Stayed at the Morehead for a wedding this past weekend. We were repeatedly told to make the place our own. Service can't be beat - Xzavier is an amazing wonderful person! He's extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and jumps right in to lend a hand/help with any need and Elizabeth was friendly and helpful with both the setup and my food allergies for breakfast. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again - thanks for a great weekend!

A awesome place! We spent 4 nights there, had a rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception there this past weekend. It was beyond incredible. The venue, the staff, the food, the rooms were all wonderful. What a hidden gem. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and well appointed Inn, comfortable rooms, nice privacy, good location close in to downtown. Breakfast was an excellent added bonus. Loved our stay.

I photographed a wedding here in the October and sincerely hope to be back for another one soon. I loved working with Jill and the Morehead Inn team. They took a rainy weekend and turned it into an intimate, cozy celebration. There are countless gorgeous backdrops for portraits both inside and outside, with a lot of historic charm for a classic, timeless feel. I highly recommend considering Morehead Inn for you wedding or celebration, you will not be disappointed!

Nestled on the edge of residential area & within easy drive to downtown. And also within easy walking distance to restaurants. We stayed here for a wedding and the service was wonderful. Our room, The Dilworth Room, was cozy & comfortable. It even had a balcony to sit on over looking the back courtyard. The food for the wedding reception and our morning breakfasts, we're delicious. Great southern hospitality.

Absolutely excellent! Such a lovely venue. Clean, tidy, with such a fantastic atmosphere for a romantic weekend away. Xavier (Operations Manager) was excellent and professional. I would 100% recommend the Morehead Inn for weekend city breaks. Excellent restaurants and entertainment activities only a short distance from the city. 5 STARS!

My experience here was AWFUL and the only interactions I've had with the inn were nasty, rude, and left me shaken. They called me on my way there to say they'd be leaving early and would leave my keys in an envelope. This didn't particularly bother me since I know it's just a small inn. The trouble came when I had a problem and couldn't get in touch with anyone. I did NOT enjoy my stay. In fact, it was so awful, I left after an hour! I called both help line numbers four times, left messages, wrote a note on that I left on the front desk, emailed, and literally stood in the center of the hotel yelling for help and received NO reply. I didn't even get a call back from the emergency help number. Ever. The issue is that the french doors leading to the garden from my room (Hawthorne) did not lock properly. The keys I had didn't fit the deadbolt, and there was only a small latch at the top of the door. This didn't close properly and when I pulled, I could open the door several inches even with the lock still in place. I tried to barricade it with furniture, but the doors open out to the garden instead of into the room. As a young woman traveling alone, I was totally freaked out. I couldn't sleep there. Even scarier was that I was the only person in the whole place (or at least I assume, since I ran around calling for help and no one answered and there were no other cars in the lot) It was very concerning that no one EVER returned my calls. I was hoping for the offer of a refund since I didn't even end up staying and I had to pay for another hotel. I chose Morehead because I thought I'd be safe, but I've never been more creeped out in my life. I finally got a nasty, defensive email back a week later telling me I was wrong and crazy. Something else a young woman loves to hear! I had also called and left a message with a question before I booked, which was never returned, and I emailed before my stay with a separate question. All of these were unanswered. I come to Charlotte frequently for work, but even if I could lock my ground floor room, the customer service was enough to scare me off for good!

Wow! We couldnโ€™t believe this gem right in the header of the city best parks, 7-10min Uber to anything, and with a beautiful breakfast, glimpse of the gilded age, and hostess with pleasantries for days! The manager surprised us with a little tour and history of the house and every need was met. We will surely visit Charlotte again and wonโ€™t stay anywhere else! Spacious carriage house with personal fenced garden, top notch amenities, fabulous breakfast to boot.

This bed and breakfast was wonderful...start to finish. Breakfast was elegant but not enough variety. Beautiful grounds and rooms made up for any shortfalls. I'll go again ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

Stayed overnight. The house itself is gorgeous with things to notice at every turn. Staff was warm, friendly, relaxed but professional. The bed was tall but very comfortable and I loved having a sitting room of our own (Berkeley). Quiet and restful but easy Uber to venue (. Bonnie Raitt).morning breakfast delicious and fresh. Definitely hoping to stay again in future

Beautiful accommodations, what a charming place. From the moment I arrived at the Inn, I knew it would be a relaxing and tranquil stay. My flight was delayed, and the staff at the Inn were very accommodating and kind. Although I spent a short time there on business, I would love to return. It was beyond perfect! I appreciate you all for making me feel so welcome.

This place is very unorganized and while the employees are nice they clearly cannot communicate with each other. I booked 3 nights for last week way back in August and not only did they mess up the name on the reservation, but they also messed up how many nights we were supposed to be there and kept walking in the room on the 3rd day. Even though my name, number, and email were given at the time of reservation they seemed to have lost all of this information and did not contact me directly. I had a friend staying in the room with me who was sick the last day and instead of contacting me, they kept bothering him to discuss their mistake. Overall on our 3rd day, the staff came into our room 4 times to have the same conversation. The wifi was down our entire stay and they never fixed it. Our room was incredibly hot because the unit connected to our room was broken and they also never had that fixed. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and was the 1 upside to this stay. For the cost of this inn and the experience, I would recommend staying at a chain hotel instead.

Wonderful and charming old building. Comfortable bed, great great shower. My own room did not have AC, which did not bother me but may give others pause

I travel alone and often stay in B&Bโ€™s. This one was wonderful. All around friendly staff and great accommodations. The bed was comfortable, shower worked great, quiet room. Breakfast was excellent. Location felt safe. Definitely going to be my place to stay when Iโ€™m in Charlotte.

For our daughter's wedding the Morehead Inn was the perfect venue. The staff was very communicative about what they would be doing and very accommodating to all of our request. They were present late into the evening and interactive with all the vendors in a seamless manner that took 'almost' all the stress off of an exciting day. A courtyard wedding followed by a patio reception and then dinner in the main living room, dancing in the ballroom followed by a very 'late night' around a large outdoor fire pit with family made for a perfect weekend. The rooms were well equipped, clean and spacious and we received several comments about how tasty the food was. The breakfast each morning was special as well and very filling. The Inn shows the grandeur of a manor home with a few wrinkles but all in all, well attended. Kudos to Chief Engineer Chris, Hannah and all the staff at the Morehead Inn!!

Set a beautiful property and a wonderful staff. Hannah at the front desk was beyond incredible- she did everything she could to make sure that we felt comfortable and went over and beyond expectations. Highly recommend staying here or getting your photos done.

We had a wonderful stay here on our way down to Savannah. Rooms - the decor in the common areas was jaw-dropping if you love vintage furniture. We took a moment to sit and take in each room and appreciate all the work that went into it. The renovations were done fabulously true to the era. In our bedroom there so many cute, thoughtful touches (robes, heavenly scented soaps and lotions) and also the bed was extremely comfortable. The keyless entry was also very helpful. Breakfast - excellent. I didn't expect a two-course, gourmet breakfast but it was such a charming surprise that really added to the experience. Service - Top tier thanks to Philomena who is just the sweetest! We really enjoyed chatting with her. She made us feel so welcomed and at home, it was truly such a special experience getting to know her. I would come back just to see her again. 10/10 would recommend this adorable bed and breakfast.

Came to Charolette Nc for a football game as for the hotels in the area jacked up the prices MHI didnโ€™t and let me tell you Iโ€™d rather stay here than any major change itโ€™s an older style setting and it surprised my wife I chose here after checking in the lady escorted us to our room and explained everything to us great job to the staff only negative I can think of is the TV is super small hard to see if youโ€™re laying on the bed but itโ€™s not a dealbreaker I would definitely recommend and stay here again
