We will start with check in. We paid for s suit and was given a room with only two beds. They told us it was where we booked fault and there wasn't anything they could do. So I showed them my confirmation and that I called after making the reservation and conformed with the hotel that we had a suit and they changed us to a suit. Our kids were super excited for the pool only to go there and it was green you couldn't see the bottom and it smelled HORRIBLE! Our rooms weren't cleaned that well and we only had one towel. When we asked for some towels the house keepers seemed annoyed that we were asking. Our family is also staying at the hotel and when they went to their room it wasn't even cleaned. They went down to the front desk and they put them in another room that was "cleaned" but I would say maybe the housekeepers spent 5 minutes in there. The beds were made but the bathroom wasn't cleaned and the floors hadn't been swept vacuumed or mopped. Overall this was not the best experience we've had.

My husband and I are on a family vacation with our son his wife and two children.. as we pulled away from the hotel this morning our daughter-in-law said that that was the best hotel she had ever been in and we totally agree having traveled the world extensively for years! Excellent friendly professional staff! God bless you all!

We arrived after long drive from Michigan. Got to our room only to be met with a smell that would make your toes curl. Was informed that there was nothing that could be done, they were full. Didn’t even offer to look for source of smell. I found it by opening the fridge and finding week old watermelon that ate through the plastic bag it was in!!! Front desk didn’t even send someone to clean, we had to. And for all we went through, after a month still haven’t heard from manager after numerous calls to the hotel. Heard they put points on a card, but once again have not seen it. Avoid this place at all costs, not worth it for the service and what they charge.

I called the Holiday Inn Express on Smith Corner Rd., Charlotte, NC and reserved a handicap room with a roll-in shower. When I arrived on November 12, 2022, I was given a regular room. I called the front desk and was told that they put another guest in the room I had reserved (there is only one). I was only staying for one night, but the other guest was staying four nights. I guess that made them more important than me. I was highly disappointed by their actions. I was told the room would be available on November 12th. My stay at this hotel was miserable because I am physically unable to get into a tub and the commode did not have any safety bars. I was afraid I would get hurt every time I used it. So I had to use the sink to wash up. When my husband used the shower, the water never got warm. The money I spent was not worth the room I was forced to stay in. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was despicable the way I was treated. I will never stay in any of your hotels again!!!!!!!

My family and I planned a get away for the weekend of 10/13/2023. We selected this hotel location to stay based on reviews and this was the worst experience! Upon arriving, the cleaning materials used to sanitize the rooms was horrid. I never smelled something so foul and intolerable. I had to instantly ask for some type of freshener from front desk. We also witnessed a roach in the bathroom. Then to make matters worse, the second night of being at this establishment; our car window was busted and broken into on the premise! Not only was I disturbed with our car being right outside the door and visible their camera’s; the staff had the nerve to express we was 1 out of 5 in the very parking lot that was broken into! How in the world did someone manage to break into 5 cars and staff not see Anything?! Then they nonchalantly inform us in the morning of the break in like it was no big deal! We had our kids who we no longer felt safe to bring back to that room and ended our stay early. Due to the weekend and no window repair open; we had to spend all day trying securing our window to ensure or kids are Safe on the ride back home. I immediately called coroparate as the whole ordeal appeared fishy like a scam that is done frequently at that establishment. This franchise will be persecuted as we are heavily talking with our Lawyers on this matter. Pictures from this horrid experience will be updated shortly. I would Never stay here again or another IHG establishment.

Stayed here for a few days while in town for work. Nice clean rooms. Very quiet at night. Nice breakfast setup in the morning that was well maintained. The location is good to being close to restaurants and shopping.

Had the most incredible experience ever dealing with a hotel. I was in town for the Renaissance festival and needed a safe, comfortable, affordable place to relax afterwards. Showed up to the front desk and met the most courteous gem ever. Crystal,you are absolutely amazing. She didn't even realize I was having a bad day, but her kind words and patience was like no other. After her kind words and positive energy, my trip from there on was great. Thank you Crystal,you rock!

Very nice hotel. Checking in was easy and quick. We liked it wasn’t too far from downtown and other places. The room was a great size and clean, but the room had an old odor to it. The lighting was very dim in the room and the bathroom. The bed sheets were very clean, and we liked it came with firm and soft pillows, but the bed was a little to hard for our liking. The shower had great water pressure and it was nice to have Dove products in the room. I would stay here again if I had to, but they really need to work on the odor in the room.

Very nice property. I love the renovations. However, I had an issue with checking out. When I arrived Friday, the 11-7 desk clerk let me know that as a Gold Elite member I could have a late check out of 1. On Sunday, the rude desk clerk working 7-3 did not want to let me check out that late. I had to rush and get out of the hotel because she was threatening to charge me even though I had a late check out. I think it's because I had a rewards night. If I would've paid full price, then I probably wouldn't even had an issue. So be careful using your rewards at this location.

Had a great stay there. Enjoyed the room upgrade with my IHG® membership. The pool was small but warm and that is great news since most pools are closed now. Plenty of large vehicle parking and it was easy to get in and out.

From the customer service checking in with Crystal to the lobby, room size and cleanliness of the entire building, this was a very positive experience staying at this location. The decor is a modern style and very tastefully decorated. I would highly recommend staying at this location.

Nice hotel for the price point. Clean rooms and nice accommodations, we utilized both the gym and the pool and enjoyed both. The breakfast is really nice! They had so many options for breakfast and everything was nice and fresh. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back.

Stopped here for an overnight stay on the way to Florida via 81/77. Close to the highway, GPS told us to turn on a different named road, but the address was correct. Got 2 Queens, we each stretched out I'm our own bed. It was very comfortable. Surrounding area and the light entering the windows were brighter than we're used to, but it posed no problems. Check in was friendly and easy, rooms are comfortable and clean. Bathroom floor can be slippery, so a towel is recommended when getting out of the shower. The free breakfast was fresh and good. No complaints at all. The buisness center was cool and comfortable. The common area/lobby was comfortable. Our room was 72° to start, but we used the thermostat to cool it further to our tastes. It was quick. If we make this trip again, this will be our halfway destination. Will stay again. It has a pool, fitness center, and other stuff that we were too tired to use. Other people will find better value than we did.

Hotel itself is fine but the walls and floors are very thin. A family was on the floor above us and the kids were running around and jumping and screaming at 6 am both days we were there. Sounded like they were about to come through the ceiling. Also lots of noise at night from other rooms. If you need quiet to sleep maybe don't stay here.

We stay at this location every year when we visit our daughter for the Renaissance faire. Rooms are clean, could use different pillows because they're not very fluffy. The hot breakfast is excellent however.

ZERO. STARS. AWFUL. First, let’s start with, the whole building smelled like weed when I walked in. Next, THEY GAVE AWAY MY ROOMS. I am an IHG diamond elite member, and I called to reserve two rooms, with a conjoining door because I had 3 little ones weeks before my stay. Checking in, they give me two rooms, not connected or anything with my Little’s, doors away. Then, when I go to confront and fix my issue, they had already given away my rooms && tried to fault me! Saying I was supposed to not only book with IHG, but then I’m supposed to call back && confirm my rooms! What the hell!? Who calls to book, hangs up, and then calls again to confirm that I correctly booked a room!? Not only was the front not accommodating, they didn’t care. could only give me a “suite” - also known as a room with two queen beds. Next, we call because we spent time and money on this, no consideration or discount for the worst inconvenience. Next, we get in the room and one of my girls pulls a pill from under the dresser && there is trash all in here!!!! && TWO. COCKROACHES!! Terrible. Just terrible! I would never recommend this hotel. It has gone CRAZY downhill && should not be considered part of IHG. I’d drop this hotel in a heartbeat. Also, beware of MOLD! Happy Birthday to my 9year old btw. Ruined her birthday guys. Thanks.
