    Staff was very friendly and kind. Beyond that, we did not have a positive experience. There are only two elevators - one of which was not in service at all during our 4 day stay, with no โ€œout of serviceโ€ sign posted. There is no service elevator for housekeeping, so we often could not board the one working elevator due to their large equipment not allowing us space. Housekeeping only comes upon your request, which is posted on a sticker on your roomโ€™s bathroom mirror. When we went to the front desk to request it early one morning, we were told by front desk staff that we needed to request it at least 24 hours in advance - that is not noted anywhere. The continental breakfast is standard as in any hotel that serves it, however, they charge you $12 per person for it here. I ordered one item, $12. My toddler got scrambled eggs that she took two bites of, $12. Overall, not a great stay.

    Lovely newer hotel. The bar area is casual and welcoming. The bartender was very friendly, informative, and a great conversationalist. Super convenient with many restaurants nearby within walking distance. The parking isn't the best, but it isn't horrible.

    What can I say great location the hotel is around everything check in was a breeze pool view was amazing rooms were very clean. I traveled to charlotte a lot this was my first time staying at this Hilton location. I have found my new place free parking I always stay at Hilton but this location reminded me of Richmond Virginia short pump location which was amazing as well 10 out of 10 I recommend.

    The price is right, location is right. The pool was closed for remodeling (off season too) but looks nice. Covered parking is nice but the walk to access hotel entrance is annoying. Also chose this location primarily for the access to EV charging. However, there is only 1 spot for the entire hotel. The charge point is annoyingly app controlled, poorly located, and charges for use... Charges way too much for the actual cost of use, especially considering the hotel is relatively on the higher end of cost for hotels of the same level. Honestly charging for hotel customers should be free and adequate charger availability should be available. You can keep the charger as pay per use for non customers, but people staying should have access without charge, as so many other hotels provide.

    I would rate the hotel, the staff, and the location 10 stars if I were able to do so. I have been traveling to Charlotte monthly for many years. I have always avoided this hotel because I like bigger rooms and suites. I most often stay at Embassy Suites for that exact reason. I decided to give this hotel a shot because I was tired of the staff at the Embassy Suites, I had been staying at for the past six months being so unfriendly, uncaring, and unprofessional. As much as I love their rooms and lobby, I could no longer give them my business. I am certainly glad I did as this Hilton has not only earned my business, I will not stay anywhere else in Charlotte unless they have no rooms available when I need to make my business trip. Every single employee I encountered from the front desk to the managers, to the restaurant, to the housekeepers were simply awesome. Every one of them was professional, friendly, genuine, caring, and happy. The lobby is laid out wonderfully to meet with people, the bar is in a terrific location, the hotel management should be incredibly proud of their Team and the Hotel owners should be incredibly proud of their managers. My only regrets are not trying the hotel many years ago and not remembering the names of all that I encountered as they all deserve the highest of accolades. I will give up my suites for the smaller rooms because the hotel staff is incredible. As a business owner of 34 years myself, I understand the value of amazing customer service and this hotel exceeded all expectations. I also want to recognize that they not only appreciated me, but they also recognized me as a long-time Diamond member, which many of the hotels take for granted. The better part was I witnessed six different people/couples checking in over my three night stay that were not Diamond members, in fact three of them were not members at all. Every single one of them was treated with the same friendliness and professionalism that I was. I applaud the entire Team at the Hilton Garden Inn in Waverly. The General Manager on down and up to the Senior Executive Team should stick out their chests and be proud of your Team.

    I usually donโ€™t review places but this one needs this review. Itโ€™s a nice and clean place but other than thatโ€ฆ it has nothing else good about it. Do NOT expect friendly service and do expect free breakfast here like all the hotels in the entire area. They have an overpriced breakfast with overpriced items in their snack and drink area. They serve the same exact breakfast as other hotels but put a price on it. The front desk guy was very disrespectful and seemed like he had an attitude and especially the woman that worked there at night with him. Housekeeping knocks on your door at 8AM and bang on your door as loud as they can until you answer and donโ€™t care if youโ€™re sleeping. Once you open the door they have an attitude and get all mad about you having to leave soon. Best to go to another hotel; itโ€™s cheaper and better service! Plus free breakfast :)

    We have used this hotel a couple of times for full week large group training. We have had to make numerous adjustments during the weeks (aka last minute), and they have been extremely accommodating. The catered food options are delicious, and the sales, front desk, and event staff are super attentive and friendly. There is a fabulous balcony next to the meeting rooms (shady but nice and breezy), and the pool deck is also very nice. There are tons of places to eat, shopping, and most anything else you might need within walking distance to the hotel, so there's no need to rent a car for the week. We have definitely been pleased

    If you're going to Charlotte, this is a great place to stay! Staff is extremely polite and professional, especially Daniel. He advised us re: walking distance restaurants, etc. Complimentary water and bath accommodations, including mounted shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. On-site restaurant/bar. Great price, awesome room!

    The hotel is nice. My only issue was that the restroom could have been cleaner. The front desk clerk we talked to upon check-in seemed "so thrilled to be there"... (sarcasm). Other than that, this place is a great place to stay.

    All I can say is wow! The hotel was spotless, parking was huge (and free) and the staff were very friendly. Firstly, the hotel has anti-bacterial wipes and hand sanitizer everywhere, which is very convenient especially during COVID. The cleaning staff are very friendly and deserve credit for keeping the hotel so clean! Personally I felt more comfortable seeing the cleanliness because it shows care for the building. The parking and location of the hotel was perfect. There is a large plaza nearby with tons of restaurants, a Whole Foods, gyms, etc. There's also a gas station at an intersection nearby plus access to the highway within minutes. Not to mention, parking is free! Lastly, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. From the front desk/concierge, cleaning staff, and the bartender, everybody made us feel comfortable during our stay. I can't say the same for other hotels I've stayed at. Definitely a great place to stay!

    Hilton Garden inn Charlotte appeared clean right up until the roaches came out. Update: I simply mentioned the unwanted guests to reception and showed a picture on our way past desk. The hotel reached out to me via email apologizing and stating they were letting their pest vendor know and would have this issue corrected. I do appreciate the acknowledgement although in this situation a proactive approach would have left us with a much better experience and would have recommended staying at HGI. We may give them another try but if we find roaches again we will need to rethink Hilton honors membership

    Very nice hotel in a great location. Rooms were very clean, well equipped and the staff at the front desk and the breakfast service was friendly and welcoming. The parking garage is convenient, and the area has many good dining options. Would stop here again when traveling to Charlotte.

    Great hotel with appreciative staff. They welcomed me in at every arrival and wished me a good day upon each departure. The location is the best with first class restaurants, shopping and a Whole Foods nearby.

    The hotel is in a great location however the service is subpar. I chose this hotel based on amenities and when we arrived we were informed that the pool would be closed for the duration of our trip. With a pool crazed 6 year old this was extremely disappointing. It was also one of the hottest days of the year with a heat index of 103 over the fourth of July. Staff was not helpful as to why the pool was closed. Rooms were clean but I could have stayed in a clean room elsewhere for a much lower price.

    Nice hotel and location. The only issue I had is that you call to reserve but don't actually speak to someone at the hotel most times. If you have an issue, no one wants to help because they say you didn't speak to someone at the hotel. You get a general answering service. I had agreed on a specific daily rate for my stay and was told the price went up when I needed to add a day. The rate went up for ALL days not just that one. Eventually it was adjusted by a very helping person at the desk after arriving. Her name started with a "T" but overall I would stay there again. Location was very convenient for what we needed. Place was clean and friendly.

    Absolutely terrible experience. Not only did they charge my card twice for the one visit I booked with them, but now one pending transaction on my checking account went through for the full total for Hilton to get their money. BUT I am still down 200$ for the other charge that they did on my card that's been pending for 4 days and still isnt released to me. When I called they didnt offer anything as a recompense or to accommodate the fact that I'm down 200$ , nothing. So if you want to stay at a hotel that doesnt care about it's people and their money and take yours and hold it for a few days . The crazy thing is , its not even bc of incidentals or any damage done. Just a mistake on their end . I will never stay at a Hilton again bc of this kind of treatment and lack of care

    Kinda expensive for what you get I've stayed at way nicer places in the area that offered alot more for 2/3rds the cost. So I don't really think your getting what your paying for other then a name but you can forget about a mint on the pillow or even a tub in my room. Bed was nice tho.

    I stayed there Sunday July 16th for the Erykah Badu Concert in Charlotte. I must say it was a FABULOUS Hotel. Nice Bar in the Lobby. Clean rooms and I met some nice people from all over ! It was walking distance from every restaurant; Sports Bar and Grocery Store! Not to mention my view from my room was amazing ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜! Enjoyed it sooo much!

    I stayed one night over St Patrick's Day. The hotel is what one would expect for a Hilton Garden Inn. They have always been very professionally run in my experience. I enjoy having room on 7th floor as it was nice views. The room was very nice. It had large shower and large room. The bed was very comfortable. I liked the bar in the lobby. They had good selection of beers including some local brews. The prices were very reasonable. Parking is convenient to the hotel. The staff was friendly although there was not a ton of interaction as I've gotten accustomed to self check in and digital key on the Hilton Honors app. I really like just going directly to my room without having to interact with people or wait in any lines.

    I had an emergency travel and booked over the phone it was fast and easy. Once I arrived I was in my room within 5 min. Will always stay and recommend the Hilton and Hampton. This specific location, parking was a little tricky but was able to find a near by parking deck and got lucky with a short walk.

    The staff at this Hilton Garden Inn (esp Alphonso) made our short holiday a true stand out! We had a range of people coming and going to the Charlotte area recently with my mom in her 80s & I needed an accessible room a few days. With lots of family locally and more flying in and out, we wanted mom comfortable but not burning up all her energy running all over town. The team at this hotel from the reservation making notes on rooms needs to laughing with all the greetings and card games in the lobby was enough to make sure I will prioritize this property in the future. They made great suggestions for meals, the breakfast was great as was the bar... really we had it all! Every single staff member I met was delightful and helpful, and they made my mom feel so at home so was able to enjoy family WHILE getting enough rest & rejuvenation time. Thank you so much!

    We needed to add a room last minute and they were beyond accommodating. The front desk and staff were extremely attentive and friendly. They are also pet friendly which made our stay with our 7 pound Morkie even better. There is a fabulous pool deck to enjoy the outdoors, however the pool is not heated. There are tons of places to eat, shop, and most anything else you might need within walking distance to the hotel, so there's no need to use the car for your stay. We also loved the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion so much, we purchased them to use at home (not for sale at hotel, used Amazon). We LOVED it here and will definitely be back.

    Located right on the strip with all the resteraunts and shops. Nice upscale feel. The pool is located on the 4th floor and it nice that it is up out of public view but also outdoors. Feels great on a hot summer day. The pagodas and outdoor furniture are very nice. Even outdoor shower for you to rinse off. And the outdoor shower had warm water!

    Yesterday I had the pleasure of conducting a business meeting onsite in the conference room and it was fabulous. Yes, the hotel is very well.maintained, parking is a breeze, and the staff were all attentive to everyone coming through the lobby, not just myself. The consensus is this is checking all of the boxes formatted great hotel in the heart of Waverly and worth a look to secure quality lodging while in south Charlotte, NC.

    This hotel is in the perfect location. You will be in walking distance of several restaurants, shops, department stores, grocery stores, ice cream shop, etc. You name it you got it. The hotel staff are super friendly and professional. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. I suggest booking a room that's facing the courtyard of the neighboring stores/restaurants fo a great view. You will definitely not regret staying at this hotel. It's so worth it.

    **Beautiful Hotel with Access to Everything ** From the lobby to the room this hotel delivered a clean, professional experience. I was traveling here for business I was able to check in with access to my room within minutes upon my arrival. The front desk staff was very nice understood I was in a hurry for meeting and helped me quickly. The lobby is great for business meetings. One on ones are perfect with plenty of spacious seating. The room had lots of USB plugs along with the lobby furniture. Again when it comes to business itโ€™s hotel really did a great job at marketing to the traveling business professional. Lots of eating options nearby as well.
