All I can say is false advertising! The entire place is under renovation ! No restaurant, no bar , no access to an outdoor seating area. Half the rooms are 3/4 of the way complete, some had an odd smell and roaches. The day shift front desk staff are rude and more worried about hanging out front talking with this vehicle and that vehicle. God forbid you ask him for ANYTHING. But we found out from one of the locals there's some shady history. Seems the connecting hotel was a "no tell hotel" and very popular with the working girls and guys. I'm sorry but I believe that if your hotel is going through a remodeling project you should at least put that in the details. But on the plus side the gentleman working the night shift did his job and handled EVERYTHING perfectly. * note we were a large group from out of state. So yes we saw each others rooms and talked about the accommodations.

We look for a hotel that had 24-hour transportation to airport, we were told this hotel offered that. When we arrived the gentleman at the front desk said that they quit doing it a week ago. We had just called the hotel phone line that morning to be sure they still had transportation. The automated systems and they still had 24-hour transportation. We were concerned about being able to get an Uber at 4:00 in the morning to get us to the airport. I was not happy with the room it smelled like urine so did the hallway. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and very apologetic stating that corporate had gone and changed the updated message about not having 24-hour transportation service. There was a lady walking the parking lot while we were waiting on our Uber. I will say she was a "working woman". I did not feel safe in that location. It was so far away from the airport we felt much better after we relocated.

I had booked my stay several weeks prior to my stay but upon arrival, I was advised that they didn't have a room for me. The gentleman behind the desk, Antonio, was extremely helpful. Little did I know that he was already on the phone with the general manager to get this resolved. After 20 minutes, my room was ready. It was clean. I had no more complaints and had a wonderful weekend in Charlotte.

Excellent hotel. I would definitely stay again. They do not have any breakfast but it is a Bistro in the hotel. The parking was good. I saw law enforcement patrolling often. The rooms was super clean & smelled fresh. The staff was very friendly. Not from that area, they offered suggestions for dining & late night deliveries. Awesome experience.

First things first we will stay here again. Me and my cohost Brad for "Race Car Spelled Backwards" were covering the Coca-Cola 600 for our podcast and needed a place to stay after the race, we stopped by on the way to the track at around 11:30am and talked to the gentleman at the front desk he was very friendly, we asked him if there would be a problem if we were to check in at 3am the next morning. He assured us we would have no problems. After an amazing race we headed to the hotel and arrived at 2:30am. The clerk was amazing when we arrived, very friendly, She found that a mistake was made on our reservation and fixed it, she was sure we didn't want to sleep in the same bed and switched us to two queens. We had two issues with our room. First when we entered the room it smelled like an arm pit after a workout. This seemed to dissipate after running the AC unit. Second problem was when we needed to shower there were only enough towels for 1 person. The employees here are amazing, everyone we came into contact with had great personalities. Rating should allow 1/2 stars a 3.5 would be a true rating from me and really a little Air Freshener and another set of towels I would have given 5-stars.

This hotel is trash. The room they gave me had stains on the bed sheets and towels and when I asked for new ones they denied my request. It smells like smoke in here even though it’s non smoking. I don’t recommend.

The location is very sketchy and looks unsafe. When I arrived, someone was changing their clothes at the front of the hotel. We were given an accessible room and when he told the the customer service agent, he looked puzzled. Then he gave us a standard room. The bedsheet looked to be like it had not been replaced. Bought a bottle of water and the next customer service agent didn't even address us properly just staring down at his phone, asking 'paying by credit or cash'. Then he swapped the card, returned the card and went back to his phone again with no acknowledgement if it's ok. Didn't even mention about receipt. I called the agent to get done extra blankets and he said the hotel doesn't keep any extra blankets in a rude manner. Firstly, this person should not be a customer service role because he is totally incapable of doing such a job. Radisson doesn't keep extra blankets? Is that a joke or the agent was lying? Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here.

No way this room was worth the almost $200 I paid. Don’t get me wrong, it’s updated, but not maintained well. The room was the room I purchased, however upon walking in the room had the smell of a litter box, walls all scuffed, and MOLD. Extremely disappointed for the cost. The location is awful. The amount of homeless camps in the adjoined parking lot to the hotel with people hanging around and walking around is also pretty unsettling. Upon checkout there was nobody at the front to check me out, give me a printed price sheet, just a bowl that says “Leave room key here”. I could’ve paid less to stay better. Not sure where all the 5 star, “excellent cleanliness” reviews are coming from honestly.

The hotel is extremely outdated . My room was dirty upon me arriving , I told the housekeepers after I checked in and opened my hotel door. There was hair in my shower, tissue toiletries trash on my bathroom floor under the sink. Also this hotel does not except tap to pay. They should definitely upgrade , its 2023. I also didn’t get my deposit back. The best part about my stay was being near the airport and near the stadium for the game. I understand you get what you pay for but they can at least keep the property and rooms clean.

Just wanted to give a shoutout to Anthony that works here at the front desk! We came down last weekend for a concert at Coyote Joe’s and this guy was awesome!! So nice, very respectful, gave us plenty of information of the area around us and we just enjoyed our time there! Excellent place to stay!!! Thank you for the amazing hospitality Anthony ✌️!!!!

Pretty good place! Very clean and new. Bed is comfy and shower is spacious. Quite place as well. I was low key worried about airport shuttle after reading all the reviews but there were no problems at all! I called after landed and the shuttle arrived in 15 minutes. The morning one is every 30 minute. It does pick up guests from two other hotels but they are all in the same plaza.

Anthony was on front desk when we arrived. He was super friendly, and helpful, and recommended where to order pizza. Room is nice, clean and modern. We will definitely stay here again.

Had 2 nights booked but only stayed for one. Area is sketchy. Room smelled like a wet dog. we noted questionable substances smeared on the walls. Bathroom door was sliding barn door which offered little privacy and seemed like it was going to fall off the rail every time we touched it. Spend a little more money and stay somewhere else.

The hotel and service was nice. My room had a strong disinfect smell. The bathroom socket was blown. The lamp did not work. The bed was comfortable. It is 10-15 mins from the airport which is great. However, the location is not that great. This area has a sketchy surrounding. The hotel may need to invest in nightly security. The doors are locked at night for "safety reasons". Not my words but a staff member. It's the location that brings down this hotels rating. Hopefully the city will revitalize the area soon.

My mother got stranded overnight at the airport, and this Radisson was completely there for her! Antonio, who was working at the front desk, did a fabulous job of helping her request a pick-up and explaining where to catch the shuttle, and then made her feel incredibly welcome when she made it to the hotel. She said the room was clean and comfy, it was easy to set up her return trip to the airport, and it made an unpleasant experience (stuck overnight at the airport) into something pleasant. THANK YOU!

For a Raddison and for the price, it was disappointing. The pool was not open, which is very disappointing when you have children. The toilet had definitely not been cleaned, and the shower curtain reeked of urine. The bathroom floor was dirty. They don’t vacuum the edges of the room at all. There was a pile of fingernail clippings on the floor and one stabbed me in my foot! Worst of all there was a half a pill under the desk! I have a small toddler; luckily I found it first! The fridge was dirty. The only positives were that the beds seemed to be clean and the person at the front desk was nice. Not the worst place I’ve stayed, but I was hoping a 3-star hotel would at least be clean

We stayed here on the last two nights of our two week vacation in the US ( couple travelling from Dallas, Texas to Charlotte, North Carolina). We ultimately picked the hotel due to its proximity to the airport- location for us was perfect between the city and airport but we had a car so this is something to consider if you dont have your own vehicle it may not be a convenient location. Upon checking in we met the most friendly front of house staff (Anthony moore) he had our reservation ready immediately after arriving despite us only booking within an hour of arriving there. He could not do enough for us, was on hand for advice and overall very very helpful and friendly. We could not fault the room it was big and comfortable amd very reasonably priced. Would recommend staying here, particularly if you are travelling as airport is within a few miles. Free parking at the hotel. We didn't use any of the facilities (gym etc) but were impressed with the facilities on offer. A special thanks so Mr. Moore on reception x

I've stayed in worse hotels, but only out of necessity. You would have to pay me to stay here again. The shuttle seat wasn't fully attached and the driver was dismissive. The check-in was bare minimum standards max. The hall smelled like cigarettes and weed despite the hotel being "no smoking". The room smelled of cigarettes beginning randomly in the night with no obvious source. The room was hotter than the outside of the hotel even with the a/c on full. There weren't roaches or bed bugs that I'm aware of so that is a plus 🤷‍♂️. The location was easy to get to from the airport.

Lisa was great at check-in. She did her best to accommodate me with the best room and rate. I was assigned a room on the fourth floor that smelled horrible so I was changed to another which was worse. Ended up staying in the first one after spraying a disinfectant. Went to take a shower the water was cold. I've stayed here a few times in the past and my experience was great which is why I came back. Unfortunately I will not return for a fifth visit. 😕

The room was fine, we had no complaints about that. The airport shuttle in the morning was unfortunately very late, but the 5stars are for Antonio who literally jumped in to save the day. Everything worked out thanks solely to him, and we are immensely grateful for this amazing human!

I booked this hotel because of a 14-hour layover on a connecting flight before I read the negative reviews. I can certainly empathize with the guests that had the negative experiences. That said, my own personal experience was positive. I called and waited about 25 mins for the shuttle to arrive, not unreasonable. The hotel is about 12 min from the airport terminal. To say the location is dodgy is a bit of an exaggeration - I never felt unsafe or I was in a seedy area. Hotel check in was prompt and no fuss. The room I received was on the 4th floor and was clean. Bed was comfortable and wifi worked. You reserve a time for the shuttle back to the airport when you check in which is convenient enough. Really can’t ask for much more.

Only stayed one night and they had computer problems that night. The front desk agent was excellent, kind, and helped check us in on paper when they originally wanted to send us back to the airport for a different hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows better than most hotels. However, the place itself is lacking maintenance. There was damage to walls in my room and not all the lights worked.

Room smelled like wet fur. It got a little better when we jacked the air down. Left 45 min late for the airport because the shuttle driver wouldn't drive. Antonio the desk clerk was fabulous! He went and got the shuttle and we made it to the airport on time. Waited for over an hour for our shuttle on the way back from our trip and it never showed up. We ended up having to take an Uber back to our car. If you're using them for the airport, just don't.

Everything felt modern and clean!! Elisa was super sweet and helpful. She had fresh coffee ready at 6:00 am when we left. Wonderful stay!

This place is atrocious. Poor front desk service. Elevator didn't work, pool was closed on Memorial Day weekend, ice maker didn't work, no chair or couch or ANYTHING to put a suitcase on, the microwave smelled like fish and had the wrong glass tray so it didn't spin, very low water pressure. I will never stay here again. I recommend you don't stay here either.

The front desk associate Jalen did an amazing job!!! I called the property on behave for a guest, in which, who recently stayed there and left a jacket in the room. Jalen was quick and very efficient in assisting me with locating the lost item. Even though it wasn't confirmed that the jacket was still there. She did handle the situation with GREAT customer service and with a smile in her voice. Keep Up the good work. YOUR KILLING IT!!!!

This seems to be an older hotel and could use some updating. If you wanted to eat, you had to go into the Ramada which was attached. There was not enough staff to prepare food for the number of guests. The one guy there was working his tail off. They do have an airport shuttle which was very handy.

We only slept here for the night on our way out of town. The room was nice and clean. Only complaints are that the barn door for the bathroom was really noisy and the shower took forever to warm up. Otherwise seemed like a nice hotel.

When we checked in we were first put into a smoking room & the lights were not working. Then we got switched into a non smoking room which did not have a working tv remote, refrigerator smelled really bad and the coffee machine didn’t work. Expected more for the price we paid tbh

stayed overnight with a flight cancellation. clean room, comfortable bed, good climate control, direct tv but remote not working, keurig but no reg coffee. some of the construction and front desk\ shuttle service a little shoddy. good stay, a little rough around the edges.

Don’t stay here! The first room’s bathroom sink didn’t drain. The second room’s key fob stopped working. They offered us a third room that smelled like wet dog and kitty litter. We were stuck without our things until maintenance arrived quite a while later. In the morning we found out someone busted out our car window! Waited over an hour for the police to come, they didn’t show up!

This is a top notch, clean, friendly, quiet, and updated hotel. It has been a long time since I felt comfortable and safe in a hotel. So many reviews for hotels in Charlotte say vagrants are in the parking lot, loud noises, gun shots, unclean and feeling unsafe. I wasn't sure when I saw the hotel was located behind a gentlemen's club 🤔, but it felt completely safe in the parking lot. It was quiet when we arrived at 10pm. Location in relation to Charlotte airport was spot on. It's so close and easy. They offer shuttle service to the airport if needed. Very clean, up-to-date and cozy! Mini Keurig machines in the room filled with tea and ONLY one decaf coffee. They said they were waiting for supplies. Other than the coffee, which was no big deal, bc there was coffee in the lobby, was 1) the under shade didn't cover the whole window so the parking lot light could shine inside 2) the mini fridge would make annoying sounds every several minutes. We unplugged it and told the front desk.

The breakfast area needs to be demolished. The walk through the Clarion was so old hotel grimy smelly we went returned and several other parties got up and left. Radisson usually offers 2 bottles of water, but not present here. I love relying on those being there. Bathroom door didnt close. 1st hotel in my 53 years the hotel told me they have no extra blankets. Might not stay there again just due to that. Even husband thought bed coverings were paltry...very thin, albeit nice material. Nice bathroom, wall treatments, hvac, dresser/luggage area. New carpet and bathroom...very nice, almost swank, setting. Free shuttle to airport was key. Website and 800 no. state it runs from 7am but hotel says 24/7. Lyft only $10 into Uptown Charlotte.

  • 2/5 Kerry S. 1 year ago on Google
The room was OK, but it didn't seem as clean as it should be (as you can read from some of the other reviews here). It is disappointing that a hotel next to an airport doesn't have 24/7 check-in and an airport shuttle running after 11 pm. Although I can't fault them for this since it is listed on their website. However, I believe this should be offered since many travelers like me will arrive late. What is the problem at the hotel is the staff. The staff is just very grumpy, and it feels like an inconvenience to approach the front desk to check in or check out. I requested an airport shuttle to leave at 10 am the next morning, but the shuttle driver did not show up. I waited by the front desk for 20 minutes but no one was there, and I had to eventually find someone who was working in a back room. That person was just hanging out with their colleagues and seemed annoyed that I came to find them. Then they told me that I would need to wait for the next shuttle. I responded that I already requested for the shuttle time and was told I could have that! He finally called a driver who said they were 15 minutes away. I almost missed my flight because of all of this!

Hotel looked like it was under construction. Parking very limited. Rooms had a lot of broken things. No fresh towels after three days. Loud guests up and down hallway all night. Calls to front desk from room not answered. Pictures online must be old, hotel was not as pictured.
