This hotel was probably a sight to see in the 80s and 90s but unfortunately in 2022 leaves much to be desired for the price. For the things that I like, I like the breakfast in the morning and the omelette bar. I like the real plants in the lobby and the general architecture of the building. What I don’t particularly like are the dated decor. Also during Covid they had to go containers for breakfast in case you had to run. It seems like they no longer do. Also we got a room with a balcony but it was virtually unusable due to a stink bug infestation. And somehow even with the door close the were even making there way into the room. They gave us a room with a broken shower curtain rod so the floors got wet every time we showered. I don’t think these are the issues anyone should be having at this price point. The handicap door openers on the side door seem to work when they want. And when they’re not working the doors are like 300lbs. The complementary drinks are great. But the ladies they have walking around trying to convince you to book vacation for rewards points during the happy hour and breakfast were not. They were nice but I think they could set up a table and allow the guests to enquire if interested instead of walking around interrupting people as they’re trying to relax. I don’t expect people trying to sell me things in the lobby when I book at this price point. All in all I wouldn’t recommend as I feel you can find better accommodations for the price or spend way less for similar.

The hotel is a comfortable option but, like many Embassy Suites, the hotel is in desperate need of updating/renovation. The common areas show signs of wear and tear (taped up handicap door opener buttons, old elevators, inoperable revolving door at the front lobby, shortage of luggage carts, littered guest parking lot by side entrance) and could use work. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The guest room also had signs of wear - wobbly lamp shades sitting atop rusty lamps, nightstands slightly sticky/tacky with so much varnish over the years, shower bar starting to give way and the tile where attached was cracking, decaying grout around vanity, rusty patches along baseboards, small toilets with lids that are slightly too big, no exhaust fan in bathroom, mini fridge needed to be defrosted, no sheer curtain panel in bedroom area so not able to have curtains open without others seeing in, duvet cover was sitting on top of the duvet instead of the duvet being zipped into it, etc. Despite this, the guest room furniture was modern and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plenty of staff was on-hand to quickly clear tables as diners left. Surprisingly, there was only one staff member working the combined omelet/ waffle station so lines formed pretty fast. The first morning, the staffer worked well under pressure and kept the line moving swiftly. The next two mornings there was a much slower staffer who clearly struggled and could have used help. It seems like a lot for one person. During breakfast there were also sales people roaming the floor trying to push timeshare vacation promos on diners and it was a bit off putting. The sales people were polite, but it was annoying to be approached…like an uninvited sales call out of the blue. Given the options in the area, the Embassy has the best breakfast deal of all. However, there might be better renovated hotels elsewhere.

I went for a convention ; the service was decent considering they were full w/ convention goers & normal hotel guest. When we arrived there were no baggage carts. When asked if there were additional or when the baggage carts wld be available. We were informed, if not downstairs other hotel guests had the cards; in turn we wld have to wait. That was a bit of a bummer, though we understood given the fullness of the hotel. If you didn't get extra items such as pillows or blankets when you first arrived. There were none or minimal after check-in. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. The staffing was a bit low, but I believe like w/ everyone it's due to the pandemic. The rooms were nice & clean. I would definitely return to patronize them.

The front desk staff was exemplary, but we experienced issues with the Rocky Creek Grill and the reception hours. Issues we experienced with Rocky Creek Grill were not answering the phone after 5pm and when we arrived at the restaurant, the lights were not on so it did not seem they were open. The staff seemed lackadaisical. The impression was they did not want our business so we ate elsewhere. As far as the reception, each night there was only one person working the bar area when there should probably have been at least two people, especially on a Friday and Saturday night. Each person was overwhelmed but doing the best they could considering the volume of customers they were serving. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff were very accommodating. Overall this hotel definitely could use some renovations. We will not consider staying here again.

I stayed there because its the host hotel for ford racing school. It's literally walking distance to the charlotte motor speedway. As it's been said it slightly dated but I didn't mind. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and I had no problems. The breakfast is great. Omelet station staff is on par and I enjoyed that. 2 free cocktails each evening reception. Reasonable rates . I'll be going back.

I have to admit this hotel is by far other top 5 on my list of places recommended to stay. The energy you feel just pulling up in front of the establishment radiates pure and welcoming energy. The staff is very friendly and helpful beyond belief. This hotel is very clean and provides top of the line customer service. You are greeted with warm smiles and positive attitudes leaving you with positive moods and confidence on knowing you've made the right choice when choosing the embassy. To the staff keep up the incredible hard work pat yourself on the back to a job well done we need more people like you guys from my family to yours thank you kudos to you job well done

I normally love Embassy Suites. The atmosphere is usually so calming and relaxing. This visit was a bit different - it was New Year's Eve so that may have been the difference this time:) I was just looking for a warm place to lay my head and take a shower that night (the true little things in life.) The food was fantastic!!!! But, the rooms need way more attention to cleanliness and basic request like blankets and such on a cold night. Overall, I ate well, stayed warm and safe, and met some interesting people on the journey. So life is good!!! :) I'm so humbled and thankful!!!

This hotel needs immediate care and attention in appearance, repair, and customer service. When we checked in on Saturday, Nov 5th, I was greeted by a front desk rep who told me very curtly before I even got to the front desk that check-in was not till 4 pm for the conference I was attending and I was too early. I said, "ok, but may I simply make sure that my HH number is attached to my reservation correctly?". The rep clearly did not want to help me but walked to the computer and asked for my number. Upon pulling up my number and looking at my reservation, the rep's demeanor changed. All of a sudden I was welcomed to the hotel, I was checked in, handed a room key, and I was given my welcome amenities, as well as my "upgraded room." My status should not have mattered simply because I'm a highly tired HH member - this overall check-in process felt absolutely horrible, and I would have left had I not been there for an onsite conference. Upon walking to my room I was horrified. The carpets move when you walk on them, and they are ripping, literally. This is a major danger in the hallways leading to the rooms as I and many others tripped. The carpets in the room are disgusting and smell like athletes' feet. There is rust all over in the bathroom, including the floor of the shower/bathtub. The ceiling has obvious water stains from a leak above, and the wallpaper is peeling off on every wall in the room. You can tell the staff clearly is not invested. Pictures on the hotel's walls are sideways, the hotel smells, and trash is left in the hallways just showing a lack of overall care. Lastly, we all became aware that multiple people became ill after having the onsite breakfast on Tuesday morning. I really hope this post simply gets movement on management looking at this hotel for safety reasons. I have additionally left this same feedback with the hotel directly online.

This hotel was absolutely amazing! Our first time staying and the entire hotel staff we interacted with were outstanding. Especially a sweet lady I met in the cafe, Ashanti C. We checked out Monday, but prior to breakfast, my day started off pretty rough….when I met her, she was very bubbly and helpful. Sometimes a good coffee and nice smile can change your day. She did that for me, thank you! (Give her a raise) ;)

The place is beautiful!! The rooms, while a little outdated, were clean. Spacious and well kept. It is not a huge convention center but it did well with its size. Customer service was quick to respond and the added bonus of the free cocktails each nice was awesome. The free breakfast was amazing and had a lot to offer not simply donuts and bagels. The only bad thing was I did not trust the water from the sinks... I went to brush my teeth and the water came out black!! There is a picture of the black water in the pictures below.

My friend and I stayed here this past weekend (Jan 13-15) for a convention, and while the cleanliness and food was good, we were disappointed with some of the service. On Friday, we got back to our room around 2 am only to find the pull out bed did not have ANY sheets on the bed or in the room. We went to the front desk only to find out the hotel was short sheets and couldn’t provide any…. For a bed/room we PAID FOR. The front clerk asked if we needed them soon… I responded that it was indeed nearly 3 am at this point, and we would like to be able to sleep. The clerk was nice and said she’d have them send sheets when available. We never received any the whole entire weekend. The amenities for disabled individuals was also extremely concerning. A whole elevator was out of service for the whole weekend and not serviced, and for hosting such a large event, it was stressful. The automatic doors near the elevator for disabled individuals also went out during the weekend, and are extremely hard to push otherwise. For what was paid for the room this was extremely disappointing. The hotel was not prepared to host such a large event, and I hope these issues are fixed before we decide to book again in the future.

Avoid avoid avoid. Staff is not trained. Do not expect Hilton standards at all no less Embassy suites. Meals ended earlier than scheduled. Broken heater. Froze at night manager and staff were unavailable after 9 pm. No call back from Manager after leaving messages (2) . We moved rooms at 6 am but had to hunt someone down in administrate offices to do so. Front desk empty no employees. The other room had blocked toilet bowl. In the end they still charged for the high level room but then after freezing we changed to the 3rd floor. They still charged us. They wanted to comp us $81 per night for 2 nights because that is the amount if money they received from Hilton Honors. However it cost me $150 plus taxes each night. I’m silver member. Very aggravating!!!! Disgusting and disgusted!!

I AM LIVID WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! I made reservations months ago, I was clear when I informed them, I will not be staying. I informed you, I was paying for the room for my nephew, he will be staying. My nephew had a life changing accident that has impacted his life! I wanted to treat him and attempt to bring him some happiness as he goes through this difficult time. Because I wasn’t the person physically staying, my nephew didn’t have my CC. What gets me so upset is, the person on the phone when I made reservations should’ve informed me to sign a CC release form at that time…they did not. Instead, they took my nephews card! Why bother to take his information when he should’ve never been disturbed!? This could’ve been avoided! After he checks in, he informed me that they bothered him instead of reaching out to me. I would’ve signed the release form and all would’ve been right. I finally get in touch with the front desk, they electronically send the form, I sign it and they confirmed they received it. They assured me, my nephew won’t be charged! Guess what!? My nephew was charged, I was charged and no one will pick up the phone at the front desk so I can straighten this mess up! All of this could’ve been avoided by informing me to sign a CC release form at the time I made reservations! How simple was that!? This is truly an EPIC fail on this establishment’s part, I’m so frustrated and disappointed with you all! Response to management: What you stated doesn’t relate to my situation! A CC release form would’ve been sufficient and avoided this entire mess! As this was told to me after. I filled a CC release form once it was sent to me on the night of check in. Your staff screwed up, and by this poor excuse of an apology, I can see where the incompetence stems from…lack of accountability!

With as many good reviews for this hotel I was hopeful to have a good experience when staying in this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and even waived our parking fee due to the wait to get checked-in. Beyond that, the hotel itself was not impressive. There was an odor as soon as we walked into our suite. Everything is very old/dated and worn. When I sat down on the couch I could not miss the smell that was on the furniture. The whole couch was oily because of how much it had been used and the arms on the couch were black from the number of hands that have been on them. There were large black stains all over the carpet through the entire suite. The bathroom was in better condition, but there was hair on the shower walls left from the last guest. The light switches didn't totally engage unless you pressed hard on the rocker switches and all the lamps had been unplugged in the entire suite. All in all, for the price we paid for the night we stayed I had higher expectations that were not met. I would suggest skipping this place and going someplace newer.

My wife & I took a day out of town & experience something new in Charlotte. We stayed at the Embassy suites in Charlotte/Concord, & was lucky enough to get a front room with a view of a hole on the golf course, Camping World, Hendrick Chevrolet & Charlotte Motor Speedway baby! We visited downtown E. Trade street, &Tryon also tried out a couple of Charlotte restaurants while enjoying the free Embassy Suites house drinks after calling it an evening. Had a refreshing shower that almost sent me to the emergency room. That's one slippery when wet bathtub in room 1012, but I caught myself. We rested and relaxed, had a good nights sleep. In the morning we both really enjoyed our made to order breakfast that came with the room. M6 wife had two over easy eggs while I appreciated the skill of the chef, making a delicious bacon & ham with mushrooms, spinach and cheese. We would love to come back one day & do this all over again.

The hotel could use some remodeling but some may love the old school look. The atmosphere was great & the staff was very friendly. Our room was so clean! I would definitely stay at this location again. 😊

Are all the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. A special shout out goes to Misty. She was the housekeeper on our floor for the days that we stayed here. We had problems with the microwave and within five minutes she had another microwave for us. Earlier there was a plumbing problem. Apparently, our tub had been leaking on the ceiling to the room below. Upon returning from my morning walk I was curious if the plumbers had fixed the leak. I spoke with the front desk, and they didn’t know who to call to find out Misty was quick to respond by knowing who to call so we could use our shower without worry, We would cross paths on occasion, and there would always be a “hello, a good morning and have a nice day”. She did a wonderful job cleaning and straightening the rooms making our stay that much nicer. She is an asset to your staff and I hope will be monetarily recognized for her efforts. Thanks again, Misty!

This is a beautiful hotel , very comfortable, clean and modern. The hotel is in a great location close to the speedway and lots of restaurants, but the best part is the people who work there. I made the mistake of using a third party to make my reservation and when I had an issue with that company Rebecca and Brittany went above and beyond helping me get things taken care of. Top notch customer service indeed!

Excellent conference venue. I did not stay at the hotel, but attended a three-day professional conference here, staying off-site overnight. Elegant, yet practical, decir and layout. Clean and large restroom facilities. Central atrium was very tranquil with a large fountain & “spa music” playing day & night. Two restaurants & a coffee shop. Access to a golf course. Nice fitness facilities with indoor pool. My only complaints are: sound was not always the best in conference areas; box lunches were not hot & chicken was dry. Friends who stayed in the rooms had no complaints.

I'm a coach for Special Olympics and our county used this hotel for the state tournament last weekend. Its our second time staying at the hotel and they are consistently high quality. This trip Derrick the GM provided exceptional service. Normally their breakfast starts at 7:30 on the weekend but we had an early game on Saturday. He arranged for his staff to start breakfast early so the team could still eat before heading to the field. Greatly appreciate his attention to our needs and the staff's willingness to come in early to provide our athletes with the best day possible. Thank you!

Beautiful up to date hotel. The lobby and dining area were clean and well lit. All staff that I encountered were really awesome. My room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options to choose from. If in the area, I would recommend.

Make sure to checkout the spa services!!! Well kept secret for best massages and facials near Charlotte/Concord!!! This is our go to!!! There's a restaurant on site and room service with very nice balconies so you can get some air if you want. We also had our wedding after party here and they even upgraded our room to the penthouse!!! It was so lovely!!! The rooms in every other instance we've stayed here were clean and as expected, the staff very friendly and accommodating!!!

Normally I love embassy suites. We stay at them all over all the time. This one was a bit different. The carpets are stained and dirty and the whole place kinda smells a bit. The breakfast wasn’t good, except for the fresh omelette bar. Doors out to a nice patio were always locked. Decor and furniture was all super out of date. Stuff left in the elevators by the cleaners.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites during a recent Business trip. I travel frequently and have experienced all levels of service. This hotel did an excellent job at customer service. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. The employees at the evening reception at at the coffee show specifically went above and beyond. Will definitely stay again during future visits to Charlotte!

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!! The rooms are dated, stains in the carpets, a hornet nest on the balcony, and the beds are extremely uncomfortable. You will be literally sleeping on a paper-thin mattress cot if you book a king bed. This bed was so horrible, it resulted in severe back pain. I personally left a message with the front desk about how unhappy my stay was and she ensured me that she will tell her manager. She took down all my information told me that he will call me. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL OR EMAIL FROM ANYONE.

Very nice hotel with a conference center. Eleven stories tall with very nice rooms. My only surprise was they did not have USB charging ports in the room. The lobby area has comfortable seating and a good dining area. There is a restaurant, spa, and more attached to the lobby. I used the fitness room which has treadmills and some dumbbells.

My family and our dog stayed here while visiting the area for the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. While the rooms could use some updating, the rooms were very clean and spacious. We never felt crammed with four people and a dog. The service was phenomenal. The staff were always incredibly friendly and accommodating. I would like to highlight the staff the most. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Also, the hotel itself is extremely pet friendly. Highly recommend!!

Tremendous staff. Especially at Breakfast Buffet, Complimentary Evening reception and Made to order Breakfast. "Mozelle" and her helpers did a fabulous job hosting Easter Egg hunt and kids Dance off. Thank you! Only recommendation is too improve pool water quality. Quite cloudy. Hotel was clean and though some furniture needs updated (Sofa in our suite), we had a wonderful weekend.

We stayed this weekend for a cheerleading event for my granddaughter. My grandkids had a great time. The hotel is beautiful. The only thing I can make a comment on was they could get new couches for the pull out sofas but that certainly would not make me not stay there. The morning breakfast was amazing. I am a diamond member and have stayed at a lot of embassy suites. I really want to give a shout out to the evening receptionist bartender Althea. She was amazing. She made you feel so welcome. She was so friendly. She wasn't just someone standing there serving you drinks. You are very lucky to have her at your hotel.

The room was a bit outdated. Tub had rust and sink kept clogging when we would use a normal amount of water pressure. Loved the design of the hotel but it's definitely time to upgrade. TVs, tub/shower. Everything! The view was amazing from our room, wouldn't stay here again until they decide to upgrade the rooms.

  • 2/5 Deirdre H. 1 year ago on Google
Rooms were okay. The pillows were tiny and the shower handle needed updating (handle was lose, never fully turned the shower head on). We had a lot of issues with reservations and checking in/out since 2 were under my name - my card was charged, when my husband had swiped his cards, they mixed up our room and I had issues with booking over the phone as well. The employees in the morning were more helpful. The Starbucks/Cafe was good. The sofa bed was easy to set up, but I didn't see extra pillows for it other than the 4 on the king bed.

The hotel is very dated. My duvet comforter was dirty with stains over it. My phone didn’t work in the room so I had to go downstairs to get clean linen. The hotel is pet friendly and they allow them to stay on all the floors which isn’t good practice. Rooms need to be updated with usb connections for charging phone especially with the room rates… upgrades needed. The breakfast is on point! The lady that makes the omelets is outstanding…please tip her!!

I was very disappointed 😞 with our last stay. Once one of my favorite Hotels but this was probably my last visit. Very short on staff. Concord North Carolina has also gone down hill. My family only felt safe in the hotel. I had not visited since covid. The entire experience was a disappointment. Rooms were perfect.

The room was big and clean and comfortable. They were very pleasant. They went above and beyond for us, we had gotten into an accident our second day, when the Uber driver finally got us back to the hotel (car was totaled) we hadn’t had dinner yet and the restaurant was closed. They got food for us out of little store in the hotel and wouldn’t let us pay. The young lady that was working in the store just got off from work and she took us to the store to get Tylenol. When we checked out a day early they didn’t charge us for checking out early. I would highly recommend this hotel. If I ever dare to go back I would most definitely stay here!
