The room is very standard, no frills- now to the good stuff. I do love that the water was hot, with great water pressure. The beds are hard and the pillows aren’t the best, and pretty flat. I did have to clean the bathroom floor again which is expected, for the price and a quick overnight stay this hotel will do. The walls are thin and you can hear the tv in the next rooms. Overall to be honest you can do worse but this isn’t luxury, so keep that in mind.

Whenever I come to Charlotte (which is often) this hotel is my go-to. I’ve been a fan of this Tru Hilton hotel for a couple of years now. However, I was highly disappointed in the cleanliness and quality of the place. The quality has really gone down significantly. When I checked into my room, there was a large bug on the wall and red stains on the floor. I went back downstairs and notified the front desk about what I saw. They offered me another room. I went to the new room and saw the same bug but it was on a different side of the wall. I took a picture and I went BACK downstairs and showed the front desk. She seemed very nonchalant about the situation. She offered me another room. This room was okay but then I woke up around 430a this morning and saw a roach in the bathroom. So I am now completely done with this place. I will definitely find somewhere else to stay. If you’re not a fan of bugs and would actually like to be comfortable during your stay, I would suggest finding a different hotel.

Only 3 pillows included on each full bed. Comforters were anything but comfortable. They need to upgrade the bed linens and add a 4th pillow. Beds state they are queens but they look like full size. I am a HH member and I have a ton of experience with hotels & traveling and I have to say; charging $150 per night is quite expensive for the level of linens they are placing in the rooms. No microwave. No pool. No trash bag liners in the trash bins. They also charge a $35 deposit? Is that even legal to do? Do I need to request a move out inspection just like if I was moving out of an apartment? The cleanliness was also inferior for the value. I had a hair ball in front of my door and someone from the maid service came to my door to drop off towels(since maid service has not been restored I assumed since the pandemic,) and she did not pick up. The vehicles that park in the parking lot are damaged. The toiletries in the rooms were great and the breakfast was ok. Overall; I thought that Tru being a newer brand would have been equivalent or superior than a Hampton inn but it most certainly is not. I presumed due to COVID that they cut staffing and therefore cut corners and it seems they have permanently adopted these protocols. Seems unethical for the price being charged. I will be going to Hampton Inn in the future!

The hotel was ok. I booked a king bed and checked in at 6 pm and was told my room wasn’t ready? I ended up getting a two queen room which was fine since it was one night. I thought it was so odd that I checked in very late and my room still wasn’t ready. The location of the hotel is great though.

This is probably one of my favourite hotels that I've visited! As soon as you walk in, the front desk is straight ahead and surrounded by colourful and flexible seating. The area is spacious and welcomes you with some complimentary hot drinks (water, tea, hot chocolate, coffee). The check-in was quick and easy. They also have a pool table available for guests to use. The room was incredibly spacious and clean. An odd thing that I was confused about, but didn't bring up thought was that the door was already unlocked when I had got to my room... but it looked like it may have just been cleaned. I also know the door didn't close properly if you were to let it close on it's own... so maybe after the housekeeping, it didn't shut properly. I had a great time, and there's a quite a few restaurants near by to check out!

I wanted to thank the head of housekeeping, the front desk on October 7th 2023 the front desk was extremely helpful considering we couldn't find a hotel anywhere. The person in charge of housekeeping made sure we had two rooms available before we got there. My kids loved everything about this place, breakfast was great as well. We will definitely be back!!!!! Thanks guys for a great experience and being kind. We appreciate 🙏 🙌 you.

Jada was outstanding! She was extremely helpful when I needed assistance with my room and was so sweet and genuine in the process. She definitely made my visit at Tru welcoming and pleasant. The hotel overall is very cute, light, and airy. I did not give 5 stars because the rooms were not as well kept as they could have been.

Wonderful stay!! The staff members, Cemone J. and Linda M., were very helpful. I had to book an extra night, and Linda M made it possible. She took extra time to help me book my room for an extra night. This made my stay more enjoyable. Thank you to both of the staff members for doing all they can to help me enjoy my stay. The room upon entering was extremely clean, with a nicely made bed and nicely folded towels. Huge bed and enough space for both of my dogs. The staff was very friendly with dogs; all staff members loved my puppies, and I had no problem bringing them here. Thank you, Tru By Hilton Ayrsley, for making my stay one of the best I’ve had in a while.

Excellent service from staff. Greeted with smiles at every turn. I even had a positive experience with the Manager Mr. Christopher Gardiner who was spoken highly of even by his staff members which says a lot about how great the leadership is!! Really appreciate the stellar service received!!!

You get what you pay for. Bed, bathrooms, and entire room was clean! There was some minor cosmetic damage but nothing to really care about. The common areas of the hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good! Only con is that the rooms are not sound proof so I could hear my neighbors and every movement in the hallway. Overall it was a good stay for a quick work trip

Loved the modern look of the property and it's location. My only negative is the room have very little clothes storage space. Everything else is good. Clean rooms and a professional staff especially Cimone, she is wonderful!

Rooms were clean and towels and bed fresh and clean. There weren’t any trash bags in our trash but luckily we had bought our own. Breakfast had hot eggs, grits, oatmeal packets, sausage, pancake maker, variety of breads and spreads, juice variety and 2% milk. We got to breakfast at 645am and they had plates and utensils and napkins. Lobby is clean. Front desk may greet you but they’re not interactive if that’s ok this is a good spot. We checked in via app and they allowed us to come in early instead of waiting until 3pm! They do charge a deposit of $50 but should be returning it to your card once they see no damages has been done. I’ve experienced this before in previous Hilton hotels. We booked through our app and it was for $118 a night but charged $168. So the additional $50 should return to us. Will update if not! We picked our own rooms near the lobby it did get loud for a new minutes around 9-10pm but once we went to bed shortly after it was quiet. My kids and husband slept fine. The bed is semi firm which is nice I prefer extra firm while husband prefer soft. It was a good balance. We always bring our own blankets but even with the air at 70 it felt hot. To me I felt good but the boys felt warm. You can adjust thermostat but I didn’t want to freeze my daughter since she felt cold at 70. Pool is closed at this time which is normal during this time and we didn’t use the gym. They have ice and water refillable station which is nice! Would come here again, directions on GPS is easy and they have a on site parking lot at the front of hotel is great option for parking although many people parallel park around the hotel.

I had no heat in my room! When I reported to hotel clerk said it would be looked into. Then they said it could not be fixed. After offering me another room, which I would have to move myself to. I said I was tired from being out working all day. They said they had no one to help me move. She offered for me to stay in the room with a significant bonus point credit to my Hilton Honors account. I have the app for points activity and have learned that I have received nothing I was going to use your hotel for large company event in February. I asked them to have someone contact me no one ever contacted me either. It is my understanding that the four other Hilton properties adjacent to this one are owned by the same team. I will make sure I don’t even use a Hilton property for the upcoming company events. You should be ashamed of yourselves for making someone sleep in the cold and not having enough competent physical staff to assist anyone.

I appreciate and the reason I only stay at Tru by Hilton brand hotels is b/c of the consistency and high quality of the stay. The rooms are always clean, smell nice and have comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff, entire hotel is always clean, no matter where I stay.

Clean modern looking rooms and it’s in a nice little area. The women at the front counter who checked us in was sooooo sweet, I wish I got her name but she made our stay! Nothing like some good old fashioned southern hospitality. We didn’t make it to breakfast but it sounded like they did a pretty good spread with eggs, bacon/sausage, pancakes grits and more. If we ever find ourselves needing a place in Charlotte again we would definitely come back.

ATTEMPTED to stay at Tru by Hilton Charlotte Ayrsley on December 8th, 2023. Unfortunately, had a challenging experience with the front desk. Despite conflicting information about payment methods, difficulties with card transactions, and the front desk employee being unhelpful and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, this has made me reevaluate my perception of the company. Considering canceling my reservations at a nearby Hilton for New Year's Eve because of the disappointing service received. This is the second time I've had issues checking into this particular location, and the employee didn't provide any assistance. Also, the room was non-refundable, meaning that money was lost. Hoping for improvements.

Room is clean and modern (not my taste). This is the smallest hotel room I've been in in the US. 10'x11', the bed barley fits.

We had a reservation for today and Check in time was 3pm but the room still wasn’t ready at 5pm. We drove down to attend an event so we had to accept what was available so we could get dressed. We was hoping that once the room we reserved was clean, we could move to it but was told once we receive a room we couldn’t change. Disappointing; since it wasn’t our fault but the room was clean but wasn’t what we reserved. In the future I would hope that they would have the room available at the time they specified

I highly recommend! 🤗 The rooms were beautiful and clean. The staff were absolutely wonderful!! For example, when we checked in, the lady at the desk graciously assisted us in how we could leave our vehicle there during our travels and how the process for our returning world work. Also, I had not printed off a few papers which I realized last minute that I would need, they assisted me in printing those. Added to that, we left our car parked there as we attended my daughter’s Jamaican destination wedding. We felt very safe and confident leaving our car as we traveled. When we returned, the pick up service was quick and easy, for which we were so thankful! Our plane had been delayed 3 hours, so their professionalism meant a lot! We highly recommend this hotel if flying out of Charlotte 😃

Greeted by a shoeless concierge, took forever to check in, room was disgusting, bed uncomfortable. Seriously considering sleeping in the car. And of course the cherry on top was finding a bug in the room. But hey guess we get what we pay for.

Tried calling them beforehand to see if they can do an early check in but can’t get a hold of them. The phone call keeps hanging up for some reason so we just went there directly to see. The Front desk was accommodating and very friendly. We were able to do an early check in as soon as 10am with no charge! Just one more mishap was that we think it was the room service who almost walked in to our room around noon. I just saw his hand holding a key card as soon as he was about to walk in. Good thing they noticed there was guest inside. But overall everything was nice and clean. Toiletries are provided and the lemon scented body soap and fresh scent shampoo and conditioner has a superb scent to it. Couldn’t get enough of it! You need to bring your own toothbrush/toothpaste though. Would definitely come back still.

At check-in the front desk clerk took a little too long to check me in to just find out my room wasn't ready. Had to choose another room on the lowest floor. Didn't knew that the incidentals where going to be the exact amount of one night 35.00 a little to high for a limited service hotel with no amenities just a billiards table. They should at least posted on their website that information. Next day billiards table was out of order cause someone broke the pool stick. breakfast service was poor always running out of things, first morning wasn't fully booked i could notice. Second morning a golf team was staying and took over the breakfast to which they ate like never before making the breakfast hostess work as twice much.

The hotel breakfast was absolutely awful. Aww got downstairs at around 8:30 (ends at 9:30) and they had next to nothing left. I’m gluten free and the only thing I could eat was the singular yogurt that was left and some cereal, which we had to buy milk for because there was none. They didn’t even have forks and everyone there hated working there and didn’t care. Won’t be staying here again.

Nice place I just got misled by the pics thru a 3rd party thinking there was a swimming pool. No microwave except downstairs, but there's a pool table. Room was clean bathroom was ok just seen hairs on the toilet. Housekeepers & front desk were welcoming! Breakfast was better than expected other than the sausage that didn't look too pleasing (gray, I'm used to it being browned) on the bright side I didn't have to make waffles there's a pancake machine you just wave & it cooks them for you, wow!

Not a huge fan of the Tru by Hilton hotels although I am a very loyal Hilton member. The Tru's just always seem to have paper thin walls and floors. The breakfast options were good and coffee was great. Service was good. Location was awesome, lots of good restaurants nearby.

Loved the layout of the hotel. Wish they had ice machines on every floor except just on the main floor. They had everything you needed in the bathroom. You can just show up with clothes and toothbrush and they had you covered. Wish the rooms were a touch bigger. Got a little cramped with four people. They made the rooms smaller for a bigger bathroom.

Bedding needs to be better. Sheet felt like microfiber and hot to the skin. Had skin rash reaction both my daughter and I. Liked the clean shower with the squeezable tubes of body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Air conditioning was loud and very strong if on. We had to constantly change temp so it wouldn’t be too cold or hot.

The staff was wonderful. Security was way better than Embassy Suites. I'm not a fan of the room sizes for the price very small but I did love the shampoos and the body washes that they had and their breakfast was way better than the Embassy Suites too.

The hotel is beautiful and the food was good , the juice could have been better. The room was very clean, but the walls are super thin, you can hear everything from your neighbor even with the tv on or if you're trying to sleep but if you have a quiet neighbor, you'll be good to go. The area around the hotel is very nice. Everything you need is in close proximity, lots of restaurants in the area.
