I
rarely
write
hotel
reviews,
but
this
stay
warrants
one.
My
family
and
I
tend
to
travel
on
mini
getaways
at
least
once
per
month.
This
trip
happened
to
be
my
daughter's
6th
birthday
.
Per
her
request
she
wanted
a
mini
vacation
instead
of
a
big
birthday
party.
She
wanted
a
short
drive
but
then
I
found
out
my
grandma's
health
had
declined
and
time
is
probably
limited.
So
we
did
a
combined
birthday/visit
great
grandma
trip.
I
had
high
hopes
for
this
hotel
based
on
reviews,
but
I
went
back
and
forth
on
this
hotel
and
a
more
expensive
one
that
didn't
offer
a
guarantee
on
a
heated
pool.
Our
experience
was
pretty
crazy
so
I
wanted
to
leave
a
review
for
anyone
questioning
whether
to
book
this
hotel
or
not.
I
won't
sway
you
one
way
or
another,
but
I
will
hit
on
our
cons
and
pros.
Let
me
start
with
the
pros
1.
When
I
called
to
ask
whether
the
heated
pool
was
operational,
the
male
employee
was
so
professional
and
friendly
that
he
honestly
sold
me
on
booking.
2.
The
pool
was
operational
and
while
it
wasn't
hot
per
se,
it
was
much,
much
better
than
the
ice
boxes
we
have
experienced
in
the
past
30
days
(
savanmah
ga,
Orlando
FL
and
Walterboro
sc
were
all
quite
cold
in
the
past
30
days).
3.
The
room
is
a
nice
size
with
2
tvs.
4.
The
lady
who
does
breakfast
is
very
sweet.
Now
for
the
cons:
1.
I
have
3
kids...7
years,
6
years
and
5
months.
I
noted
this
in
my
reservation.
We
got
what
we
thought
was
an
awesome
room.
We
had
a
pool
view.
Too
bad
we
were
right
next
to
the
stairwell.
We
heard
kids
running
up
and
down
all
hours
of
the
night.
It
kept
waking
up
our
baby
which
meant
poor
sleep
for
is
all.
2.
Yes,
the
above
isn't
quite
the
hotels
fault,
but
I
did
make
them
aware
and
nothing
changed
despite
us
being
there
4
days
and
3
nights.
If
you
happen
to
book,
forego
the
extra
cost
of
a
deluxe
fee
because
it
gets
you
nothing
more
than
a
stairwell
room
and
you
will
hear
kids
running
all
night
long.
3.
The
crowds.
They
clearly
give
good
discounted
rates
to
groups.
We
saw
tons
of
family
reunion
groups
come
and
go.
We
didn't
get
to
enjoy
those
discounts
but
definitely
had
to
deal
with
the
ramifications
of
group
rates
and
overcrowding
of
breakfast
and
pool
area.
4.
Breakfast
is
good
if
you
are
staying
for
one
night.
Any
additional
nights,
expect
the
same
exact
thing.
No
decent
variations.
Sausage
every
single
morning
and
typical
hotel
eggs.
I
really
missed
the
variety
we
get
at
other
hotels.
5.
Management
is
less
than
stellar.
I
told
you
I
complained
about
kids
running
and
waking
my
baby
up
constantly.
Well
then
comes
a
1:45
am
fire
alarm.
We
had
to
get
all
3
kids
out
quickly
and
stand
outside.
Then
I
learned
some
very
concerning
things
about
another
guest
of
the
hotel.
I
spoke
with
hotel
staff
about
my
previous
complaints
and
this
new
concern.
The
employee
was
very
professional
but
management
did
nothing
to
address
the
problems...they
continued
the
next
night.
6.
Towels/housekeeping...good
luck.
They
are
"
short
staffed".
7.
No
early
check
ins
allowed
whatsoever.
Basically
a
bless
your
heart
response
from
the
female
employee
when
we
inquired....bc
again
short
staffed.
Didn't
even
bother
to
inquire
if
room
was
ready.
It's
no
its
ands
or
buts,
they
just
won't
do
it.
8.
Our
"deluxe
room"
view
was
of
IHOP
and
a
toilet.
Legit
a
toilet
in
the
grass
that
my
7
year
old
pointed
out
was
full
of
trash.
Glad
we
paid
that
extra
money
for
the
deluxe
view...
9.
They
only
have
2
luggage
carts.
So
good
luck
if
this
is
a
stopover
or
lots
of
bags
kind
of
vacation.
We
legit
had
to
sit
in
the
lobby
and
beg
rhe
person
bringing
a
cart
out
to
give
it
to
us
next.
While
we
thoroughly
enjoyed
the
pool
(it
was
definitely
the
best
pool
of
the
last
4
hotels
we
stayed
in),
we
wouldn't
do
it
again.
We
would
have
gone
with
a
hotel
who
valued
families
more.
We
should
have
been
offered
to
move
rooms
away
from
the
stairwell
or
offered
a
discount
or
a
credit
bc
of
the
stairwell
and
children
running
or
at
a
minimum
bc
of
the
1
45
am
fire
alarm
but
don't
expect
that
here.
