The check in was nice, and the room itself was nice and clean. But unfortunately, at some point during my stay, the building was evacuated due to some pipes bursting and I was left to stand outside for 3 hours before being able to return to my room, which it was about 1am at that point. Upon check out, I asked for some level of discount to my stay since I was forced out, but the receptionist wasn't very helpful and was rather combative. She claimed that the GM would be giving people points, which I didn't want as I don't stay at hotels often enough for that to be of any actual use. She then claimed that the hotel was "sabotaged" and try to use that as a reason why I didn't deserve anything. I emailed the management team, I'm not hopeful. For my future visits to Charlotte, definitely won't come back to this hotel if this is the level of care I am to receive from employees.

We were in town for a Hornets game and the Residence Inn was a great place to stay! It was just a quick walk across the street to get to the Spectrum center, which was nice in the cold. Our room was clean and comfortable and the kitchen setup gave us flexibility for prepping our own food. Also the hotel restaurant/bar was a great spot for a drink and food after the game. Last minute we had to bring our two small dogs and we were pleased with the setup they had for an easy to access outdoor area (on the 8th floor). We had one issue with our final bill which was quickly resolved - great customer service is always appreciated!

Staff here is amazing! Night-time desk lady is awesome! I'm mad at myself for forgetting her name! Rooms super clean. Food is great. Breakfast workers are funny, friendly, and very helpful! Rooftop barr on floor 22 is sweet! Bar on the 5th floor, bartenders are great, food is delicious! Definitely staying here again.

Upon arrival, parking situation was confusing when told to go to the fourth floor, it is on the bottom and not on the top. Upon check in, I was not greeted but just asked for my ID and payment as usually I am at least greeted kindly thanking me for being an Marriott member. The location was great and easy to walk to the Spectrum Center. Breakfast was awful and we had a 15+ minute wait multiple times to get to our room due others who were going to the rooftop bar as I was attempting to go to my room even though there was multiple elevators. The room was spacious with an incredible view but when taking off a towel from the hook, I noticed on the back of the towel there was a large makeup stain that was hidden and I would not have noticed if I did not take the towel off of the hook. I recommend this hotel for couples who plan on going out for breakfast the following morning and just want to be near the Spectrum Center and don't mind the elevators constantly smelling like booze and drugs.

Out of the five or so staff members that I interacted with, one of them had customer service skills. The rest were not very welcoming or warm. Not the southern hospitality that I kept hearing about.

The staff was so wonderful, from the parking area all the way to the desk and beyond, they were all smiles and warm greetings. The rooms were nice, clean, spacious and set up for extended stays. There was a restaurant in the hotel and other food options in walking distance. Can't say enough about how helpful everyone was. I would certainly stay there again if I am ever in Charlotte again.

Beware, they double charge you for parking. I stayed in this hotel on Oct 15-17, 2023. Got charged $40 for valet parking and $29 for long term parking on both nights. I parked myself. I never used valet parking! Called the hotel for a refund, but they can't issue it without the manager's approval. The manager is never in the office. I am leaving my messages with the front desk for two weeks now. Today I spoke to Anna who promised to give my message to the manager. I feel I need to escalate this to an executive level of Marriott. Very frustrated.

Beautiful rooms. Up to date!!! Clean! Great location!!! And the staff!! The women at the front desk!! Very nice! And welcoming! And the kitchen staff as well.. Breakfast on the other hand….was awful!! The eggs didn’t taste like eggs! Unfortunately there wasn’t any sugar-free syrup for the pancakes, and the bananas 🍌 where black and rotten. The room that we at least stayed in.. the filter did seemed like it might needed changing. Other than that! Great stay.

Stayed here for a concert. Location cannot be beat, and with proximity to the Spectrum Center and the train, the noise protection is next level. We were next to the front desk and heard NOTHING. Would easily stay here again. Service was great. Location was great. The elevators and TV were slightly haunted. But what isn’t haunted in a hotel?

Great place to stay with family when attending a basketball game...or anytime you want to be in the center of the Queen City.

I was here for a business trip the place is located into the heart of the city. Fast elevators, nice rooms with great views, decent American breakfast options. With restaurants and a rooptop lounge, i heard a good place again. I was a bit disappointed with room service that says your suit will be getting serviced every alternate day,but they did not show until i asked. But overall, it was a great experience.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in from a service standpoint. It is clean and all the rooms are in great shape. The main attraction is the staff. I am a Titanium Elite with Marriott. Which means I travel a lot. The service here is the best of any hotels I've stayed. Better then a Ritz Carleton or any of the resorts I've stayed in. The staff at the front desk goes out of their way to accommodate you. Sharee especially is above and beyond. You cannot go wrong staying here. Its also right in the heart of Charlotte uptown. We are here frequently as our daughter lives in Charlotte

Hotel in prime location with beautiful city views. The staff were very courteous and helpful. I would have given a five stars, but the room we stayed in was not cleaned properly (floors not mopped, shower not cleaned, food on lamp shade) and smelled like a kennel. Marriott needs to allot certain rooms for animals due to guests having allergies. Parking is very confusing and cost is $29 per night. Overall, the stay was not bad.

Our room was comfortable and had all the conveniences we needed and then some. It was an easy minute walk to the Red Eye Diner. Will stay here again.

The biggest issue was 4 elevators, but a 10 minute wait for the only one that seemed to stop at our floor to take us up to our room. Other than that, room & view were awesome. Great amenities.

There isn't enough words to explain how pleasant this hotel staff is. I have a son that is autistic and loves windows and higher floors it helps with his anxiety. I called before arrival and Cherie made sure that I had a room assigned to me with large windows and a great view. At check-in Keke and Terrance were more than helpful and beyond warming ( which it was something that was needed after the long day I had ). I had one small issue with my bathroom and Cherie made sure that I got what I needed and put me infront of the right people to speak to for the proper resolution. I absolutely love this staff. I have yet to meet anyone that hasn't been polite and or helpful from housekeeping to the maintenance staff and the front desk team. I will recommend anyone staying uptown charlotte to stay here first before looking for other locations. Views are excellent and location is great but the staff is really the true gift here.

Great experience here, staff was friendly and professional. Rooms are nicely appointed for the price point and my titanium status earned me a sweet upgrade. Great location for business traveler's.

During check-in the receptionist Kim was extremely shady. She said she couldn’t find our booking and told us to contact customer service. We then proceeded to step away to call customer service but decided otherwise and returned without speaking with anyone from customer service. When we got back she said she found the booking while she was assisting another guest. The delay in check in caused us to miss a reservation we had. While checking in she stressed to us the fact that it was a non smoking hotel but didn’t stress nor mention that to the previous guest. This took away from the overall experience during our stay. Soap dispenser was also out. Other than this everything was good.

The customer service was excellent. Check in is on the 14th floor which was an interesting experience, but the desk rep made us feel like family. The room was very clean; the bed was very comfortable; the shower had excellent hot water pressure; overall no complaints with this hotel. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but these days (COVID) I guess a simple continental breakfast is to be expected. BEST OF ALL, this hotel is DIRECTLY across the street from the Spectrum Center--we could look out the window and see when they were starting to let in the crowds. This was great for our trip since we were there for the New Edition concert. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again in the future.
