It's a lovely place—a few minutes from the airport. There are many places to go, restaurants, and groceries. Clean surroundings and rooms. It is updated with an airport/ plane theme. Breakfast is excellent, but the pancake machine does not work correctly. Clean pool. The water is a bit cold; showers and towels are available in the pool area.

It’s very sad that I have to write this but this was the worst experience I have experienced at a Holiday Inn, or any hotel for that matter. I am a Spire Elite member with the IHG brand I love staying at H.I. when I am traveling for work it is my preferred hotel. I travel almost every week of the year staying with this brand and I have always been treated right. I stayed at this particular location because I am thinking about moving out to North Carolina in the near future so I used all of my points for 6 nights. The first night of my stay I realized I was low on towels and needed much more than 2 since my family was staying with me on this vacation of ours. When I went downstairs to ask the front desk for more towels I was surprised when they said “they don’t have extra towels” it was very odd because most hotels have an abundance of these items because they are necessary to have in a room. Whenever I’m staying at a hotel and ask for extra towels or pillows I always get extra with no hassle. I also asked if I could have room service the next day and was told to fill out a request form which I gladly did. Next day after we came back from our day out I come back to the room not cleaned at all. It was not serviced. I went back downstairs and talked to the front desk and told them of the situation and they assured me it would be fixed the next day since room service was no longer on the clock. So I filled out my second request form and was assured this one would be given to the room service staff and it would be “urgent”. Well after we came back from exploring Charlotte and the outside areas it was late and we walk into the room again not serviced. So I went back downstairs upset and told front desk what is going on!? I’m filling out room service forms every night but it’s not being done. They apologized and basically looked clueless and played dumb as if they had no idea why it’s not getting serviced. They had me fill out another Form!!! And ASSURED me that they will clean it. Well I’ll tell you what. SIX NIGHTS and my room was NEVER serviced. 4 people had to share 2 towels for SIX nights. It was the worst stay I’ve ever had with any hotel and the staff at this place could care less. Among other issues, the breakfast area pancake machine was broken the entire time, the coffee was almost always empty. They were hosting a quince type party in the main meeting room and back of the hotel one night which was blasting music until about 1am one night. Hallways were littered with trash and the carpets were always filthy. This hotel is a VERY nice hotel but the staff and management of this place seem to not care about accommodating their guests or doing their job. If you are thinking about booking this hotel and actually want basic service and to be able to have clean towels and clean sheets. I would advise you to go elsewhere. I would never stay at this hotel again and it’s sad that I got this terrible experience on my vacation of all times. I will definitely book with Best Western next time I am in Charlotte.

My family and I stayed in this hotel for just one night, but I was still so impressed! Specifically by the staff who were all so sweet and efficient! The continental breakfast was very nice, and the woman putting it out was so sweet to literally everyone, greeting and engaging with them. She even handed out cookies to go which was very cute. She seemed actually so happy, which made everyone else happy too! I wish I knew her name! And a big shoutout to Ron the shuttle driver who got us to the airport incredibly efficiently! (So efficiently in fact we didn’t get to give him a tip, which will haunt me :(Sorry Ron) He was the absolute sweetest and was so helpful! Furthermore the hotel itself was nice too, and made for a very pleasant stay even if we were only there for like 9 hours :)

This is a very clean and well kept hotel. I actually left another hotel for several reasons to stay here. I arrived anxious and worried, but once I entered the hotel I immediately felt safe and heard and cared for. I had a small issue that I won't even mention details of because it was not their fault, and it was handled beautifully. The front staff was excellent and when I presented my issue, they immediately flagged down a gentleman to escort me back to my room to check it out. Beautiful interior and exterior spaces. Spacious and clean. Friendly staff. I wish my stay had been longer!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on 8/11/22. I was very impressed with the decor and attentive staff. Upon entering the hotel I was greeted. My room was nicer than a room I’ve paid double the cost at the Marriott. The breakfast was delish. It was self service which I appreciate. Usually the breakfast served at a hotel is enough to feed a toddler. What I appreciate most out of my stay was, how nice Luke was. I left my ID at the hotel I stayed in the night prior. Luke offered to take me to pick it up. He did not have to do that. With my ID I wouldn’t have been able to fly home. Thank you again Luke! Oh before I forget thank you to the shuttle driver Al. He was very nice and I appreciate the conversation this morning.

This was an amazing hotel experience. I had no complaints. I asked to be in a handicapped room due to my knee and I got just that. The food was Delicious and they had turkey sausage I did not eat pork and I felt like they got it they were spot on or what's the customer and they get it right. This place really impressed me from the service the food the room the staff the cleanliness the location everything was great. I want to come back there when I when I visit again awesome experience 5 stars nothing less.

I stay at this hotel at least once per year for work, often several times a year. It's always clean. The staff is always courteous. They have a good breakfast and a decent choice of amenities. It's nice having a hotel I feel comfortable I can rely on for a, practically, guaranteed good stay.

Clean sheets, spacious room, hot showers. We got a king standard with a pull out couch. Made me wish we brought out youngest. Nowadays, when you stay in any hotel more than a day housekeeping is optional. As soon as I called for a vacuum cleaning, housekeeper was knocking on my door. Would recommend.

Good hotel. The people checking you in and out are nice and helpful. The main lobby is newer and is very clean. Music is loud for some reason. Not sure why. Breakfast was good. Better than the typical complementary hotel breakfast. Shuttle needs to be called for when you arrive at the airport. The airport shuttle starts at 5am. That had me taking a 50$ Uber that I was not planning on as I had a 6am flight. I liked the coffee station and flight departure monitor next to it in the lobby. A nice touch. Room was very clean and nice. Would give it a 5 but the air con is old and loud. There is nothing right nearby the hotel. Kinda tucked down a road. Very good space, very nice and happy people working there. I recommend it b

Brian (at the front desk) was very helpful and professional. However my bed was not that firm (it was like someone kids jumped in the bed for a long time) compared to the Hampton Inn. The room was clean. The shower head worked very well(we had lots of hot water). There were two tvs in our room (requested a suite). The two tvs pulled out and twisted from left to right. Enjoyed the parking lot view. You can hear the airplanes (I mean it is by an airport) however it’s not that bad. I heard a loud booming noise from the other room (walls are thin). Coffee was made fresh (very tasty). Location of the hotel not in a good area once you go up the street (kinda hood) but overall not a bad hotel . We went to eat at Midnight Diner; which stays open till 4:30am. We enjoyed this restaurant because it was convenient. The food there was good if you enjoy Soul food (Very busy tho).

We stayed at this hotel the night before we left on our trip for the week. That stay was ok...no soap in the room, 2 towels when we booked a double queen suite with a pullout bed for 5 people. We stayed again upon our return for a night and it was absolutely horrible. No complaints with the staff at all as they were very friendly; however, the rooms were filthy. The first room had hair everywhere from the floor right inside the door to the bathroom to literally every pillow on the beds and the sheets. Leftover food and drinks from previous guests left in the cabinet where the safe is, again no hand soap in the bathroom. Went to a second room and not quite as bad but the same thing, hair everywhere. The third room wasn't at all what we booked but at 2:30 in the morning and my wife ready to drive 2 1/2 hours home and then back the next day for my sons game in the area, I said lets just hit the bed. The third room had a cookie on the carpet right in front of the couch and then we were awakened the next morning by loud music and shouting next door. Worst stay we've had in a long long time. I hate writing a review like this; however, we should have never been charged for the night. I would be thoroughly embarassed if that was the experience that I provided my guest. Needless to say, we were charged and it will be the last time we stay at this property which is unfortunate.

Stayed here due to an overnight layover. Staff was good, facilities were okay. I thought there was a pervasive moldy/dank smell when I got to my floor (#2) but nothing visible - everything looked very clean, sheets smelled washed. Staff was very friendly, both shuttle drivers were hilarious. The (black) guy that brought me back to the airport was especially helpful - i realized, after getting in my room and getting ready for bed, that my phone charger was in my main bag of luggage (that was still at the airporr). My phone was on 10% and I had an international flight coming up - he made sure to stop at a gas station after hearing me complain about my phone being almost dead and no stores in the airport being open yet (this was @ 5am). He really didn't have to do that but it was appreciated. Overall, the only reason for a less than stellar reviews is as follows: Charged me an additional $25 for food even though I paid in cash for the food I bought from them and which totalled $11 and some change. A microwave meal and a single Budweiser amounting to a $25 charge for "dining" when I paid cash and did NOT eat breakfast because I left on the very first shuttle seems odd *Edited following response from business* Luke, thank you for your timely and detailed response here! I called in to the hotel to inquire about the additional charge and was told it was "for dining." Nothing was mentioned about being for incidentals or that it would be removed from the final amount - simply that it was a charge for food. Again, thanks for the response - review updated.

We stayed here on new year's eve for our visit to Charlotte. The hotel is modernly designed. It looks very nice! It was very clean and has a great lobby. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were very comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful also. The breakfast was very good especially those cinnamon rolls. The only thing I didn't like was the location. It is on a back road off of I85 and about 15 minutes from the downtown area. You can hear all of the traffic from the interstate. I still love the hotel though.

My wife and I were visiting family and friends in Charlotte area. We normally stay at Holiday Inn Express in Mt Holly but they were booked solid due to workers for new hospital. Our first impressions were very good. Very clean and spacious and friendly staff. A small issue at first. Went into room and it was very hot. Thermostat was set at 71, temp at 80. So we went back to desk and got a different room, which was great. Room was clean and very comfy. Second issue, we left at 10:00 AM to visit family and returned at 8:00 PM. The room had not been touched. Now, we make up our beds but would appreciate emptying the trash. Breakfast was fair. Hard scrambled eggs, Turkey sausage patties & links. There was a pancake making machine that was great. We spent 3 nights first visit. Room was cleaned. I looked forward to Gravy & Biscuits but they never showed. We left for a week at Myrtle Beach, then returned for another 3 nights, requesting the same room. Room and staff were great. Not so much breakfast area next morning. Garbage cans were overflowing. Two of the juices were out. The pancake machine was out of batter. Pastries were out. No fruit. We had cereal. About 10 minutes later the Attendant came in, never checked the food, instead put on earplugs and started taking out trash. Next morning we went to Bojangles. Pretty nice place but definitely room for improvements.

Our stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlotte Airport was absolutely fantastic! From check-in to check-out, the staff was warm and accommodating. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, making us feel right at home. What makes this hotel even more special is its proximity to Bank of America Stadium, which is perfect for Panthers games. It's become our preferred choice whenever we're in town for a game. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, ensuring we started our day off right. We highly recommend Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlotte Airport to anyone visiting for a Carolina Panthers game or any other occasion.

The place was immaculate and so is the service. Mr. Al was a great driver that picked us up from the airport and shuttled us in. We made it in time for breakfast and the staff and front desk were nothing but top level. Always polite and went the extra mile to accommodate our family. Will be coming back for sure!! 6 Stars!!!
