The pool is the main picture for this place but yet, they do not tend to the cleanliness of it. The pool closes at 11pm and we were there at 9:30pm no lights were turned on for anyone to see to even enjoy the pool. We tried to give it a try this morning to have a swim before our long trip and it wasn't cleaned before it opened at 6am. Dirty towels from the night before are still laying around, chairs were not put back where they go, tables were not cleaned and the hammock pillows are disgusting as it seems like they have never been washed. The ceiling in our room as gross as well as we couldn't tell if it was covered in mold/mildew, dust, or if it was stained from age and needs to be repainted. For how gorgeous and clean the lobby is it would be nice to see the rest of the building be taken care of the same way...

I read other reviews about the hotel being a bit dated but it wasn't that bad. The staff was super helpful and superseded anything that the aesthetics didn't bring to the table. I was especially impressed by the fact that Myron, one of the managers, was on site and helpful to his staff throughout the weekend, knowing that they had a huge rush and a large crowd with the Omega Psi Phi fraternity Incorporated convention. The gentleman who worked the bar in the evenings was especially hard-working and attentive to detail. I was very appreciative for all the friendly staff. I will say this hotel is made a bit strange because the front desk is in a smaller more constricted area, whereas the elevators to the building have this huge opening. You would think that that's where the front desk would be located. Parking in the adjacent deck was very plentiful, but that is a very tight little parking deck and you need to drive slowly and carefully as you navigate up to. Probably what will be the 5th or 6th floor before you find a space 🤣

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your place. They compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you decide to stay here you won't be let down. Clean room, friendly staff, great location that is walking distance to many good restaurants. Had an issue with faucet/shower mechanism and they came up and had it fixed in like 5 minutes. Great place!

The rooms here are deceptively small. No, they don't lie about the square footage here, but when I reserved a room that was supposed to be larger than the standard room, I got what felt like a closet. We had our kids staying with us (and we told them four people would be in the room), but they only provided 3 towels. There were no extra linens in the room for the pull out couch, either. So we called down to the front desk and asked for linens for the pull out couch. They brought up fitted sheet, flat sheet, and blanket. No pillows. Overall, it was a lot of money to stay downtown for "fun" and it really wasn't.

I stayed at this location the weekend of September 3 and reported a missing item from my room an hour after departing from this hotel. The missing item was my Bose speaker, I called the front desk immediately after realizing it was not in my possession. The front desk personnel sent someone to my room to check, however they did not see the speaker. I arrived back at this location approximately 15 minutes after the initial call, my room was not cleaned and the speaker was not located on the vanity near the bathroom where I left it. I followed normal protocol and reported the item lost/ stolen on the website and the manager contacted me regarding my item. However, he did not respond after the initial email. It seems to me that this poor management due to Steve Kutay’s lack of response. I would like to either have my item back or be reimbursed, this is a simple request and I cannot find anyone to assist me in this matter. So, I do not recommend this location. If you have anything valuable in you luggage I would NOT stay here as I do not trust it would be safe. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this Marriott location.

Good place for a business trip. Very conveniently located. I did not get a chance to try out the restaurant in the hotel so want to remain neutral about the food choice available here. But the location and proximity to several options is absolutely great. The rooms were clean; great water pressure. The concierge staff were very helpful and nice. I will certainly stay here for my future business trips.

3 star hotel and a 3 star stay. Overall disappointed. Check-in was poor due to the app telling me that my room was ready early but upon arrival I was told the app was wrong and it would not be ready for another few hours. Luckily, it was not a big deal, but still an annoyance. Room was okay, very spacious and clean, but basic. Location was excellent and was definitely the best part of the stay. Make sure you get a parking ticket from the front desk so you can use their rates instead of the more expensive city rates. You can discard the parking deck ticket if you chose to park first.

Crews are hospitable. Rooms are clean and smells like home. Very refreshing! We enjoyed our stay and the whole city.

Worst Marriott ever. First of all everything about this stay was awful. From receiving a notification that my room was ready first thing in the morning to arrive in the afternoon and be told by the lady at the desk the room is not ready. When mentioned the notification I got I was told they don't use that, it's their app and they don't use it?? She can really use some customer training in the friendly department. The room was outdated, wet towels in the room. Room was over the pool which was loud. Made me think the room was not cleaned. Marriotts and the Marriott reward program are not what they used to be at all. I was told parking was $45 by reservations and front desk only later to find out it was $3. Not sure who does the training and gives information to be provided to guests because nothing I was told was correct information. Marriott definitely let me down!! I will book at Hilton from now on. Do yourself and your family a favor and DON'T stay here!!

This disgusting rathole barely passes as better than the sidewalk outside. The air and ventilation are terrible and the sanitary conditions are abysmal. Stuck inside of a nasty room with windows facing the pool deck, requiring me to hermetically seal the curtains rather than any normalcy. So done with these disgusting "hotels."

Awesome staff!, Really cool bar area. If you're traveling, to watch your team play the Panthers this is a great location. Lots of restaurant choices, within walking distance to the stadium. This will be our choice hotel for the next game.

Had to change rooms three times because the charging ports and USB were not working. Stayed in last room because finally found a room that had working charging ports even though the the shower was falling off the wall. For the price you are better at another hotel. Asked to be contacted about all the issues and nothing at all, no follow up at all. Service while there was good, the employees tried to do the best they could with what they had.

Service food and staff was absolute on point. The lobby bar had some of the best food and mixed cocktails I’ve ever experienced. A very wonderful place to stay right in the middle of the city!

Don't forget to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This site will compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in the area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't regret it. Super impressed with the customer service and staff! We had problems finding the hotel due to an event and Yalonda quickly helped us via phone. She went above and beyond at check in and I cannot send praise her way enough! She is a fabulous employee! Thanks for making our stay awesome!

I checked in on Monday checked out Friday and my room was never cleaned. No clean towels unless I went downstairs and got some. No trash pickup. Complained every night and it didn't help. Plus the sink had cracks in it. What a dump. Will never stay there again.

Bed had broken springs and sagged severely to the middle (so much so you can see in the picture). I slept on one side of the king and woke up in the middle because of the sag. Lighting was dim due to use of fluorescent bulbs. Furniture looked worn. Staff was nice but gathered in lobby chatting frequently. There was also some disagreement between management and cleaning staff that I witnessed in the hallway; this should have been done somewhere else. There are several reviews mentioning stuff being stolen. TV or remote was very very slow to respond with 2-4 seconds to register a button press...probably due to old hardware. No clock in room. Rooms are not being serviced daily which is ok, but they are not refreshing in room coffee or getting trash. They made no mention of this at check-in. I had a charge dispute at their coffee bar and the manager was very quick to help me. Hopefully, he can get them to update the hotel. I bumped from 1/5 stars to 2/5 because of his help. Location was good and pricing was fair; this would have been 4/5 if the room had a better bed. Bed was that bad.

The hotel is in a good location near my office. They offer a decent rate. The biggest complaint is the age of the rooms. The bedding is just OK and an "executive suite" is merely a standard room. The room I recently had has a rollout desk, but the legs were nearly falling off. The TV offers a way to stream, but you can never connect to the server allowing a connection. If you are looking for a place to lay down, it's fine. On a positive note, the shower is fantastic. Plenty of pressure and hot water. I also like the breakfast and the bar offers a quick nightcap.

Just stayed here for two nights for a wedding. This is a great location. There was an event happening on Tryon while we were there, so it was fun to just walk out the door and be right in the middle of the action. My son and I also enjoyed walking around the city. However, you could hear the band in your room. We didn't mind as much as our father, but we were up on the fourth floor, and he was on the first. Also, the woman at the front desk was very helpful. I felt badly for her as so many of us showed up at once and wanted to get in early, and they just couldn't accommodate any of us. We did get in slightly before the regular check-in time, so we still had time to get ready for the rehearsal dinner that night. We also had some issues with my dad's room not being accessible as we requested, so that's why he ended up on the first floor by himself. The restaurant appeared to be under construction, so we only had the little Starbucks place to get anything. Also, the rooms could use some more updating - other than a giant wallpaper mural on the wall and some new sheets. There are lots of plugs and USB outlets, so that's a plus. But that bathroom - ugh! The sink is separate from the shower/toilet, so that was a plus. But the lighting over the sink sucked for makeup and NO counter space. Only one person could get ready at a time. Our shower didn't really seem to be clean either. One of the toilets in the public bathroom on the first floor had a ring in it (gross), and it was out of paper towels. Fitness center was decent - nice selection of machines and weights. I have definitely stayed at much nicer Marriott's, but this one will not be one I return to most likely.

If you have a choice, stay elsewhere. The location was perfect for the marathon. That's the best thing. Lots of street noise. The service was pretty awful and they either don't care or are short staffed, or likely both. The room itself wasn't super clean (mold by fridge, several dark spots on carpet). We stayed 3 nights and room service never came. Had to ask for towels and trash. Also, we tried for early check-in and kept being told to come back in 15 minutes repeatedly, until it had been over an hour and was well after the official 4pm check-in. There was a line of people waiting to get into their room.

Most of our stay was enjoyable as the bed was comfortable and it was in a central location, however there were a couple of things that make me not want to go back. Our room’s air was on heat, 78, in the summer. So I had to turn on the AC as soon as we got there and it took a bit to cool down. Not fun when you come in from a hot day. The second thing was the coffee….I’ve never been to a hotel where they don’t offer free coffee. With the amount you pay for parking and the room, it just seems cheap to make guests pay for a small cup of coffee. They have a “Starbucks” but be warned, I had to throw my cup of room temperature coffee and milk away because their definition of iced is pouring hot liquids over some ice. So it’s really just watered down room temperature coffee and milk. Lastly, my fiancé said the shower was dirty.

Never in my life have I felt so disrespected then this morning at our checkout. There are so many reasons I give this hotel 1 star. The complete lack of disregard for my feelings, the side comments, the eye rolls, the backtalk during checkout. I mean seriously, this is the face of the organization? After reaching a stopping point over confusion with checkout I asked the desk attendant if we could work with her manager instead. She REFUSED to call her manager. When I asked her name she walked away. This was the complete tip of the iceberg for this stay. Additional issues I have were when we checked in last night, we were met with a very pleasant man. He told us there is coffee in the lobby in the morning. When you pay for an uptown hotel, that seems very much the norm. So this morning I ventured downstairs, and asked the morning person manning the desk where the complimentary coffee was. She pointed me in the direction. when I went over to the counter across the lobby, the person working said the coffee was at cost. So I went back to the front desk, very upset. The same lady seemed to shrug it off and step aside. The other attendant addressed my concerns, wrote it down, and said she would bring the note to the sales manager, who would call me before we checked out. I should of predicted that there would be no call. Additional issues I have with the hotel seem to all stem from a lack of communication within the management company. For example, the ice maker on our floor did not work. Not a big deal, we called down and the attendant said he would make note of it and have someone look at it the next day. However, when addressed this later, they said no note was left for the day shift. Again, I highly encourage everyone to AVOID this hotel. Can a hotel without hospitality, even be considered a hotel?

This hotel stands out from the rest with the most recent innovative technology in the rooms to include special lighting and unique furniture. Our suite was so comforting. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. To stay here, park in the garage - its great to not have to drive anywhere from the hotel - you're already here as soon as you walk outside. Visit the French Quarter!
