Breakfast costs extra and it isn't very good. However, everything else about the hotel is excellent. Room, location, and exercise and pool facility. Staff is inexperienced but eager to help. Plenty of parking in the front. Circle K adjoining for late night snacks.

No issues at all during our stay here. I did everything through the mobile app and it was extremely easy. The ladies at the front desk were nice and being a Marriot Bonvoy member makes the whole process easier. ✨💯

I stayed here for one night, and they charged me $168.28 However, there was no complimentary bottled water in the room. This was an unusual experience for me, and I do not recommend this hotel. Please reconsider spending your money here. When I asked the reception lady about this, she was very rude. Additionally, the AC or heater in the room is old and produces significant noise.

Great hotel conveniently located on the edge of Ballantyne off of highway 521 and 485 is just down the street, uptown is about 20 minutes. Rooms are clean and decent. They have nice amenities inside and outside.

***edited*** After having a rather disasterous start this morning, I came back to find my room refreshed, including 6 complimentary bottles of water and a hand written note of apology. It's the little things that make all the difference for a traveller. This is not a holiday destination type of hotel. People that stay here have busy schedules and places to be. Any interruption to their schedule or agenda can have a negative impact. So while they ruined my morning with a series of avoidable mistakes, they made my night by doing the right thing as well as a small nice thing which was a pleasant surprise. ****************** I was originally gonna give it a better review but after the morning I just had, I have to drop it to one. The staff is really nice and sweet but are severely lacking in adequate training. Why does it take 3 people to charge me for breakfast only to be told after waiting for 15 minutes that they're out of everything and in fact don't have any breakfast. I would have gone elsewhere to get breakfast instead of waiting around. Whoever is in charge of management and training should be fired immediately. How can you run out of something as basic as bottled water let alone stuff for breakfast. My room didn't get refreshed for 4 days. I'm really surprised that this is branded as a Marriott. It's only a Courtyard but come on. Just get the basics right at least.

After travelling 1,500 miles to find out that a hotel we had booked cancelled our reservation, Lucille at Courtyard Marriott was a lifesaver. With no idea where we would stay, Lucille did everything she could to give us a room with a beautiful view. After walking half a mile with suitcases in tow, she greeted us at the lobby with a smile and two cold waters. Lucille and every staff member at the Courtyard were so kind and courteous. Our panic was turned into a pleasant stay by their thoughtfulness. We'll be sure to stay here again if I'm ever in Ballantyne.

We had a great stay! The pool is heated, gym was functional & clean, the room was clean and spacious. Parking was free! The only reason I've dropped service to 3 stars is because their "cafe" was out of SO MANY menu items. They also have no kids options and charge $14 for airfryer chicken strips & fries. Yikes.

My stay in this hotel was very pleasant. The staff’s customer service, courtesy and hospitality was top notch and staff members were extremely helpful… a big KUDOS to Tish and Scarlet for the going above and beyond mindset .. I really did appreciate you. The room was properly clean and did enjoy the comfort of the space, mini frog and wide TV. The location was perfect & price was accommodating for the season. Big bonus free parking.

Nice little hotel. The area was very quiet and felt very safe despite the gas station in the front. There's a cool walking path there as well behind the hotel. I didn't get a chance to swim, but the pool looked nice and clean. It's a little small but not bad. It never seemed overly crowded even with it being an indoor pool. The TVs didn't have apps for other streaming services other than Netflix and Showtime, but you can watch the Showtime for free, which was nice.

Excellent stay as always. Front desk staff very friendly and professional. Room is clean and well appointed (though a microwave in the room would be nice). Kaya is fantastic at The Bistro....we have enjoyable conversation and she always remembers my beverage of choice, even though it's 3 months between my stays! Great location and highly recommended.

Great location and the staff was friendly.. Keesha Lowery went above and beyond to help me get checked in. She even recommended the food at their bistro. Burger was big and super juicy! Thanks again Keesha and the friendly staff for making my stay a great experience. Will recommend this hotel if you are ever in Charlotte.

My stay was truly amazing! I travelled from Miami to Charlotte for an event. Upon arriving at the hotel I was pleasantly greeted and welcomed by Keesha. She was very informative of things to do in the area. My room was clean and relaxing. Thank you housekeeping team. :) I will definitely be back whenever I’m in Charlotte. Thanks Keesha for an amazing experience.

I come through Charlotte every single month and stayed at the Ballantine Courtyard for the first time tonight - it’s great. Extremely clean, very comfortable. Staff is awesome and friendly and I will come back. I grabbed a couple glasses of wine and a salad at the bar for dinner from Kaya tonight - she is so friendly efficient and helpful. This is a very nice hotel for a business traveler - I will be back!

Great hotel! Nice and clean. I was in Charlotte on business and stayed at the Courtyard for 3 nights. The rooms were clean and the Bistro was great. The entire staff was extremely pleasant and courteous. Kaya and Mary were very kind… Mary even remembered my name. I will definitely be back!

Our bartender Kaya really made our stay fantastic. She was very attentive and even remembered our drinks of choice each night. Highly recommend this hotel just for the bar service.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. I was especially grateful for the staff and how helpful, pleasant and thoughtful they were. Keesha Lowery was one who sticks out the most. She was a great help to me. Every company needs an employee like her.

Great price for the night. Nice hotel. The lady at the bar was very rude. She didn’t even speak just walked up to the bar, from sitting on her phone, waited for me to speak. The food was absolutely horrible.

Beds are SO hard and service was not good. Came in after a long day of travel and work event. Husband was hungry so they sold him a frozen hot pocket, gave us room keys, went all the way up to room with our stuff and they didn't work. Went back down, meanwhile everyone smelled like weed, and the front desk gentleman had given us the wrong room number on the keys. Went back up, tried correct room and one of the keys worked. Husband searched for a microwave and there isn't one in the room. Called front desk and the man who sold him the hot pocket failed to mention the ONLY microwave was downstairs in the lobby where he bought it. for the cost, you could stay anywhere else for a better night's rest, in my opinion. Barely slept at all.

This is similar to a Motel 6 at Marriott prices. Staffing issues apparently in all areas of front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance. This property is under construction and has been since 2019. Areas of the floors and the courtyard patio are closed. Housekeeping is lame - room had debris on the floor, room lacked basic supplies like soap and tissues. The housekeepers did not come to my room during the stay. Water flow out of the faucet was at a trickle. Asked for maintenance to stop and fix, but nope. Fit and finish overall is sketchy. For instance, the toilet was not straight on the wall and tipped nearly 20° from level to the floor (how would a plumber install it like that and it got approved?) Front desk staff shortage meant no food was served on my first night here. I will not be back.

Room was not cleaned very well, there was hair on the floor as well as food by the trash can from a previous guest. Roof was apparently under construction although no one notified us when we checked in so we found out when hammers and drilling started at 7am that was so loud it was impossible to sleep. Did not eat at the bistro but those that did said it was over priced and not good. Seemed like the building was just very old and not taken care of. A lot of painted over rust and leaky pipes and other noticeable wear and tear on the building. Price was good though so if you just need a bed near Charlotte for cheap it works.

It's an older facility. The bathroom could definitely be cleaner. The furniture is dated.

Worst Courtyard I've ever stayed at. I'm Platinum level and they didn't have my requested room type (balcony) and didn't appear to care. Pool's not open. Bar's not open. Room was clean, but mediocre. Shower was handheld only. No tissues. Very disappointing...

We stay at Marriotts about 20x per year and now thinking of looking elsewhere. Marriott cutting cost so much that the bath area pictured was like a Motel 6! King bed was comfortable but tiny sink area suitable for only 1 person/room and awful glaring industrial lighting. No way for a female traveler to put on makeup. There was a long mirror on opposite wall but lighting just as bad. Coffee maker also didn’t work and bistro offerings have gone downhill - microwaved mush.
