It's been a while since we stayed here. It was pre pandemic but we spent many weeks at this location for several months. This property has sadly gone down hill. So many issues to mention. Did try and get staff to solve the issues prior to leaving this review, but they just seemed beat down and over it. Room was not clean, furniture was missing. Previous guests maid service had left cleaning supplies in room. Smoke detector battery was faulty. Cable was limited due to (according to an employee) just bad signal that sometimes may work. But was working in the lobby bar area just fine. Anything we needed such as towels we were told to get ourselves. Only one working elevator during our two night stay which made it very difficult to get to and from your room unless you took the stairs. I think what saddens me the most, is that our previous experience was so great. We have been recommending this location to family and business associates when they come to Charlotte. I'm so embarrassed we put our name on this properties now sad state. Will no longer be returning to this location. Many, many more suitable places to stay for your visit. Hyatt Corporation, you should know this location is not meeting your standards.

To help future guests, they have a parking garage that can only be accessed by the valet or after check-in. To check-in, park on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. We found this out after waiting at the parking garage for the valet, who “ conveniently” walked out after we had already backed out in the street to circle the block to return to the hotel. Once we circled back, hotel reps. Finally, I assisted us and the other guests. The hotel booking confirmation gives no info concerning parking. They take the parking fee out of the incidental charge. The hotel room was not cleaned properly. The bathroom still had the previous guests' dirty towels. If you are coming just for a concert as we did at the Spectrum Center, it could be OK. If you plan to stay an extended time, I would not recommend this hotel. There are better hotels further down the street that seemly are in a better spot. Also, the restaurants are further away from this hotel as well. The breakfast was not good either.

This is a below average hotel. My rate was $179 a night for a high floor king size bed booking and what I actually got during check in was a mid floor queen room. That aside, the worst part about my experience was maid service is only provided once every 4 days. This is only revealed to you at the time of check in so beware if you want your room made each morning probably best to go elsewhere. This hotel is straight trash

Bad news first, since there is so much great news. The location stinks, it sits between a bunch of one way roads, and has the tiniest driveway ever. It makes finding it getting in and out a little challenging. However, it does have a nice restaurant on the roof, and is right next to City Center so that is a huge plus. The valet was so/so, the service was great, but unfortunately they don't have enough parking for guest so you pay all this money to have parking with in/out priviledges and then you are told to leave your car in the valet if you want to be sure that it is safe within the hotel parking garage. The rooms were to die for, definitely exceeded my expectations for a Hyatt (I've been in 3 different ones over the past month). It was extremely clean, spacious, and the tech was right on par to connect with both Android & iPhone. We were in a corner room and had so much natural light. I would totally book here again!

So far, so good, I arrived on moday afternoons, and the parking was not as easygoing I wish to be, just one valet to take care of many cars. The front desk was very nice and quickly, I spent more time waiting for the valet that the time I entered the building and went to my room. The gym is decent, and the complementary breakfast is good enough. The location it is amazing and very conveniently located in the Charlotte downtown area.

The Hyatt House in Center City is ideal because of the location. We were in town for a show at the Spectrum Arena right next door. From the front door of the hotel to the arena’s entrance was literally 20 steps, that’s convenient! The staff was friendly and the room was mostly clean. My only real complaint was the bathroom. Our room’s shower needed a deep cleaning. Also, the shower and toilet are in the same room but there’s no ventilation. After hot showers the bathroom’s ceiling would be dripping water, hated that. The complimentary breakfast was better than your average hotel breakfast. Valet parking is $40/day—not terrible considering parking in that area is a pain. The best part of this hotel is the location. We walked a lot and any Uber we needed was less than $7. An added plus is that the Midnight diner is directly across the street and open 24/7. It’s a great pit stop after a night on the town.

For a $350 a night room I got a view of a satellite dish and left this hotel with pink eye. On top of this they only use single use plastics for everything, absolutely horrible experience every morning burning through plastic utensils and cups. Please buy cutlery and a dish washer, what you are doing today is not ok.

My partner and I stayed at this beautiful hotel last weekend (May 4th - 6th). We had made our reservations in advance (included with our reservation was the parking package) on their website and were able to check-in with ease. All staff members including the receptionists, valet attendants, and the hotel manager/owner were professional and extremely kind to us. During our stay, parking within the garage (which was next/connected to the hotel) was only available through valet service. Valet was offered to all guests 24/7, and we had no problems retrieving or returning our car. The location of the hotel is directly in the city of Charlotte. Once we had checked-in we were able to leave our car in the hotel's garage and walk around the city and return to the hotel with ease. The room was clean and had a mini kitchen (with pots, pans, plates, bowls, utensils), a small living room, a bedroom area, an elegant bathroom with a standing shower, and plenty of sunlight with a view. The (free) breakfast was amazing. Breakfast was buffet style and offered a decent selection of options for all guests to choose from. We had such a fantastic time in downtown Charlotte and at Carowinds thanks to the delightful and caring employees and the exceptionally comfortable and clean hotel. We humbly thank all staff members that were there during our visit and appreciate the phenomenal service provided to us!

So far not good . When I booked the room the representative the call went smooth . However by price given to me was only partial of what I would be paying when arriving .As a first timer the representative that handles when calling day of arrival was very rude about the questions I had on the price difference. If you’re working in the customer service area you should understand you have different customers and customers who are coming on different terms such as first timers . Regulars , family trips , college group , etc . There are things that differ on the start from arrival throughout the stay. The experience you offer plays into the customers time spent and employees should understand how their demeanor can truly make it the worst. With that being said I hope my stays goes well not gonna let this ruin my much needed vacation . Hoping for a better experience

Rooms were clean and as described. Getting into Valet Parking was a bit stressful as there was only one entrance and room for no more than 2 cars in line. Anyone else in line had to wait in the travel lane on Trade Street. I would have given more stars but after having to listen to the cleaning staff carry on for half an hour out in the hallway, I just couldn't do it. They were at the opposite end of the hallway and we could still hear them over our television.... Bed and pillows were a pleasant surprise!

Stayed at this location for Memorial Weekend for a weekend getaway. The front staff and parking attendants were pleasant and helpful. Once we got to the room it was very disappointing. The room was not clean and there was also a dirty wash cloth on the bathroom sink. We contacted downstairs to complain and was advised to call the next morning to speak with Manager on call. We called the next morning and spoke to the Manager who advised someone would come in the next hour to clean. We left to give them time and came back 2 + hours later to a still not clean room. The next 30 mins a lady walked in the room to clean and we were not dressed so asked her to come back in 15 mins. She said she wasn't coming back because the shift was ending and had a very bad attitude. We called the front desk and they transferred us to the housekeeping Manager who was the Rudest women that I have ever spoken to. This encounter ruined our trip and needles to say we never got the room cleaned. We were going to extend our stay but went across the street to another hotel which was 100x better. Will not be returning to this location again.

This property has gone down hill. I stayed before the pandemic and it was great. Now the breakfast has been reduced to a cheap continental offering with few options. The room wasn’t entirely clean. I’ll be closing a different hotel next time.

We only stayed for one night. The gentleman checking us in was very short with us and not friendly. That kind of sets a negative tone right at the start since this was our first time staying here. I gave it 3 stars because, although the location was excellent, there were a few things I noticed about the cleanliness/maintenance of hotel. The bathroom was not fully clean with hair being left in the shower. We had issues with the door lock getting stuck. Other than those few things the hotel provided us a decent stay for one night. Not sure if I'd recommend since there seems to be a wide selection of better hotels within the same vicinity.

I stayed just one night and everything was fine with the hotel but the breakfast was subpar compared to the other Hyatt's I've stayed at. I asked for a late checkout but it seems it wasn't communicated to the staff because they knocked on the room twice to clean before 1pm. I think as a Hyatt member, Valet parking should be reduced bc $40 dollars a night seems steep when there isn't any other parking that can be done overnight. (The valet wasn't sure how long I could park at the other places and or if overnight was allowed.)

Great location spacious room with a view. Wonderful breakfast spread. Welcoming lobby area. Please put some extra effort in bathroom cleaning like BLEACH on the mold. Not to welcoming in the shower. Invest!

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be let down. Perfect location for the convention center because although its very close its just far enough for peace and quiet. Only issue was that my TV in my room did not work and there was no daily room service. However, towels were provided promptly when asked and I do not watch tv. Would definitely recommend.

To anyone who's ever been skeptical about hotel price comparison websites, I can't recommend HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm enough. The savings, like on this stay, are tangible and consistent. Clean rooms, guest service friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. Paid $40.00 for velvet parking. Truck doors were never locked. I was looking for the car attend the person was unable to be found so I walked upstairs to see if maybe the person was watching the cars. I went to my truck, and all my doors were unlocked. Crazy because they have signs that state " Not responsible for stolen items," why pay $40.00 🙄and you're not going to lock the doors? Complain to night management and day management, nothing was done.

Mold everywhere. really wanted to love my stay and I am very unproblematic. I had already moved rooms twice and didn’t feel like moving again. The first night, I couldn’t get any sleep due to the overload of mold in the room which caused major breathing issues. I do not recommend this hotel valet is also very slow. The woman was very nice however, Cliff was confrontational. He said “I was here all night long and my phone never rung you should have came sooner” at this point it’s 5am. He sucks everyone else is nice.

I stay at Hyatt often and I was really disappointed in the experience at this hotel. Upon check-in, the guy at the desk was extremely flippant and dismissive. I got to my room and tried to open the door but was greeted by another occupant who had checked into the room moments before me. Good news is that although she was shocked a complete stranger entered her room with a key, she was kind and understanding. Front desk attendant acted so surprised this had happened and not initially apologetic. The second room was “ok” overall but the shower was disgusting. Moldy, old grout and the remnants of other guests hairs—ultimately I was so grossed out I decided against a shower. This hotel needs more professional staff and rooms need to be thoroughly cleaned and possibly renovated. Location was fantastic for visiting the Spectrum Center but ultimately I would not stay here again based on my overall experience.

The best part of this hotel was leaving. Heads up, the only parking option they offer is a $40 valet. They conveniently leave that out at booking. We stood at the front desk for a few minutes without being acknowledged by two front desk people. They only helped us after my partner asked. The overall hotel looks nice on the surface, but it's not great. Our room was gross. Towels had some really gross looking stains, and there was chewed up gum stuck to our ice bucket. The bathroom wasn't clean, and there was no water pressure. We ended up talking to a manager and getting our money back. The Aloft hotel is about a block away, cheaper, and a billion times better than this dump. Do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere but here.

Nice looking place in a good location if you are looking for downtown Charlotte. Our biggest suggestion: Time to upgrade your sleeper sofas. Mattress was crazy thin and more and more places now have the comfy thick foam mattresses that make it more like a bed you can get sleep on.

Stayed here one night for the TxT concert and not overly impressed. First room we got was 84 degrees when we walked in and air conditioning broken. Moved to another room quickly but that room was 76 degrees when we walked in. Took a couple hours to cool to a reasonable temp. Room was nice and large with a kitchenette, 2 TVs, seating area with couch, however the carpet was very worn in spots and one entire wall of electric did not work- the lamp, the outlets, etc. so essentially we had one light that worked in the seating area and kitchen. Was woken up by screaming patrons in the hall in the night and the door slams are extremely loud. As others have stated, the valet situation is extremely stressful on arrival, as it is not clear where you need to pull in. There is room for one car before you are sitting and waiting in the middle of the street. The valet attendants were very nice and quick however. Will find somewhere else to stay on my next trip to Charlotte.

Make sure to use HotelTully.á´„á´Źm when booking your hotel. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be disappointed. Wonderful experience! The entire staff is pretty friendly while also giving you space to enjoy the city and all that it has to offer. From the valet to the front desk you are greeted with smiles and friendly faces welcoming you to the property. The lobby spills over to a breakfast and dining area perfect for work on the road or a simple meet up with friends and family before exploring Queens City! This is a must stay location if you are traveling to Charlotte NC

there is no safe in the room. Luckily, I have a lockable code suitcase. and imagine my surprise when one day I returned and I had 777 on my suitcase! the cleaning lady tried to pick up the code from the suitcase! wanted to steal my stuff!! be careful in this hotel, better choose another one! You may be robbed!

Hotel was very nice, great amenities and nice staff. Be prepared for valet parking as there is no free or self parking at this hotel. The gym was decent size and clean as was the pool which was heated. My room was very clean and as described. Breakfast is free in a downtown location almost unheard of and it was vey good with quite a bit of options.

Excellent location essentially attached to the Hornets arena. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are decent with just about everything you would expect but giving it a 4 star vs a 5 just because it is more functional than luxury. Overall an excellent place to stay for events in the downtown area.

Nice hotel, the suite was well put together and we enjoyed our stay. There were several stains in the carpet though, and long hairs that definitely didn't come from us on the bed. Also the parking situation was horrible, they only do valet for $33. We parked in the gravel lot across the street for $20. The latter alone is probably enough for me to want to stay somewhere else next time.
