Yesterday
was
my
first
time
at
Village
Tavern.
I
was
there
for
a
group
brunch
event.
We
were
offered
tea
while
we
waited
for
others
to
join.
I
had
the
chamomile
tea.
I
enjoyed
it
&
plan
to
see
if
I
can
purchase
the
brand
myself.
I
drank
mine
as-is.
If
you
want
sweeteners,
you'll
need
to
ask
for
it.
Others
in
my
group
enjoyed
the
peppermint
tea
but
had
to
ask
for
honey.
I
ordered
the
ham
&
cheese
omelet
and
the
crab
cake.
Being
a
MD
girl,
I
tend
to
judge
restaurants
by
their
crab
cakes.
They
passed.
Most
restaurants
in
the
south
have
more
bread
than
crab
meat.
This
was
straight
crab
meat;
it
could've
used
a
little
Old
Bay
or
mustard,
but
those
are
my
personal
preferences.
The
omelet
was
great
&
filling.
It
came
out
hot,
but
I
was
able
to
enjoy
it
right
away.
The
omelet
came
with
hashbrowns,
but
they
were
just
fried
potatoes
w/a
few
onions,
imo.
They
were
good.
The
omelet
also
came
with
a
blueberry
muffin.
My
only
take
away,
there
seemed
to
be
stains
in
both
the
mug
&
the
water
container.
I
was
too
busy
talking
that
I
didn't
notice
it
until
I'd
already
drank
the
tea.
If
the
containers
are
just
stained,
no
problem.
Unfortunately,
the
stains
give
the
appearance
of
dirty
containers.
A
few
people
made
substitutions
for
their
orders.
Someone
ordered
a
Benedict
&
didn't
realize
the
middle
of
the
eggs
weren't
cooked
when
our
server
mentioned
that
the
eggs
were
fried.
He
apologized.
She
wanted
the
same
order
but
with
scrambled
eggs.
Someone
ordered
sweet
potato
fries
but
didn't
want
all
of
the
sugar.
She
ordered
regular
fries
instead.
The
server
was
pleasant
the
entire
time.
Would
definitely
return
on
my
own.
