I only stayed for one night an I had an issue with the guests that were staying next to us. I spoke with the manager who was very professional an understanding. She did everything possible to make me comfortable. I appreciate her going above an beyond because no one ever does these day’s. They usual just want your money an to silence your complaints. I wish all hotels operated like this one.

I'm a regular patron of Holiday Inn and have been consistently pleased, which is why I'm not leaving a terrible review, just an honest one about what happened at this location. I've stayed here before with friends and everything was fine. This time--a few issues. Positives: Great location, comfortable beds, easy check-in process, courteous staff. Negatives: No complimentary breakfast, parking on the outer corners not monitored or well lit, not enough lighting in the rooms, and your room may not be as clean as you'd think it should be. We had to have a microwave replaced b/c there was food, trash, and gunk in it from who knows how long ago. We had to call several times for one set of fresh towels and for the trash to be removed. Our room wasn't cleaned the 2nd day, even though we left the room and were gone for several hours. It was just not the standard I've come to expect from the IHG Brands. It was just weird. I am an IHG Member and will continue to be. I just don't know if I'll stay here again. I'm hoping this was just an isolated occurrence.

We had our sons wedding reception here. Everything was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. I did have a little glitch at check in but it was handled quickly and professionally by one of the managers. I would use this hotel again in the future if needed.

Don't forget to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking any place. This web site will compare countless hotel sites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. Great stay for overnight or longer. Convenient to the light rail system, University, shops and eateries. Clean, friendly and professional staff, breakfast, pantry, pretty much everything you need for your stay. Did not use due to length of stay and season but had a gym and pool. Highly recommend.

I chose this hotel while attending a conference in Charlotte after evaluating numerous other properties. The location and safety were the primary deciding factors in booking the reservation. I often stay at a Hampton Inn for these reasons, but I found this hotel more appealing. My stay far exceeded my expectations. The desk staff was cordial and ever-willing to assist. The housekeepers were hard-working, and the facilities were immaculate. My only suggestion concerns breakfast, where good variety greeted you each morning. However, I would suggest adding a starch to accompany the eggs daily. This breakfast suggestion by no means lowers my view of this hotel because the breakfast staff was also excellent. The breakfast suggestion is a personal preference. I would not hesitate to stay at this location again when in the Charlotte area.

Amazing service!! EVERYONE that I encountered working at this hotel was professional and pleasant. Even when I ask them to remind other visitors about their noise levels they handled it promptly and respectfully. Definitely one of the beat holiday inns Ive visited

My husband, our 1-month-old newborn, 1-year old baby, and I stayed 3 nights at the Holiday Inn Charlotte University for a family reunion, and overall the stay was pretty good! We were able to get a crib for our baby which was nice. The rooms were spacious and clean for the most part except there was a strange stain on the bottom of the toilet that kind of looked like blood but… Idk :/ A few of the hand towels had this weird orange stuff on them… maybe just stained? Our room smelled like a wet dog, especially when the air was off, so I tried to keep the air flowing & had air freshener. We didn’t spend a ton of time in the room so I didn’t think it was worth it to ask for a room change. The bed was SO comfortable! Sheets were nice & clean :) The breakfast was excellent- lots of choices! Overall, good stay!

Very good experience for me and my family. We stood one night because we were traveling through. We checked in around 10:30pm. It was quiet, although there were plenty of people just hanging around the entrance. Loved that they had Dove shampoo, conditioner, and lotion in the bathroom to use not that tiny hotel bottles they usually leave for guests . Room was very nice and clean. Very happy with my stay.

This was a clean, pleasant hotel that worked for what I needed. I did not opt for the spendy breakfast. Only 1 thing, someone slammed the door in the hall very late and it woke me up. Was hard to get back to sleep. In other words, the doors are thin, although the walls and ceilings seemed fine. Of note, there was a real bathtub in the bathroom. Nice touch.

Lots of good...and bad at this location. The first room I had smelled so bad I didn't even sit down. The front desk attendants (who are all AWESOME) promptly moved me to another, less smelly room, but they really need to do something about the filters, carpet, or whatever is making these rooms smell. The cleanliness of the room was average at best. Refrigerator had a broken shelf but I fixed it myself. Everything in the room (except the pictures) was crooked or slightly askew in some way. Ice bucket did not have bag and still had water in it. There were glitter stars in the carpet, handprints on the headboard of the bed, and I'm hoping to God the sheets were changed. The restaurant/bar was not open yesterday as published on their website, but there are a ton of restaurants and bars within walking distance. All that said, the staff is excellent and I have never been in a hotel where I have felt more secure. I hope they will read this, and that it helps them improve their accommodations. This is not meant to be a "bad" review. But it is meant to make them aware that if people pay to stay at a "premium" hotel, there needs to be premium effort and quality brought by ALL the staff and not just the front desk.

Not a very good experience going right in to this hotel. Just like every hotel l've gone to, I park and then enter to check in. The usual ID, and maybe your credit card. I was then told "you can't stay here" then told because my age that I wouldn't be able to stay. I know some hotels have age restriction. However this is usually never an issue... not like they had a bar or there was alcohol in the room. It's just very annoying because this is stated NOWHERE on their description. 'm lucky l had my mother with me as she had to aid the check in process. It's irritating because I can serve my country, pay taxes, bills and own a car to drive my self to this hotel. but "oh you're not old enough". I'm still not sure why this hotel has an age restriction, the age in North Carolina to book and stay at a hotel is 18. l'm 20! Other than that the hotel was decent. But the HVAC did not work correctly in the room (set heat) but only cold air came out. There was also a very annoying beeping sound coming from the outlet under the TV. Additionally when trying to take a shower the door would not stay closed. Stayed in room 204. Breakfast was this hotels redeeming quality. It was good and had plenty of choice.

Went here to participate in a conference. While some issues were due to the event organizers, a lot of issues were because of the hotel. I think they overbooked. However if you are going just to stay, the rooms were nice and enjoyable. Security was sufficient and the Stagg was courteous and friendly. They just need to be a little bit more cautious with events.

Booked this Holiday Inn for my wedding room block and morning after brunch. I gave it 3 stars because it was a mixed bag of reviews from our guests. We also stayed at the hotel in a corner room and we actually enjoyed our stay. When my brother was checking in I was standing next to him and they failed to give him his welcome bag. I had to say something. so he could get his welcome bag. Alternatively, they gave two bags to people staying in one room. They just couldn’t get it right on that front. One of my bridesmaids moved to the Hilton across the street bc every room they went in to smelt terrible. The shuttle was very useful but the front desk staff wasn’t very helpful signing people up for it. The Food and Beverage team were the all stars of our stay. They kept the bar open late for us and did an excellent job with the brunch. Their staff was very kind and accommodating.

The Holiday Inn here is excellent we were greeted with a very friendly face and checked in quickly. The lobby was nice and spacious and as we made way to our room the whole hotel just seemed clean. A room was very spacious with a comfy bed great lighting excellent bathroom with good water pressure and air conditioning. We will be back

Overall, I had a good stay. The front desk was sort of bland in their personality, but overall got the job done. The rooms were fairly nice and taken care of, no complaints. As for location, it is very close to the PNC pavilion.

Everything was really nice but the room had the smell of urine, that's the reason my rating my is lower. I did appreciate the safety of having to use room key to operate elevator and doors being locked once it was late. Staff was nice and friendly.

Interior/Rooms of hotel are nice and clean. Beds are comfortable. Staff is amazing. Exterior needs a little adjustment. I stayed for a week and daily I had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get into the hotel as people sit directly left of the entrance and smoke. The edge of the parking lot is lined with poison sumac, which left me with some pretty good whelps on my arm. So, if you are allergic be sure to park against the building or in the middle spaces.

I'm giving this hotel four stars because I found a hair in the shower upon entering the bathroom. I told the receptionist but she just made a face of disgust but didn't do anything about it. The staff is very friendly. The manager goes above and beyond to accommodate guests. Great buffet breakfast. A vast amount to choose from. The room that I was in needed vacuuming and dusting. Overall this hotel is ideal and prices reasonable.

I had an awesome stay, the room was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here when you're in town. The team is very attentive, especially Carolyn and Brenton Clark.

I have nothing better to say about Carolyn and her staff, she was really easy to talk to and super friendly. We has a small issue with our room the first night but she did her best to accommodate and make it right :) Definitely will be staying here again on our trips back to CLT, beds were comfortable and good location.

Room was very nice and the beds slept very comfortably. However, the bathroom vent did not work and when I called for service the manager said none of the vents worked. I guess it was a safety protocol for covid. There should have been a plan B.
