ice machine was broken on my floor, no airport shuttles, wifi was terrible (<4mbps). Rooms were average. Really surprised at the lack of amenities here. They even charge $12 for their continental breakfast (which is pretty basic) and additional fees for parking. These should be included in the price of the hotel, not additional charges. Don't waste your time here.

Beds were very comfortable! Staff was super nice! Lobby is very elegant! No more than 15 minutes away from downtown Charlotte! Rooms can use a bit of touch up, but overall 7/10! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Charlotte!

  • 2/5 Ashley D. 1 year ago on Google
Very expensive for the bare minimum! I have spent $200 on a room and breakfast was NOT included… it’s $14 per person and $8 for kids.. for the same “hot” breakfast you get free at other hotels; check out is 11 and we asked for a late checkout, she and I quote said “oh, no, I’m not doing that today” what? How unprofessional… Rooms were decent, but again, bare minimum and no nice upgrades for the price you are paying. Will never stay here again!

When you walk into this hotel you really expect the rooms to be amazing, but it wasn't. First Thomas at the front desk is AMAZING! Friendly, great small talk, and very accommodating, he was definitely a delight to meet and is absolutely perfect for this position as he knows how to make his guest feel welcome.... The room we had was tiny, balcony was dirty it really needs power washing and only one old chair to sit on the balcony. Everything was broken in our bathroom. And the toilet has to be made for kids because I'm 5' and it was difficult for me to get up and down on it, so my husband who is 6' surly was not pleased. No microwave we had to use a community one by the ice machine. I wanted a staycation experience, by highly disappointed with this hotel. If you're having business meetings or using a banquet room go for it it's amazing in those areas, but I did not enjoy my room at all.

This past weekend, myself and three of my good friends visited this location and began our stay for a girls weekend. One of the friends from the group booked our room with the Sonesta Hotel and told us that she'd chosen a "nice" hotel. Although there were in fact some "nice" aspects of our stay including the staff who were extremely friendly and the lobby which was huge and comfortable, there were also some not so nice aspects of it as well. Upon entering our hotel room, we found that there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Also, we'd purchased drinks at the gas station nearby and of course wanted to refrigerate them overnight. However, we were hesitant as the mini fridge still had someone's drink they'd purchased from McDonalds still sitting there. We were quite skeptical of sleeping in the beds as we felt that the room hadn't been properly cleaned. When we notified the people at the front desk of this negligence, they were, again, super friendly and even offered to get us another room. But, there were four of us who'd overpacked and it was too much of a hassle to move all of our belongings we'd just finished unpacking. We had explained to the hotel staff that it was too much of an inconvenience for us to up and move somewhere else, which they were understanding of. So, we just toughed in out in the current room.Even then, no one ever offered to give us a discount or at least compensate us a day for the lack of cleanliness. Some other things I noticed about the building itself (specifically the outside) is that it doesn't look as glamorous in person as it does in the pictures. In fact, the building was in desperate need of a good pressure washing. And, the chairs sitting outside of several of the rooms looked as though they hadn't been sat in in ages. Also, the temperature in our room remained on 65 the entire weekend we were there. Yet, the the room felt like no air was circulating at all. In fact, despite how potentially dangerous it can be, we actually had to prop our door open one night because it was so hot. Overall the staff made the experience a comfortable one with their kindness, I wish I'd been assured that the room had been thoroughly cleaned, especially with us still being in the middle of a pandemic. Also, I wish more effort was put into making the outside of the building look more welcoming.

The food was GREAT however, I had to move rooms twice. The first room had scratched and scrapped furniture with big chunks missing. There was a noticeable hole cut in the ceiling of the shower with some weird panel situation. The walls had what looked like food and stains. Just a yucky room. The second room wasn’t AS BAD, but the shower is nasty with grime, rust, and parts of the rubber to keep the water in ripped up which is really a tripping hazard. I will be returning to the front desk in hopes they will exchange the room and maybe the third time is a charm. The beds are comfortable.. that’s so far the only pro I have for the room. Again hopefully I will be able to exchange for a third time..

The hotel lobby looks very nice, but the bathroom in our room was dirty, pee everywhere and the AC was very loud and noisy. I did not liked that I had to pay $12.00 USD to park outside of the building (This additional fee is per night); as if you are paying for any premium service.
